TITANS CONCLUDE PRESEASON

THURSDAY IN GREEN BAY

THIS WEEK’S GAME

NASHVILLE, TENN. — The Tennessee Titans (2-1) play their final preseason game this week,

traveling to Green Bay to meet the Packers (1-2). Kickoff at Lambeau Field (capacity 72,928)

is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT. This is the seventh consecutive year the Titans and Packers

are meeting to close out the preseason.

TIME CHANGE

This week’s kickoff time was moved up one hour from its originally scheduled time to 6

p.m. CDT. The change, first announced July 9, occurred after both teams' television partners

expressed an interest in joining network coverage of the Democratic National Convention by

approximately 9 p.m.

THE BROADCAST

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flag-

ship WKRN-Channel 2 in Nashville. Cory Curtis will handle play-by-play duties, while former

Titans running back Eddie George will provide color commentary. Joe Dubin will report from

the sidelines. Viewers outside of Nashville can check their local listings for additional Titans

preseason affiliates. A full listing of preseason affiliates is available on page 2 of this release.

Additionally, every Titans game is available on the Titans Radio Network, including flag-

ship 103.3-WKDF and more than 70 Titans Radio affiliates across the Mid-South. The Titans

Radio broadcast team includes the “Voice of the Titans” Mike Keith, color commentator

Frank Wycheck, sideline reporter Cody Allison and gameday host Larry Stone.

LAST WEEK

After jumping out to a 2-0 record in the first two weeks of the preseason, the Titans vis-

ited Atlanta in Week 3. Despite the Titans taking an early 3-0 lead, the Falcons scored the

remainder of the game’s points to win 17-3. Most of the Titans and Falcons starters played

the entire first half, which ended tied at 3-3.

The Packers picked up their first preseason win in Denver last week. Starting quarter-

back Aaron Rodgers played into the third quarter and completed 18 of 22 passes for 193

yards and one touchdown in a 27-24 victory.

REGULAR SEASON PREVIEW

This week’s preseason game previews what promises to be a highly-anticipated regular

season bout between the Titans and Packers. In just over two months (Nov. 2), the Packers visit

Tennessee in their second regular season appearance at LP Field. The Titans, who hold a 5-4

all-time advantage in the regular season series, won the previous meeting at LP Field in 2001.

The Packers, winners of the NFC North in 2007 under head coach Mike McCarthy, go

into this season for the first time with Rodgers, the 24th overall draft pick in 2005, as their

starting quarterback. He replaces Brett Favre, the team’s starter since the 1992 season

who recently came out of a brief retirement and was traded to the New York Jets.

FINAL ROSTER CUTDOWN FOLLOWS GAME

On Aug. 30, two days after their game in Green Bay, the Titans will be mandated by NFL

rules to reduce their roster from 75 players to the regular season limit of 53 players.

The first roster reduction from 80 to 75 players must take place no later than Tuesday,

Aug. 26.

� Jeff Fisher indicated earlier this week that many Titans starters

would play into the third quarter at Green Bay, providing their most

extensive action of the preseason.

Titans vs. Packers

For the seventh consecutive year the Titans and Packers are meeting to close out their

preseason schedules. Prior to 2002, the two teams played in the preseason only two times

-- 1972 and 1973 -- and split those games. Since 2002, the Titans have played the Packers

every year in the final weekend of the preseason. The Titans took a 5-3 all-time lead in the

preseason series with last year’s win at LP Field. The Titans have won five of the six pre-

season games since 2002, including wins in the last two meetings.

In last year’s preseason finale, Titans quarterback Vince Young completed one touch-

down pass and ran for another score in helping the Titans defeat the Packers by a final score

of 30-14. Chris Davis added a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown, and the Titans defense

limited the Packers to 196 total yards. For the Packers, eventual NFC North Champions, it

was their final game with a loss until Week 5 of the regular season.

These same two teams will meet this year in Week 9 of the regular season (Nov. 2) at LP

Field. It will be Green Bay’s second regular season visit to LP Field. The Titans, who hold a 5-

4 all-time advantage in the regular season series, won the previous meeting at LP Field in 2001.

In overall regular season play, the Titans have a 5-4 series advantage. In an unusual

trend, each team has fared better on the road than at home, with the Titans owning a 4-1

record at Lambeau Field and the Packers building a 3-1 record at Houston/Tennessee.

The Titans and Packers last met in the regular season in 2004. A Titans win gave them

a 5-4 lead in the series, and the 2004 Monday Night Football meeting at Lambeau Field was

the second consecutive game the Titans have won against the Packers. Favre threw for

338 yards and tight end Bubba Franks had two touchdown receptions, but the Titans got the

48-27 win. Running back Chris Brown rushed for 148 yards, with touchdown runs of 37 and

29 yards, while Steve McNair passed for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Three Favre in-

terceptions, two of which were picked off by safety Lamont Thompson, and three fumble re-

coveries ensured victory for the Titans.

In Week 5 of the 2004 regular season, the Tennessee Titans used a

Monday night stage to snap a three-game losing streak and defeat the

Green Bay Packers 48-27.

The Titans took control early and never looked back, scoring on their

first three possessions and five of their seven possessions in the first half.

Running back Chris Brown did most of the damage early and had already

run for over 100 yards by halftime.

