City Safe 2 4

Accidents can occur often when traffic is crawling along. In speeds between

3.6km/h and 30km/h, City Stop detects if the car ahead has unexpectedly

stopped and automatically applies the brakes to slow the vehicle down.

Active Park Assist 1

First it helps you find a parking spot that’s just the right fit. Then it virtually

parallel parks itself. How? Simply push a button, put the Ford Kuga into gear,

take your hands off the wheel and watch it perfectly steer itself into your

parking space. All you have to do is work the accelerator and brakes – and relax.

Traction Where You Need It

This isn’t just any AWD. Every 16 milliseconds the Kuga adjusts which wheels get torque, so your cornering

and traction is always at an optimum. Rain, hail, snow or shine. In all sorts of road conditions. But this isn’t the only

technology working to keep you eff ortless connected to the road. Torque Vectoring Control automatically transfers

torque to the front wheels with the most grip. The front end hugs the inside of every bend for superb handling,

virtually eliminating under-steering.

Torque Adjusts 62.5 Times a Second

The Kuga’s Intelligent AWD monitors each wheel and increases or decreases the amount of torque to

optimise grip and handling in all conditions. A display in your instrument panel lets you see how the system

is performing, by giving you a graphic illustration of the power distribution between all four wheels.

Make the most of the terrain around you. The Kuga’s All-Wheel Drive and streamlined power

and effi ciency prepares you for whatever your day serves up, with confi dence.

Adjustable Load Floor

Moving irregular shaped gear or furniture is no problem with the Kuga.

Simply lower the fl oor in the back to make the storage space deeper, or

fold the rear seats down to create a fl at load surface.

Whilst Ambiente and Trend includes Rollover Mitigation as standard,

Titanium models receive the AdvanceTrac® Roll StabilityControl (RSC®)

Lane Keeping Aid1

If you inadvertently begin to drift out of your lane, your steering wheel will

vibrate to let you know. At the same time, an alert appears in the instrument

panel and steering torque directs you back to the lane you were in, reminding

you to move back.

Blind Spot Information System® (BLIS)1

If another vehicle is in your blind spot when changing lanes, the Blind Spot

Information System alerts you with a discreet warning light built into the driver

and passenger doors’ side mirrors.

City Safe1

When traffi c is crawling along, it can be easy to miss someone suddenly

stopping. In speeds under 30 km/h, City Safe detects if the car ahead

has unexpectedly stopped and automatically applies the brakes.

Intelligent Protection System (IPS)

Kuga’s advanced Intelligent Protection System (IPS) uses a range of sophisticated technologies that are designed to help protect you including an

ultra-high strength steel safety cage, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and front and curtain airbags.

Adaptive Cruise Control1

You set the pace. Adaptive Cruise Control will automatically adjust your speed if the car in front of you slows down. Forward Alert triggers an audio and

visual warning when it detects risk of a forward-collision, while the Emergency Brake Assist simultaneously readies the brakes to execute full braking

performance.

Note: A child seat should never be placed in the front passenger seat when the Ford vehicle is equipped with an operational front passenger airbag. The safest place for children is properly restrained on the second-row seats.
