Marci Rosenblum founded Tricomm Creative in 1991 after having previously worked in the

journalism and public relations fields. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the

University of Florida College of Journalism and Mass Communications (Go Gators!) — one of the

highest ranked journalism schools in the country. She has years of experience as a newspaper

reporter and as a press director for several New York State Senators. During her time in the State

Legislature, Marci realized that many politicians’ campaign materials were ineffective and not

sending a strong message. That was when she formed Tricomm Creative, Inc. and became heavily

involved in writing and graphic design for political campaigns. Labor Union presidents, many of

whom are also involved with campaigns, noticed her work and turned to Tricomm Creative for high

quality writing and design targeted to their unique memberships. After all, if the design is boring,

the message won’t be read. The circle continued as her work was noticed by a multitude of

businesses working with labor unions, who in turn also hired Tricomm Creative. Marci serves as the

point person with all clients, formulating a plan of action based on individual needs.

New York’s largest local of the Communications Workers of America, Local 1180, was in need of a total redo of their quarterly publication, The Communique. In order to more effectively disseminate their material in today’s age of “information overload,” RWD Group turned their two-color, large-scale newsletter into a more attractive magazine-style publication with full-color photos and appropriate use of negative space that draws readers into the articles. By correctly implementing rules of graphic design, we created a highly sophisticated look that far exceeded the expectations of Local 1180’s leadership. Not only were they excited by the new design, RWD Group was able to print their new full-color newsletter at half the price of their former two-color publication, thereby saving the union thousands of dollars.

Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Periodic newsletter circulated both internally and externally to stake holders

Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai RWD Group was given the challenging task of designing a newsletter that followed extremely specific branding guidelines and color schemes for the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health at Mount Sinai Hospital. We wanted to ensure the newsletter’s homogeneity, while still creating a design for the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine that was wholly unique from other newsletters produced by the Mount Sinai Health System itself.

IUOE Local 30 Quarterly newsletter ranging in size from 12-20 pages. Services include both writing and design.

Bolton St. Johns, Inc. Bolton-St. Johns – one of the premier lobbying firms in the country – hired RWD Group to write and design their new company brochure. For this project, we began by interviewing the firm’s principals in order to develop the content. Strong colors were selected to reflect the caliber of services offered and the firm’s status within the legislative field arena. The overall sleek design incorporated powerful images and clean, straightforward text utilizing a bullet format. The design for this brochure then became the basis for their updated website design.

Union Benefit Planners (UBP)

Union Benefit Planners (UBP) Union Benefit Planners, Inc., a consultant specializing in benefit plans for the labor movement, needed a way to make a dramatic impact within a population overly saturated with vendors. In order to stand out within the labor union market, RWD Group designed an off-size brochure that stands out in a crowd. We achieved success by utilizing bold colors and striking graphics that correspond to the content on the facing pages.

Healthplex Brochure used as a marketing tool in the dental insurance sector, promoting services to both potential and existing clients. Services provided include text preparation, design, and custom photography.

Healthplex Healthplex needed an updated company brochure to use as a marketing tool in the dental insurance sector, promoting their services to both potential and existing clients. RWD Group captured the look the client was seeking by using oversized photos, many of which we took ourselves, of healthy, vibrant, smiling people of all ages. The format of the brochure and the size of the photos served to offset the large amount of text the client needed to accurately describe their products and services.

In any political campaign, Get Out the Vote mailers are one of the final to hit constituent mailboxes prior to Election Day. Therefore, they must really make an impact at a time when mail overload is so common. RWD Group-designed GOTV pieces make an impact on voters.

Jeff Toback, Nassau County Legislator Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback’s final piece to hit mailboxes before Election Day was his Get Out the Vote (GOTV) targeted mailing. Not only did RWD Group create the concept, but had the piece printed and mailed to ensure delivery the Monday immediately before Election Day.

Rob Rolison, Dutchess County Legislator Dutchess County (New York) Republican County Chairman and Legislator Rob Rolison was in a tough re-election battle when RWD Group created this mailing that had Rolison talk about the recent death of his father. In contrast to other hard-core political mailers, this one was 100 percent personal and highlighted the warmth and character of a family with longstanding roots in the county and in government. Rolison’s numbers skyrocketed after this mailer hit the district, securing his re-election.

9/11 World Trade Center Health Program Designing with flowers? Now that was a first for RWD Group. World Trade Center representatives attended a memorial ceremony marking the 9/11 anniversary and wanted a floral wreath that would be displayed at the event. But not just any floral arrangement would do. RWD Group created a concept on paper that we then sent to a floral company who turned our design into a flower arrangement.

Central Park Medical Unit Central Park Medical Unit, the ambulance company servicing New York City’s Central Park, sends out an annual holiday email blast to its friends and supporters. RWD Group wanted to be sure their email blast stood out amongst the massive influx of emails people receive during the holiday season, which was achieved by animating the card.

Communications Workers of America Local 1180 Communications Workers of America Local 1180 each year sends out a printed holiday card, but in 2015 also opted for the digital route. Having more than 7,000 member email addresses in its database, the union was able to reach a large percentage of its membership via email with its animated holiday message.

Yet, the Department did not have any marketing materials specific to this field of medicine.