Brown’s first score occurred on the game’s fifth play from scrimmage. He

took a handoff from quarterback Steve McNair and rushed 37 yards into the

end zone. After a Packers three-and-out, Brown struck again from long dis-

tance, recording a 29-yard touchdown run to help the Titans build a 14-0 lead.

On the ensuing Green Bay possession, the Titans forced the first of six

Packers turnovers when Brad Kassell knocked the ball loose from running

back Ahman Green. Kevin Carter recovered it to set up a 36-yard field

goal from Gary Anderson.

In the second quarter, McNair found fullback Troy Fleming for a 14-

yard touchdown pass to complete a 10-play, 80-yard drive. The Packers re-

sponded with a touchdown pass from quarterback Brett Favre to tight end

Bubba Franks. After an exchange of field goals, the Titans entered halftime

with a 27-13 lead.

In the third quarter, the Titans intercepted Favre on consecutive series.

The latter interception by safety Lamont Thompson -- his second of the

game in addition to a forced fumble -- set up an 11-yard touchdown pass

from McNair to wide receiver Eddie Berlin.

Ahead 34-13 early in the fourth quarter, Titans wide receiver Drew

Bennett received a lateral from McNair and then completed a 26-yard touch-

down pass to Derrick Mason.

Running back Antowain Smith tacked on a 15-yard touchdown run to

provide a record-setting score for Tennessee. The Titans’ total of 48 points

was the most ever scored by an opponent at Lambeau Field.

Brown finished the night with 148 yards on 27 carries and two touch-

downs and became the third running back in NFL history to have four 100-

yard rushing games in his first five career starts. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s

rushing attack was limited to 35 yards.

2007 INDIVIDUAL LEADERS - REGULAR SEASON

� Tight end Alge Crumpler played the Packers four times as a member of the Atlanta Fal-

cons. Included in those games were a 2002 performance (9/8) in which he recorded two

receptions for 12 yards and a touchdown and a 2002 Wild Card victory at Lambeau Field

(1/4/03) in which he recorded one reception for nine yards.

� Cornerback Nick Harper recorded five tackles and one fumble recovery against the Pack-

ers on Sept. 26, 2004 as a member of the Indianapolis Colts.

� Defensive end Jevon Kearse tallied five tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one

pass defensed against the Packers on Dec. 16, 2001.

BIG DAYS vs. PACKERS

For the second consecutive year, the Ti-

tans will open the regular season with a

game against the divisional rival Jacksonville

Jaguars. This year, the Titans host the Kick-

off Weekend tilt, scheduled for a noon start

on Sunday, Sept. 7 at LP Field.

The Titans and Jaguars were the AFC Wild Card representatives in the playoffs last sea-

son, giving the AFC South three total playoff teams including the division-winning Indianapolis

Colts. The Jaguars earned an 11-5 regular season record and the fifth seed in the playoffs,

followed by the sixth-seeded Titans at 10-6. Both teams are vying to unseat the Colts, who

have won the division in each season since 2003. The Titans have fared well in games within

the division the last two seasons, tying the Colts for a division-best mark of 8-4.

In last year’s opener, the Titans held on to a 13-10 victory at Jacksonville Municipal Sta-

dium. The Titans gained 282 rushing yards in the game, recording the second-highest total

in franchise history.

However, in the November rematch in Tennessee, the Jaguars exacted revenge with a

28-13 victory in which they forced three turnovers and out-rushed the Titans by more than 100

yards (166 to 62).

The Titans lead the all-time series with the Jaguars 15-12, including a 1-0 lead in post-

season play.

� Titans defensive backs coach Chuck Cecil was originally drafted by the

Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 1988 NFL Draft. Cecil played

with the Packers until 1992. He played one season with running backs

coach Edgar Bennett and four seasons with asst. offensive line coach

James Campen.

� Green Bay defensive backs coach Robert Nunn was a coach at the Uni-

versity of Tennessee (1989-1990).

� Green Bay defensive coordinator Bob Sanders was asst. defensive co-

In Week 3 of the preseason, The Titans went on the road and lost to the

Atlanta Falcons by a final score of 17-3.

Tennessee’s starters played through the second quarter and had the

score tied at 3-3 at halftime. The Falcons took advantage of Tennessee’s

substitutions at the start of the third quarter and began to take control of the

contest statistically. The Falcons held the ball for more than 36 minutes in

the game and out-gained the Titans 320 yards to 215 yards.

In the first quarter, the Titans received the opening kickoff and quickly

mounted their lone scoring drive of the game. On a third-and-nine from the

Tennessee 18-yard line, quarterback Vince Young found running back

Chris Johnson for a 13-yard pass to extend the drive. Young then com-

pleted consecutive passes of 21 yards to tight end Bo Scaife and 16 yards

to wide receiver Justin Gage. That set up a 50-yard field goal by John

Vaughn to give the Titans an early lead.

The Titans committed their first turnover of the preseason on the final

play of the first quarter. After driving the ball from the Tennessee eight-yard

line to the Atlanta 34 on 10 plays, Vince Young was intercepted on a pass

intended for Brandon Jones by Falcons cornerback Chevis Jackson.

Jackson’s interception set up the game-tying field goal from 49 yards by

Jason Elam.

