This operation disturbs 440.33 surface acres. The proposed operation is approximately 1.2 miles west from Route 89’s junction with Route 1840 and located along the Kentucky River. The operation is located on the Panola and Irvine 7 1/2 minute USGS quadrangle maps. The operation will use the refuse recovery method of mining methods. The surface area is owned by Foxtrot Properties LLC and Estill County Industrial Development Authority.The application has been filed for inspection at the Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement, London Regional Office, 1804 East Cumberland Avenue, Middlesboro, KY, 40965-1229.
