The OERB Welcomes Two New Employees to its Staff

OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 11, 2014 –The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board is pleased to announce the hire of two new employees to its staff. Liz Caldwell was selected as the new environmental coordinator, and Morgan Wolber was selected as the new education coordinator.

As environmental coordinator, Caldwell will support the environmental director in identifying potential oilfield sites for restoration, and help determine surface ownership. She will be a liaison with landowners, construction and environmental contractors, while also marketing the OERB’s environmental restoration program to the public.

"The OERB is an exceptional organization that is making a difference for Oklahomans," Caldwell said. "I'm excited about the opportunity to work with landowners and restore land in Oklahoma.”

Caldwell was previously employed at Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma as a communications specialist. There she executed marketing and brand strategies, served as the primary contact and administrator for social media and created strategies and communications tools to increase developmental efforts. As education coordinator, Wolber will support the education director and work directly with Oklahoma teachers to implement the OERB’s education programs. She will maintain the website, coordinate presentations for the OERB’s Petro Pros program and assist in coordinating events.

“What I most look forward to about working with the OERB is being an integral part of their dedication to excellence in educating Oklahoma students across the state,” said Wolber.

Wolber came to the OERB from the University of Oklahoma, where she was the assistant director of Prospective Student Services. There she helped to recruit prospective high school students through events, presentations and visits.

“We are happy to have both Liz and Morgan join the OERB,” said Mindy Stitt, executive director of the OERB. “Both are filling important support positions within our team, and their experience and enthusiasm will serve the OERB and its constituents well.”

Caldwell holds a Master of International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Wolber holds a Master of Adult and Higher Education, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations, both from OU.

Created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1993, the OERB is funded voluntarily by oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners through a one-tenth of 1 percent assessment on the sale of oil and natural gas. The OERB’s purpose is to conduct environmental restoration of orphaned and abandoned well sites and to educate Oklahomans about energy. For more information visit OERB.com.