The remainder of the second quarter featured an exchange of punts by

Tennessee’s Craig Hentrich and Atlanta’s Michael Koenen. When the

quarter was over, the Titans had won the statistical battle in the first half,

gaining 144 yards to the Falcons’ 94 yards, and tallying four more first downs

than the Falcons (10 to six). However, the Titans were unable to capitalize

on the scoreboard despite their relative success.

To begin the third quarter, Atlanta’s starting offense, including rookie

signal caller Matt Ryan, moved the ball 71 yards on nine plays. They scored

on a one-yard touchdown pass from Ryan to wide receiver Harry Douglas.

Ryan then exited the game with the Falcons content with his 15-of-21, 102-

yard performance.

The Falcons extended their lead in the fourth quarter. They took pos-

session of the ball with 11:37 on the clock and used more than eight minutes

to drive 90 yards. Thomas Brown, who carried the ball on the final five

plays of the drive, scored the game’s final touchdown on a nine-yard run.

NOTES FROM LAST WEEK’S GAME

JOHNSON’S FIRST START: Titans rookie running back Chris Johnson

recorded his first start of the preseason. The 24th overall draft choice led the

team with 11 rushing attempts for 35 yards and also caught two passes for

23 yards. He also returned two kickoffs for 57 yards. With one week of pre-

season games remaining (through games of Aug. 24), Johnson ranks fourth

in the NFL in rushing with 158 yards. He trails only Washington’s Marcus

Mason (253 yards), Seattle’s Justin Forsett (194) and Carolina’s DeAngelo

Williams (188).

OPENING DRIVE YIELDS RESULTS: For the first time this preseason, the

Titans opened the game with a scoring drive. They marched 51 yards on 10

plays, setting up kicker John Vaughn with a 50-yard field goal. A key play

on the drive was a 13-yard pass to Chris Johnson on third-and-nine.

FIRST-QUARTER DEFENSE: The Titans have given up a total of three first-

quarter points in their first three preseason games. Against the Falcons,

they did not allow a score until Jason Elam kicked a 49-yard field goal with

12:34 remaining in the second quarter. The only score allowed by the Titans

defense in the first quarter thus far in the preseason was a field goal by the

St. Louis Rams. In 2007, the Titans gave up an average of 4.1 points per

first quarter, which tied for 14th in the NFL.

KEARSE RECORDS SACK: For the first time since rejoining the Titans this

past offseason, defensive end Jevon Kearse recorded a sack. He took

down Matt Ryan for a 10-yard loss in the second quarter. Kearse recorded

47.5 sacks from 1999-2003, good for seventh in franchise history, before

signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004.

STARTERS’ PLAYING TIME: The majority of the starting lineup for the Ti-

tans played the entire first half against the Falcons. At the beginning of the

third quarter, the starters were replaced, including quarterback Vince Young,

who gave way to Kerry Collins at the start of the second half. Ingle Martin

quarterbacked the offense for the final series in the fourth quarter.

OFFENSIVE RANKINGS: The Titans improved their league ranking to third

in total offensive output in the preseason. They are averaging 359.3 yards

per game, trailing only the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints. They

own the league’s second ranked rushing attack with 185.0 yards per game

and have the league’s best average per rushing attempt at 6.1 yards per

carry.

FIRST HALF NUMBERS: At the end of the first half, when Tennessee’s

starters were removed from the game, the Titans had out-gained the Falcons

144 yards to 94 yards. They recorded a 17:01 time of possession in the first

half and had 10 first downs to Atlanta’s six.

TITANS LAUNCH 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The 2008 season marks the franchise’s 10th campaign as the Ten-

nessee Titans. A special logo (right) was commissioned to commemorate

the season and will be worn as a patch on the front shoulder of all Titans

game jerseys during the year. The logo features the Titans’ “fireball” logo

with a “1” in front of it, creating the number 10. The numeral rests above an

outline of the state of Tennessee, which has the years 1999-2008 imprinted

within its borders.

The Titans kicked off their 10th anniversary celebration with the annual

Titans Caravan in April. Throughout the course of the upcoming season,

the theme will be featured prominently in gameday promotions and other

special events.

In 1999, the third season after leaving Houston, the team changed its

name from the Tennessee Oilers to Tennessee Titans and moved into the

69,000-seat LP Field. The season ended with a memorable run to an AFC

crown and a Super Bowl XXXIV appearance.

Aug. 27, 1999: In the first-ever Titans game at LP Field, the Titans

defeat the Atlanta Falcons 17-3 in a preseason contest.

Aug. 28, 2003: In a preseason game at Lambeau Field, the Titans

and Packers wait through a 2 hour and 33 minute delay due to light-

ning. The second quarter was suspended at 8:28 p.m. and resumed

at 11:01 p.m. The teams elect not to have a halftime, helping reduce

the time of game to five hours and 41 minutes. The Titans prevailed

in the game by a final score of 27-3.

� Entering his 14th full season as head coach (with six games in 1994 as interim

2008 SCHEDULE NOTES

The 2008 Titans schedule features home games against Jacksonville (9/7), Houston

(9/21), Minnesota (9/28), Indianapolis (10/27), Green Bay (11/2), New York Jets (11/23),

Cleveland (12/7) and Pittsburgh (12/21). Tennessee will travel to Cincinnati (9/14), Baltimore

(10/5), Kansas City (10/19), Chicago (11/9), Jacksonville (11/16), Detroit (11/27), Houston

(12/14) and Indianapolis (12/28).

