Educational social-cultural project To create a cafeteria with the students

Focusing heavily on ”you are what you eat”

Instil in the students a genuine and ”down to

earth” attitude and enjoyment of ”real” food

To have an open and frank dialogue

concerning attitudes and behaviour

relating to the culinary experience

To supply the students with healthy values

regarding food on the ”journey of life”

Enhance and augment the students

imagination, creativity, and sense of taste

Teams and resources

12 classes participate in the project

1/3 of the students participate

cooking activities in the kitchen at a

time

Duration: 3 weeks for each class –

that is each team cooks for 1 week

The food is sold in the cafeteria

The food…!

We only use seasonal vegetables and fruit

Daily home baked bread

Every day there are fresh mixed salads

Dessert on Fridays…! (René´s favourites…)

Alternating between served portions

and buffet

Both cold and hot dishes

Beverages: Water with fresh lemon

Goals and criteria for success

That the students have experienced the project week

as being one that is fun, exciting and interesting

That the teaching staff are ”fully onboard” so that the

students experience that the project is a natural

extension of the normal curriculum.

That the parents express a positive

attitude about ”Food Station”
