High speed in high rises The KONE MiniSpace™ saves space, saves energy and provides passengers with a smooth, comfortable ride. The machine room for the KONE MiniSpace™ is the same size as the shaft - it needs just 40% of the space compared with a conventional traction elevator, so it saves costs and maximizes the rentable space in the offi ce building. The gearless KONE MiniSpace™, powered by the KONE EcoDisc™, provides smooth acceleration and smooth, accurate stopping. KONE MiniSpace™ solutions have been developed for high-speed applications in high-rise buildings.

Boosting constructionInnovations like the KONE JumpLift™, which rises at the same pace as the construction of the building, can save the time needed for the building process compared with a conventional exterior hoist.

Double capacity in one shaftIn high-rise buildings the requirements for people fl ow are immense. With a unique combination of double-deck capacity and destination control, KONE can dramatically increase the traffi c performance. KONE double-decker elevators consist of two elevator cars on top of each other in the same hoist-way, creating signifi cant space savings and increasing traffi c handling capacity.

Elevators and escalators account for 2-10% of a building’s entire energy consumption.