Tennessee’s 2008 opponents had a combined record of 139-117 in 2007. The .543 op-

ponent’s winning percentage gives the Titans a share (Detroit Lions) of the ninth most difficult

schedule in the NFL by that measure.

The 2008 schedule promises several other intriguing story lines for the Titans:

� The Titans will host the Jacksonville Jaguars in the season opener on Sept. 7. This is

the second consecutive season in which the Titans and Jaguars will meet on Kickoff Week-

end. The Titans won last year’s matchup in Jacksonville.

� Since 1999, when LP Field opened, the Titans have started the regular season at home

five previous times and have posted a 3-2 record in those contests.

� The Titans will host the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football on Oct. 27. It will

mark Tennessee’s first home primetime game since 2004. The Titans were 2-1 in three

primetime games on the road in 2007.

� Tennessee will make its fifth appearance in a Thanksgiving game in franchise history

when they travel to Detroit to take on the Lions on Nov. 27. The Titans are 4-0 in their previous

“Turkey Day” contests with the most recent win coming at Dallas in 1997. Previous franchise

Thanksgiving games include matchups with Dallas in 1988 and 1979 and one game at Detroit

in 1992. This year’s game in Detroit will also be the franchises first appearance at Ford Field.

� The schedule features four playoff teams in six games: Indianapolis (twice), Jacksonville

(twice), Pittsburgh and Green Bay.

� The Titans will play a regular season game in Chicago for the first time since 1995 and

the first time since Soldier Field was redesigned in 2003.

� The Titans renew their rivalry with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 14. The Bengals and

Titans/Oilers have faced each other 70 times during the regular season, the most of any Ti-

tans opponent.

� Minnesota will play for the first time at LP Field, where opponents are 7-22 in their initial

visit. Only one other team has yet to play at LP Field, the Arizona Cardinals.

FEWEST MILES TO TRAVEL IN 2008

While the 2008 Titans schedule ranks among the 10 most difficult in the NFL in terms

of opponents’ 2007 winning percentage, the Titans are scheduled to have the third-lightest

travel schedule in the NFL this year.

Including the preseason and regular season, the Titans will travel a total of 8,508 miles

to road games in 2008. That trails only the Cleveland Browns (6,416 miles) and Pittsburgh

Steelers (7,288) for the least amont of travel among the 32 NFL clubs. By comparison, Seat-

tle travels the most in 2008, trekking 34,766 miles.

ROSTER REDUCTIONS

The Titans may carry 80 players on their roster at the start of training camp. NFL rules

limit teams to 80 total players on active and reserve lists.

Clubs must trim their active rosters twice prior to the start of the regular season. On Aug.

26, four days after the Titans’ third preseason game at Atlanta, the roster can have a maxi-

mum of 75 active players. On Aug. 30, two days after Tennessee’s fourth and final preseason

game, the NFL will mandate active rosters reach their regular-season limit of 53 players.

Players placed on reserve lists such as Injured Reserve do not count towards the 53-

rushing yards. Running back Quinton Ganther led the team with 115 yards,

followed by Chris Johnson (77), Chris Henry (38), Vince Young (35),

Omar Cuff (33), LenDale White (33) and Ingle Martin (nine).

The team’s 340 rushing yards against the Rams represents the most by

the Titans in the past 10 preseasons. Since 1999, the previous high rushing

RUSHING SINCE 1995

The Titans rushed for 340 yards in the first week of the preseason. They

hope the total represents a continuation of a strong rushing performance in

2007, when they finished fifth in the league with an average of 131.8 rushing

yards per contest.

Running the football has long been a staple of Jeff Fisher clubs. Since

the start of the 1995 season, his first full season as head coach, the Titans

have ranked consistently in the NFL’s Top 10 in rushing yards per game.

They rank seventh in the league in that time period in rushing yards (120.1

per game) and are third in rushing attempts (6,256).

SUCCESS ON THE ROAD

Road wins at Jacksonville, New Orleans, Houston, Kansas City and

Indianapolis gave the Titans a 5-3 record on the road in 2007. It was their

highest win total on the road since accruing a 5-3 record as visitors in 2003.

In 10 of the last 13 seasons (since 1995), the Titans have recorded a

.500 or better record on the road. They won four road games in 2006 after

suffering 3-5 and 1-7 road records the previous two years (2004-05).

The Titans are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the fourth-best road

record in the NFL since the start of the 1995 season, the first full season under

Fisher. Since that time, the franchise has gone on to win 55 out of their 104

OFFENSE

WR Justin McCareins (6-2, 215, 8th Year, Northern Illinois) - The former

2001 fourth-round draft choice returned to the Titans as a free agent

in the offseason. In 2007, his fourth season with the New York Jets,

he totaled 19 receptions for 232 yards.

LT Michael Roos (6-7, 315, 4th Year, Eastern Washington) - Roos has

started every game in his career, including every game at left tackle

since the start of 2006.

LG Eugene Amano (6-3, 310, 5th Year, SE Missouri St.) - Amano is in

his first full season as a starter after serving as a back-up at all three

FB Ahmard Hall (5-10, 242, 3rd Year, Texas) - The former U.S. Marine

and undrafted rookie from Texas has been the team’s starter at full-

team and placed eighth in the AFC with 1,110 rushing yards. He also

his first Pro Bowl after making 35 of 39 field goal attempts in 2007.

