BRINGS SPANISH FAVORITES TO CAUSEWAY BAY

March 2014, Hong Kong – Mira Moon Hotel brings a new addition to Hong Kong’s culinary scene

with Spanish tapas at the fashionable SuperGiant Tapas & Cocktail Bar.

“When we started working on the concept of a new menu for the restaurant, we noticed a

demand in the city for good, honest Spanish food but with a twist,” said Executive Chef

Guillermo Delavault. “Adding a dash of Chinese influence to the dishes and service style, we

created a stylish tapas and cocktail bar utilizing my Catalonian experience with a nod to the local

culture.”

SuperGiant’s contemporary food offering of Spanish tapas, set against the chic Wanders & yoo

interior, brings the flair and grace of Spanish culture to the newly opened Mira Moon Hotel. And

with newly appointed Executive Chef Guillermo Delavault, hailing from Argentina, Super Giant is

set to be the hottest dining experience in Causeway Bay’s happening restaurant scene.

Tapas are small sharing plates of simple, flavorful Spanish fare that are to be enjoyed over lively

conversation with friends and colleagues. Celebrations begin and friendships deepen over plates

of crispy Duck Habana Cilindro or street style Chinese Egg Waffles topped with Serrano Ham.

The SuperGiant menu will feature a combination of creative and authentic tapas as well as a

wide selection of main dishes and fresh seafood.

Exceptionally-crafted, unique cocktails inspired by the Moon Goddess mythology, provide a

dazzling twist to the ever-familiar cocktails found in Hong Kong’s bars. With fruit infused

combinations and distinctive ingredients such as gold leaf, the cocktails balance the fresh flavors

of garlic, ripe tomatoes, and paprika that feature prominently in Spanish cuisine.

Design

SuperGiant Tapas & Cocktail Bar derives its name from Supergiant’s, the most massive and most

luminous of stars. The astronomy theme blends seamlessly with Mira Moon’s outlandish interior

décor - a playful revision of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival Fairytale - and can be experienced

to its fullest in the privacy of the Moon Lounge, where the Jade Rabbit gazes upon the ethereal

glow of the moon against ebony black walls.

Award-winning interior designer, Marcel Wanders and inspired international property design

company, yoo created a fashion forward feel using Marcel’s signature white Topiary columns

and extravagant gothic-like black chandeliers. The vertical green outdoor terrace connected to

SuperGiant – Secret Garden - evokes a chic alfresco party atmosphere with space to drink,

smoke and unwind. Whilst the indoor private Moon Lounge, offers a more exclusive dinner

experience and can be booked for private dining.
