HEALTHY EATING Food
gives me energy,
makes me grow
and helps me to stay healthy.
I need to eat something from all the food groups every day:
fruit and vegetables, cereals and grains, fats and sugars, meat and protein.
Fruit and vegetables give me vitamins and minerals .
They help me to grow and stay healthy.
Cereals and grains give me energy .
Fats and sugars give me energy.
They are very important for my nervous system.
Too much of this food can make me fat and can be bad for my teeth!
Meats and proteins give me important minerals .
They help me to build and repair my body.
Dairy foods give me calcium.
Calcium helps to make my teeth and my bones strong.