LE Jevon Kearse (6-4, 265, 10th Year, Florida) - The team’s seventh

all-time leading sacker was re-signed to the Titans in the offseason

after playing the last four years in Philadelphia. In 2007, Kearse reg-

istered 25 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 14 games with the Eagles.

LT Tony Brown (6-3, 290, 4th Year, Memphis) - Brown completed his

first full season with the Titans in 2007 and posted 83 tackles, four

sacks and 22 quarterback pressures.

RT Albert Haynesworth (6-6, 320, 7th Year, Tennessee) - A first-time

Pro Bowler and All-Pro selection in 2007, Haynesworth registered 69

tackles, a career-high six sacks, 23 quarterback pressures, six tackles

RE Kyle Vanden Bosch (6-4, 278, 8th Year, Nebraska) - The team’s

ninth (tied) all-time leading sacker was named to his second Pro Bowl

in 2007 after tying for sixth in the AFC and 11th in the NFL with 12

LLB David Thornton (6-2, 225, 7th Year, North Carolina) - In 2007, his

second season in Tennessee, Thornton led the team with 140 tackles.

MLB Ryan Fowler (6-3, 250, 5th Year, Duke) - Fowler joined the Titans in

RCB Cortland Finnegan (5-10, 188, 3rd Year, Samford) - In 2007,

Finnegan started every game and tied for third on the squad with 109

SS Chris Hope (6-0, 208, 7th Year, Florida St.) - Now in his third season

with the Titans, Hope is back in the lineup after finishing 2007 on in-

THE 2008 DRAFT CLASS

The Titans welcomed seven new players to the roster during

the 2008 offseason via the NFL Draft. Their top pick was Chris

Johnson, a running back from East Carolina. Johnson, who was

chosen with the 24th overall pick, rushed for 2,982 yards during

his college career and recorded an additional 1,296 receiving

yards. At the NFL Scouting Combine in February, he posted the

fastest 40-yard dash of any prospect with a time of 4.24 seconds.

Additionally, the Titans drafted defensive lineman Jason

Jones (second round), tight end Craig Stevens (third), defensive

end William Hayes (fourth), wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins

(fourth), linebacker Stanford Keglar (fourth) and cornerback Cary

GENERAL MANAGER MIKE REINFELDT

Mike Reinfeldt is in his 28th season in the NFL, second as Titans

Executive Vice President/General Manager and 10th with the Oilers/Ti-

tans franchise. Reinfeldt’s first tenure with the team was from 1976-83

as an All-Pro safety. He re-joined the franchise in 2007, after spending

seven years with the Seattle Seahawks.

Reinfeldt has 22 years of experience as a front office executive and

another nine as an NFL player. In his 16 years as an NFL executive

with Tennessee, Seattle and Green Bay, his teams have won a com-

bined six division titles, made 11 playoff appearances, four NFC Cham-

pionship game appearances, three Super Bowl appearances, captured

one world title (1996) and amassed 13 winning seasons.

In Reinfeldt’s first two years of free agency with the Titans, key players added to the

roster include cornerback Nick Harper, linebacker Ryan Fowler, wide receivers Justin

Gage and Justin McCareins, guard Jake Scott and defensive end Jevon Kearse.

Reinfeldt also has led the team in selecting 17 players in the past two NFL drafts. Safety

Michael Griffin, the Titans’ 2007 first-round selection and Reinfeldt’s first-ever draft pick as

a general manager, had a solid rookie campaign. This year’s first-round pick, running back

Chris Johnson, brings high expectations to diversify the offense.

Reinfeldt also has worked to retain several key players through contract extensions.

Over the last year, Gage, fullback Ahmard Hall, defensive tackle Tony Brown, guard Eu-

gene Amano and tackle Michael Roos each signed long-term deals that add to the stability

of the roster.

Additionally, Reinfeldt helped bring aboard new members of the team’s administration, in-

cluding Senior Director of Football Administration Vincent Marino and Director of Pro Person-

nel Lake Dawson. Each has made significant contributions to the team since arriving in 2007.

In Seattle, Reinfeldt last held the title of Vice President of Football Administration and

was responsible for player contract negotiations, salary cap management, player evaluations

and numerous aspects of the day-to-day football operations. In eight seasons with the Pack-

ers, he served a number of roles, including Chief Financial Officer for three years (1991-93)

and adding the title of VP of Administration from 1994-98. Reinfeldt was instrumental in bring-

ing general manager Ron Wolf to the Packers in 1991. When Mike Holmgren left the Pack-

ers for Seattle, he handpicked Reinfeldt to join him with the Seahawks.

A former safety for the Oilers franchise from 1976-83, Reinfeldt earned Pro Bowl and All-

Pro honors in 1979. He ranks seventh on the club’s career interception list with 26 and

matched the team record for interceptions in a season with 12 in 1979. Reinfeldt started 102

consecutive games as the franchise reached the height of the “Luv Ya Blue” era and the

team advanced to two AFC Championship games. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free

agent out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, originally signing with the Oakland

Raiders and playing in two games before being cut and signed by the Oilers.

