When we started the Global Bhatia Foundation with the idea of providing a platform to Bhatias across the globe to unite, engage and interact - we had no idea about how successful our endeavour would become. This was evident through the level of success of the National Conference held on March 3, 2013 at Gowalia Tank in Mumbai. We look forward to not only increasing our membership but also make the Foundation relevant to the younger generation of Bhatias.

As our children increasingly compete in a global environment – it is vital that they are afforded every chance of getting a good education which prepares them for the future. This is why the Global Bhatia Foundation should start a fund which offers Bhatia children the opportunity to pursue their educational goals either in India or overseas through loans on generous terms and/or stipends - for it is education which will help breed the next generation of Bhatia entrepreneurs.

I look forward to the exciting future of this foundation as it continues to work for the benefit of our community.

Dear Readers,

Your editorial team was bogged down with the preparations of National Conference and the February issue slipped out from our hands. Hence, we've clubbed it with the March issue covering all the GBF events viz. Kamangiri Book Release, First AGM,Medical Camp, Indoor sports, Parichay Milan and National Conference.

GBF Family is increasing and we are at a threshold to gear up for servicing Global Bhatias. You'll notice that this issue has a global flavour.

The theme of our National Conference "United we progress, prosper and share" has been well received. Live webcast of the National Conference has generated a strong communication link between GBF and our community members.
