Food Recovery Networkof Marist College
What is Food Recovery Network?Food Recovery Network unites students at colleges and universities to fight food waste and hunger by recovering perishable food that would otherwise go to waste from their campuses and the surrounding communities and donating it to people in need.
Supported by Sodexo, Bon Appétit Management Company, Chartwells and many independent dining providers.
Mission/Purpose
1. To unite the community and students of all backgrounds and majors to create a food recovery program to help end hunger within the surrounding community
2. To provide social activities and community service involvement opportunities for students and the community.
3. To act as a liaison between the student body as a whole and local community and the Food Recovery Network administration.
4. To provide awareness and educate the Marist College student body and the greater community about the issues of hunger and food waste.
5. To protect the academic and non-academic rights of the student body.6. To enhance the educational enrichment for the local community associated with food
waste.

Social Service ClubOpen to all students and faculty of Marist College, as well as
the surrounding general public.Requirement of membership
attending at least one of the recovery runs/community service events that occur in a semester, and the concluding meeting at the end of each semester.