Before joining the Packers in 1991, Reinfeldt spent three years (1988-90) at the Univer-

sity of Southern California as the associate athletic director and spent another three years

(1985-88) with the L.A. Raiders as the Chief Financial Officer. He earned an MBA in man-

agement and finance at Houston Baptist University.

Mike McCarthy was named the 14th Head Coach of the Green BayPackers on Jan. 12, 2006 after 13 years as an NFL assistant with the KansasCity Chiefs, Packers, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers.

McCarthy led the Packers to a 13-3 mark in 2007. In doing so, thePackers tied the franchise record for victories in the regular season and wonthe club's first NFC North Division title since 2004. They also captured anNFC playoff bye and advanced to the conference championship game for thefirst time in a decade. McCarthy was named 2007 'NFL Coach of the Year'by Motorola and NFL Alumni. McCarthy also was runner-up in AssociatedPress coach of the year voting.

In 2006, McCarthy directed the Packers to an 8-8 record, which in-cluded a season-ending four-game winning streak, the final three of whichcame against NFC North opponents.

He previously spent six seasons as an offensive coordinator andworked with a group of quarterbacks that included Brett Favre, Joe Mon-tana, Aaron Brooks, Jake Delhomme, Matt Hasselbeck, Marc Bulger,Rich Gannon and Elvis Grbac.

After his playing career as a tight end at Baker University (Kan.) ended,his 19-year coaching career began as a linebackers coach at Fort HaysState (Kan.) in 1987. He cracked the Division I ranks two years later as a vol-unteer assistant at the University of Pittsburgh and later coached quarter-backs and wide receivers there.

McCarthy broke into the NFL as a quality control assistant with theKansas City Chiefs in 1993. It was then he worked with Montana beforemoving up to quarterbacks coach from 1995-98, working with starters Gan-

non, Grbac and Steve Bono. After serving as Green Bay's quarterbacks coach in 1999, he began a

successful five-year stint as the offensive coordinator of the New OrleansSaints. He helped engineer the most prolific offensive era in the team's fourdecades, as the Saints set 10 offensive team records and 25 individualmarks. The Saints led the NFC with 432 points and 49 touchdowns in 2002,both team records.

In 2005, McCarthy became offensive coordinator in San Francisco andworked with No. 1 overall draft pick Alex Smith.

Jeff Fisher is in his 14th full season as Head Coach of the Tennessee

Titans and his ninth as Executive Vice President. Fisher holds the franchise

record for wins by a head coach and is the NFL leader in tenure with one team

among active coaches. He was named interim head coach for the last six

games of the 1994 season and has been in his current post ever since, leading

the team through the transition from its final years in Houston to some of the

club’s greatest successes in Tennessee.

Over the previous nine seasons (1999-07), Fisher guided the franchise

to five playoff appearances (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007) – only five teams

(Indianapolis, New England, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and Seatte) had more

appearances during that time. During his tenure, his accomplishments also

include two Division titles (2000 & 2002), two AFC Championship Games

(1999, 2002) and one Super Bowl berth (XXXIV). He presided over the most

victorious (56 regular season wins and five postseason wins) and successful

five-year period in the franchise’s history from 1999 to 2003.

Fisher’s clubs have found ways to win games, even in the most trying

times. In 2007, he took a team that on average had the youngest starters

in the league (25.81 years) at the beginning of the season and led the squad

to a 10-win season and a playoff berth. It was the fifth time in Fisher’s tenure

he coached the team to 10 or more wins in a playoff season. The team fol-

lowed the path of previously successful Jeff Fisher teams, ranking fifth in

the NFL in rushing offense, fifth in the NFL in yards allowed on defense and

recording a 5-3 mark on the road.

Also in 2007, Fisher became the 27th head coach in NFL history and

the sixth active coach to reach 120 career wins. He surpassed the career

win totals of John Madden (112 career wins), Don Coryell (114) and

George Allen (118) to rank 27th in league annals.

No current NFL head coach has more tenure with his team than Fisher

(14-plus seasons), and only the NBA’s Jerry Sloan (1988-89) and Major

League Baseball’s Bobby Cox (1990) have more tenure among head

coaches/managers in the four major U.S. professional team sports.

A native of Woodland Hills, Calif., the former USC and Chicago Bears

defensive back became the Titans’ 15th head coach on Jan. 5, 1995 follow-

ing his interim role to conclude the 1994 season. His previous coaching jobs

included the defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles (1986-88)

and San Francisco 49ers (1992-93) and the defensive coordinator for the

Eagles (1988-90), Los Angeles Rams (1991) and Oilers (1994).

Titans quarterback Vince Young is in his third sea-

son since being drafted by the Titans with the third over-

all selection in the 2006 NFL Draft. The former Texas

Longhorn has 30 NFL games under his belt and has a

record of 17-11 (.607) in 28 regular season contests as

a starter. His career totals include 739 pass attempts,

422 completions, 4,745 yards and 21 touchdowns. Ad-

ditionally, he has recorded 947 rushing yards and 10

touchdowns on the ground during his career.

As a team captain in 2007, he totaled 238 comple-

tions on 382 attempts, 2,546 passing yards and nine touchdown passes.

He improved his completion percentage from 51.5 as a rookie to 62.3 in

2007. Additionally, he rushed 93 times for 395 yards and three touchdowns.

His rushing yardage total ranked first in the NFL among quarterbacks.

