Have you read any of the books in these series? I love Mercy Watson, and Wings of Fire is becoming a fast favorite.

NEWS FLASH Seems like there are quite a few spin-off series coming out of the series we already love. For Fancy Nancy fans, a new series starring Fancy Nancy’s sister JoJo is about to hit your library. Watch for JoJo and the Magic Trick and JoJo and the Big Mess coming in March 2017. For Goosebumps fans, a new series, Goosebumps Slappyworld, comes out in February 2017 with Book #1, Slappy Birthday to You. For Percy Jackson fans, the second book in the Trials of Apollo, The Dark Prophecy, comes out May 2017. Keep an eye out for these new series to show up on your library’s shelves.

MY FAVORITE THINGS Have you played Pokémon Go yet? The game is available in six different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. It is fun to play with a team, but you need to be careful. Make sure you pay attention to everything around you and don’t talk to strangers.

I usually play the game for just a few hours a week and I have fun tracking down all of the characters in my Pokédex. I found Pokémon likes the places matching your surroundings. You can find Water-type Pokémon at the beach and

Grass-type in an open field. Many libraries are Pokéstops where you can stock up on supplies. While you are at the library, don’t forget to check out some Pokémon books to learn more about the characters.
