We are looking for a few good men and women who could help with some im-portant tasks on our campus. We need help with:
Cleaning windows, Landscape projects, Clean tables and chairs, Dusting for cob webs and
Organizing several storage rooms

CDs and DVDs of our ser-vices can be ordered at the Information Desk in
the Worship Lobby. Pick up a Sermon CD/DVD Order Envelope. Fill it out completely and include your contact information along with the Sermon Date, whether you want a CD or DVD, the Speaker or Title. Please enclose payment with your order and place this envelope into the drop box in the wall behind the Information Desk. Free sermons by Pastor Roger and the other FBC Pastors are available on the FBC webpage at www.fbc-tempe.org.
We have added some great new books and movies to the FBC Library. The mov-ies include “War Room,” “Captive” and “Woodlawn.” You are able to take two movies at a time for one week.
Also, there are new books by your favor-ite authors.
As always, we do accept donations but it is a good idea to talk to the Librarians first to make sure we can utilize your donations before you bring anything in.

Skylight Café Needs Workers
Skylight Café will be closed for the month of July!
If you are looking for a way to get connected and serve the body we have a great opportunity for you. We need
helpers willing to work for an hour or two a week with serving and/or clean-up. We also need leaders who are willing to be trained to run the Café for a month at a time. This is a great way to serve and get to know a lot of people within the church. The job comes with a sweet benefits package! Women’s Ministries
Summer Book Study Continues on Thursday nights at 6:30 pm, June 2-July 5.
Join us for Girls Night Out: Friday, July 8, at 6:30 pm. We will meet at the Culinary Dropout on Farmers Street in Tempe for dinner and live music. Please sign-up by stopping by the Women’s Ministry Table or email Kim at [email protected] so we can put your name on the reservation list.
Save the Date: Saturday, August 6, at 7:00 pm. Worship Night/Bible Study Kick-Off for the fall.

FBC Blesses Pastor Roger and Dianna
To protect the FBC pastors from burnout, every 3 ½ years our full-time pastors are encouraged to take a one-month retreat
away from ministry.
Every 7 years the full-time pastors are blessed with the opportunity for a three-month sabbatical rest from ministry.
Pray for Pastor Roger and Dianna as they will be absent from FBC to enjoy a one-month retreat from June 15 to July 20.

Men’s Ministry
Men’s Breakfast – Saturday, July 9
Men’s Annual Camping and Fishing Trip: July 15-17 at Canyon Point. The cost is $35.00 per
person. The deadline for registration is June 26. Enjoy a steak dinner on Saturday Night! Our speakers will be Pastor Mark Ward and Dr. Perry Hill. For more details and information contact Jim Strouse or Larry Bottolfson.
Men’s Ministry Bible Study “Believe” will meet every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm beginning on Wednesday, July 20, and every other Saturday at 7:00 am beginning on Saturday, July 23. This Bible study will be led by Perry Hill.

Weekly College and Career Events and Opportunities
“The Bridge” is a group of college students and young adults (ages 18-30) working together to enhance the Kingdom of God through Bible studies, serving the community and fellowship. “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”

Current Series – “Old School” The Old Testament is the inspired word of God and the words contained in it were the only Scripture that was available at the time of Jesus. We are going through the Old Testament to learn about God and how He worked through the events of the Old Testament to bring about the salvation that is found in Jesus.

Hospitality Room
A big “Thank You” to all the people who bought, prepared and served in the Hospitality Room! You did a great job of welcoming everyone to FBC. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you know someone who served, please thank them. They sacrifice time
and money! The Hospitality Room will be closed this summer. If you would like to be added to the Hospitality Team and serve once a semester, please contact Dianna Ball at [email protected].
Also, thank you for donating enough stuffed animals for kids at the Christmas Eve Service. We do not need any more animals. Thank you!

Mali, Africa supporting Tom and Laura Requadt. Train local men and women in your specific profession or trade – 12-14 full days. Approximate cost is $3,000 to $3,200 per person. No construction costs. Limited to 5-6 people due to travel.
Panama-Costa Rica supporting Luis Matute. Construct fencing, sport courts and help progress on young women’s center / hostel – 9-10 days. Approximate cost per person $2,000. Total construction costs to be raised by the group is about $2,000. No limit to number of people. Arrival of Jeff Savage and His Family

Choir and Orchestra Legacy CD
The FBC Choir and Orchestra presented a concert here at FBC as a means to promote the sale of their “Legacy CD.” These would make perfect gifts for someone on your list. All
of the monies raised from the sale of this CD go toward the Legacy Project and will be triple matched. See Pastor Phillip Shepherd to purchase copies of this great presentation. The cost is $15.00.
Music Lessons
Lauri Wieland is offering music lessons in piano, voice and guitar. The fees for these lessons will benefit the Legacy Project for the upcoming 12 months. For more information please call 480-283-5964.
Cancer Prayer Group, Sunday, July 10
Have you been told you have cancer? Not something anyone wants to hear but unfortunately we are all hearing this all too often! Going thru cancer treatment is not something that FBC wants you to do alone. We have established a “Cancer Prayer Meeting” that will meet on the second Sunday of each month from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in Room 523. If you would like, quickly grab some lunch and join us so we can pray for/with you and others with cancer. We will pray Scripture over you and offer our love and support. Back in October 2014, you voted 99 percent “Yes” to see if God wanted our church to build a new Worship Center, new Music Center and a new Kid City. And on
Sunday, March 29, you approved by a 98 percent vote to go forward with the Design Phase of the Legacy Project.
To help show us God’s will, God has moved one family in our church who loves God and this church to offer everyone a “matching” opportunity. In order to reach this “matching” opportunity of $4,020,000.00, we need to receive gifts from individuals and families of $1,340,000.00.
This family will donate three dollars for every one dollar you give to the Legacy Project. They are willing to earmark up to $4 million over a 19-month period starting in April 2015.
When you donate $1.00 they will donate $3.00. If you donate $100.00 they will give $300.00. If you give $1,000.00 they will give $3,000.00. If you give $50,000.00 they will give $150,000.00.