Young’s 9-6 record as a starter in 2007 helped the team garner its first

playoff berth since 2003. In becoming a first-time playoff quarterback, he

achieved a few historic benchmarks. As the ninth different franchise quar-

terback to start a playoff game, he became the youngest of the group at 24

years and 233 days old. Of the 53 NFL quarterbacks drafted in the first

round between 1983 and 2006, Young became just the 11th from the group

to direct his team to the playoffs in his first or second season. He joined

Dan Marino, John Elway, Jim Everett, Drew Bledsoe, Peyton Manning,

Daunte Culpepper, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Ben Roethlisbeger

and Eli Manning. Out of a group of eight first-round quarterbacks selected

In 2006, the 6-foot-5, 233-pound signal caller set virtually every rookie

passing record for the franchise, including passing totals of 2,199 yards and

12 touchdowns. Additionally, he gained 552 yards on the ground, becoming

the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era (1966-present) to rush for 500

yards as a rookie. He scored seven rushing touchdowns, also a first for a

rookie quarterback in the Super Bowl era. His eight wins as a starter marked

the fifth-highest total by a rookie quarterback since 1970 NFL-AFL merger,

and he directed a six-game winning streak that was the third-longest by a

Wide receiver Justin Gage is in his second sea-

son with the Titans and sixth season in the NFL. He

was added to the roster as an unrestricted free agent in

2007 and responded with career-best production.

Gage, who was a fifth-round draft choice in 2003

and spent the first four seasons of his career with the

Chicago Bears, led the Titans in 2007 with a career-

high 750 receiving yards. His 55 receptions also set a

career high and tied with Roydell Williams for the team

lead.

Of Gage’s 55 catches in 2007, 45 of them -- 81.8 percent -- resulted in

first downs. That gave him for the third best percentage in the NFL among

qualifying players (minimum two receptions per team game). He ranked

just behind Terrell Owens (85.2 percent) and Brandon Stokley (85.0) and

Opposite Gage, Justin McCareins looks to

offseason. McCareins, who is in his eighth NFL sea-

son, originally was selected by the Titans in the fourth

Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch is in his fourth

season with the Titans and eighth overall NFL season.

He has started every game since arriving in Tennessee

in 2005.

Voted to his second Pro Bowl in 2007, he ranked

sixth in the AFC with a team-high 12 sacks and added

115 tackles, which ranked second on the team. It was

his third consecutive season with 100 or more tackles.

His statistics also included 24 quarterback pressures,

six tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.

The 2007 season was Vanden Bosch’s third consecutive campaign with

100 or more tackles. His season totals make up three of the team’s top 10

single-season tallies by defensive linemen since 1980. His 2006 total of 118

tackles ranks fourth among franchise defensive linemen since 1980, followed

DT ALBERT HAYNESWORTH

Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth returns in

his seventh NFL season after achieving new heights in

2007.

He was selected to the Pro Bowl and named As-sociated Press All-Pro for the first time in his career

after recording a career high with six sacks and adding

69 tackles, 23 quarterback pressures, six tackles for

loss and three passes defensed in 13 games.

Haynesworth was a key cog in the middle of the

lineup in helping the Titans defense finish fifth overall

and fifth against the run in 2007. In six full seasons, Haynesworth has helped

the Titans defense finish in the league’s top five against the run three times

(2002, 2003, 2007).

The 6-6, 320-pound player was drafted in the first round (15th overall)

of the 2002 NFL Draft.

Vanden Bosch and Kearse have accounted for the team lead in sacks

in seven of the last nine seasons. Since 1999, Kearse’s rookie season, the

only other player besides Kearse and Vanden Bosch to lead the club in sacks

was Kevin Carter, who was first for the team in sacks in 2002 and 2004.

Kearse finished with the team lead in 1999 through 2001 and in 2003. Van-

den Bosch has led the Titans in sacks in each of his three seasons since ar-

LB KEITH BULLUCK

Linebacker Keith Bulluck, the franchise’s third all-

time leading tackler, is in his ninth NFL season. He has

started every game for six consecutive seasons and

has surpassed 100 tackles in each of those seasons,

including 2007. Originally a first-round choice in the

2000 NFL Draft, he is the third player in team history to

reach 1,000 career tackles.

Bulluck’s 2007 statistics included 109 tackles and a

team-high five interceptions, which represented a new

career high and set a record for franchise linebackers.

His five interceptions also tied for ninth in the NFL and tied for sixth in the AFC.

Among linebackers, he was tied with Chicago’s Brian Urlacher for second

in the NFL, trailing only Oakland’s Thomas Howard (six) for the league lead.

DE JEVON KEARSE

Defensive end Jevon Kearse was re-signed by

the Titans in March, re-uniting the three-time Pro Bowler

with the club that drafted him in 1999. A veteran of nine

previous NFL seasons, the former first-round draft

choice spent the past four years in Philadelphia after

beginning his career with the Titans.

Kearse, who earned the nickname “The Freak” at

the University of Florida, led his team in sacks in six of

his first seven NFL seasons. In Kearse’s original

tenure with the Titans (1999-03), he registered a total of

47.5 sacks, a figure that ranks seventh in team history. He won the Associ-

ated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Award in 1999 after setting a

rookie record with 14.5 sacks.

