LOCATIONThe property is located on the eastern side of Bournemouth town centre facing the south side of Hinton Road, a short distance from the Lower Pleasure Gardens and seafront. Main town centre shopping and leisure facilities are located within a short walking distance. The property benefits from close proximity to the 315 space Central Car Park.

DESCRIPTIONThe property comprises a multi floor theatre building which was purpose built by a theatre company in the 1930s. The property has a rich history, having previously been known as the Playhouse Theatre and Palace Court Theatre. The building was converted to a place of worship in the late 1980s, but retains many of its original features.

The ground floor comprises a glazed entrance foyer providing access to the main auditorium. Staircases at either side of the foyer provide access to the upper and lower floors. The main auditorium has fixed seating for approximately 220 people together with the original large raised stage area and a smaller lower stage over the former orchestra pit. A ‘backstage’ area provides additional ancillary space and features the original pulleys for stage rigging.

The main auditorium has a balcony above with fixed seating for approximately 220 people. At the upper balcony level there is a passage with toilets off and a former projection room with ladder access.

Below the upper balcony is a mezzanine floor arranged as a large lounge/office/meeting room with built in kitchenette and two separate offices leading off.

The lower ground floor comprises the original green room which was subsequently occupied by the former Galaxy Cinema. The accommodation comprises a large open plan area with a small stage. There is a kitchen servery at one end along with separate male and female toilets. A children’s activity room is located to the rear along with office space, store rooms and a shower room/WC.

There is a lower mezzanine floor arranged as a lounge area with two rooms adjacent, together with a store room, ladies WC and disabled toilet. There is a part boarded loft storage area with access from a fixed ladder.
