inclusive family of
applications for AutoCAD®
and BricsCAD®, specific
for industrial plant design of
competitive cost and high efficiency.
The various ESApro suites, all perfectly
integrated, support the team in all stages
of the project from the process engineering
to the 3D modeling of the plant, to the fluid
dynamics and structural analysis.
It can be used in chemical, petrolchemical,
pharmaceutical, food, steel, energy, water treatment,
paper and naval industries, of whatever dimensions,
from the small size skid to the large refinery.
ESAin is constantly very committed to the realization of

Drawing of isometrics from
scratch
In manual mode ESApro
Isometrics allows the drawing
of isometrics from scratch.
The drawing can be easily
and accurately performed
just picking up the isometric
symbols from the library under
constant control of the piping
spec and placing them on the
drawing.
As soon as the drawing is
finished and the dimensions
inserted, the program generates
the various lists as tables
on the drawing. Thanks to
a high level of automation,
graphics of excellent quality,
the many options of editing
and customization of the
graphic environment and the

Isometrics defines the ultimate
standard within the software
for the realization of isometric
drawings.
ESApro PLANT DESIGN
ESApro Head Loss calculates the
amount of pressure loss along
a line applying the “Ashrae
Handbook Fundamentals”
algorithms. The user only needs
to indicate the fluid path and
direction: then set the pressure,
the flow rate and the fluid
characteristics.

ESApro Spool enhances
the capabilities of ESApro
Isometrics:
• automatic identification of the
spools within the sketches
of the whole line (design
isometrics)
• generation of material lists
subdivided by spool
• automatic generation of a
spool drawing, complete with
dimensions and material lists. ESApro 2D Piping is a very
effective tool for the drawing of
the plant orthographic views.
Even the user with a limited
knowledge of AutoCAD® will
be operative in no time: he just
needs to define the piping class
and the ND and then make use
of the intuitive commands of the
program such as:
• automatic dressing of the line
with pipes and elbows
• parametric generation of the
plant components in each
size and in all views
• Insertion of components with
automatic alignment and
cutting of pipes
• MTO draft.
ESApro MTO allows to draw up
a material estimate in advance,
prior to the development of the
detail engineering. It guides
the manual data entry of the
components by filtering data
through the piping spec and
automatically generates the bill
of materials. ESApro MTO can
be used alongside with ESApro
P&ID in order to provide the
complete list of piping materials
starting from the diagram.
Flanges, fittings, nuts and bolts,
branch components and reducers
can be automatically inferred by
the piping class, the user has only
to insert the pipe lengths and the
quantity of elbows.
ESApro Supports is dedicated
to the 3D design of the supports
of the pipelines created with
ESApro 3D Piping or even other
plant design software.
The package includes a vast
library of parametric parts
ESApro ELECTRICAL DESIGN
Plant Design Suite, allows
to complete the model with
support structures such as
racks, basements, stairways,
walkways.
Interference detection
The program checks out if the
raceways collide each other
or with pipe lines, machinery,
structures and in general
whatever 3D entity present in
the model.
Automatic orthographic views

view tool, very versatile and
rich in details, is one of the
strong points of ESApro. The
views are automatically updated
whenever modifications are
made to the model.
Material lists
The program automatically
generates the material lists in
Excel and TXT formats.
Once positioned the electrical
utilities into the model and set
the cable list, ESApro Cable
Routing performs the automatic
routing of the cables, identifing
the shortest path in compliance
with the various constraints
(sections filling, compatibility
with other cables).
Anyway the routing proposed
by the program can be forced
by the user in case of specific
situations. If the 3D model of
the raceways made with ESApro
Cable Trays is not available, the
net geometry (sections with
related length and connections
between the various sections)
can be either described with
manual data entry or imported
through an Excel file. Thereafter
the program works in the same
manner as described above.
The Electrical Design Suite is dedicated to electrical design of the plant
ESApro Cable Trays is dedicated
to the tridimensional modeling
of the primary and secondary
electrical raceways: alongside
the other ESApro modules it
allows to create the complete
multidisciplinary model of the
plant.
Specification controlled design
The program relies on the
SQL data base, containing
the dimensional catalogue of
the cable trays components,
through which the user is
guided and controlled while
modeling the raceways net.