Kearse signed in Philadelphia as an unrestricted free agent in 2004. In

45 regular season games with the Eagles, he totaled 133 tackles and 22

sacks. In his first season there, his arrival helped solidify the Eagles de-

fense, and the team advanced to Super Bowl XXXIX.

Left outside linebacker David Thornton is in his

seventh NFL season and third season with the Titans.

In 2007, he started all 16 games and led the club

with 140 tackles. The tackle total was the second high-

est of his career. He added a team-high nine tackles for

loss, one sack, one quarterback pressure, seven passes

defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

The former fourth-round draft choice out of North

Carolina played four seasons in Indianapolis before join-

ing the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in 2006.

In the Aug. 9 preseason match-up with the Rams, linebacker Keith Bul-

luck scored the game’s first touchdown on a 13-yard interception return.

The touchdown against the Rams was the third preseason touchdown

of Bulluck’s career. He previously scored on interception returns in 2004

against the Green Bay Packers (9/3) and in 2005 against the Tampa Bay

Buccaneers (8/12).

BULLUCK’S NOSE FOR THE END ZONE

Strong safety Chris Hope is in his seventh NFL

season and third season with the Titans. He returns in

2008 after finishing the 2007 season on injured reserve

with a neck injury.

A former third-round draft choice with the Pitts-

burgh Steelers, Hope has been widely considered the

leader of the Titans secondary since signing as an un-

restricted free agent in 2006.

Prior to his season-ending injury in 2007, he

recorded 60 tackles and added two quarterback pres-

sures, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, four passes defensed and one

fumble recovery.

In his first season with the Titans in 2006, he arguably had one of the

best seasons in franchise history by a strong safety and one of the best sea-

sons among all NFL strong safeties in his first season in Tennessee. His 128

tackles ranked first among the league’s starting strong safeties, and his five

interceptions tied three other players for first place among strong safeties.

His tackle total was the most by a Titans safety since Bo Eason recorded

131 stops in 1985, and Hope’s five interceptions were the most by a Titans

safety since Lance Schulters’ six in 2002.

Punter Craig Hentrich is in his 15th NFL season

and 11th with the Titans. During his career, the two-

time Pro Bowler has punted more times than any other

player in team history, and his punting average ranks

second in club history behind only Greg Montgomery.

In addition to being the franchise’s all-time punting

leader, Hentrich ranks 14th in NFL history in career

punts. With 1,054 punts, he is just 30 punts shy of

achieving a spot in the Top 10 (John James, 1,083 ca-

reer punts). Among active punters, Hentrich ranks sec-

ond in career punts. Only Jeff Feagles of the New York Giants has more.

Hentrich throughout his career has been regarded as one of the

league’s best in producing a high net punting average. In the 32 years the

statistic has been tracked (since 1976), Hentrich is currently in eighth place

Hope leads a talented secondary that is just entering its second season

as a foursome. The group includes Hope at strong safety, Michael Griffin

at free safety, Nick Harper at left cornerback and Cortland Finnegan at

right cornerback. Vincent Fuller is the incumbent nickel defensive back.

Griffin, the team’s 2007 first-round pick from the University of Texas,

stepped into the starting lineup midway through his rookie season. He to-

taled 49 tackles, three interceptions, eight passes defensed, one forced fum-

ble, a team-high 16 stops on special teams and 18 kickoff returns for 422

yards.

Harper, the senior-most member of the starting secondary, is entering

his eighth NFL season and second with the Titans since arriving from the In-

dianapolis Colts as an unrestricted free agent in 2007. In his first season

with the Titans, Harper recorded 80 tackles, three interceptions, 14 passes

defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Finnegan, a former seventh-round draft choice from Samford, is in his

third year and second as a starter. In 2007, he started every game and tied

for third on the squad with 109 tackles. He added one interception, one

sack, three tackles for loss and a team-high 16 passes defensed.

Kicker Rob Bironas currently is tied with former Oilers kicker Skip But-ler for seventh place on the franchise’s all-time scoring list.

FRANCHISE CAREER LEADING SCORERS

Kicker Rob Bironas, who is in his fourth NFL sea-

son, elevated his career to new heights in 2007 and po-

sitioned his name among some of the franchise’s all-time

great kickers.

The 2007 Pro Bowl and Associated Press All-Pro

selection moved into a tie for seventh place (Skip But-

ler) on the team’s all-time scoring list. He holds fran-

chise records for most field goals in a game (eight, also

a NFL record), most consecutive games with at least

one field goal (19) and longest field goal (60 yards on

Dec. 3, 2006).

Also one of the NFL’s best kickoff specialists, he ranked sixth in the

league over his first three seasons with 37 total touchbacks.

Bironas’ 2007 campaign arguably was the second-finest season ever

by a Titans kicker, behind only Al Del Greco’s 1998 campaign. Bironas fin-

ished second in team annals behind Del Greco’s 1998 effort in scoring (133

to 136), made field goals (35 to 36) and field goal accuracy (89.7 percent to

92.3 percent). He led the NFL in field goals and was fourth in the league in

scoring, third among kickers. On Oct. 21, 2007, Bironas set a new NFL

record with eight field goals in a game at Houston.

Over his three-year career Bironas has made six game-winning field

goals, a total that ranks second in club annals behind Del Greco (10).

The former Arena Football League kicker and part-time security guard

originally signed in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers as a free agent in

2002.
