January 3rd-7th & January 10th-14th

Join with us each night at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary for a time

of unified prayer. This is the perfect opportunity to begin this

new year getting closer to God. There is power in prayer and

strength in numbers, so let’s all get involved.

There will be classes each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for the

Generation J group (ages 3-10).

For many it’s the opportunity that they have been waiting for, the chance to begin again.

Nobody will question their motives,

wonder about their desires or challenge their passion. They like everyone else have set a New Year’s Resolution.

It’s not so much what the resolution is, but rather the resolve that we have to follow through.

The formula for success is to first, “Get on your Mark”. You must see the finish line, the goal that you desire to reach,

the mark that will determine your success. Next you, “Get Set”.

You map your plan, you prepare yourself for the journey, you set your course. Finally you, “GO”.

Never let idleness define who you are. Get Up and Go!! Stopping is not an option. Get Up and Go!! Slowing down only gives the

opposition a chance to catch up with you. Get Up and GO!!

WOW, what a great time we had in 2010!! We are geared up for 2011 and looking forward to many great things.

There WILL BE classes the first two Wednesday Nights of January for children ages 3-10. Class will start at 7pm (the same time that prayer starts) and will last for

approximately an hour.

The first Generation J-Day of 2011 will be Saturday, February 26th. More details will be in next month's newsletter!

We will be learning all about the Parables that Jesus taught on Sunday Mornings for the next 3 months. Be sure to ask your kids after church what they learned about

to help reinforce their learning!

As always, you can get updates on event times and other current information by checking out the bulletin board downstairs, the church web site or our Facebook page.

There are DVD’s from the Generation J Christmas program available. You can stop by the sound booth and order your copy, they are $5.00 each.

We will be giving out HOMEWORK PACKETS for the children to work on throughout the week in

order to earn prizes.

Family Life Center

over the past

4 years.

project.

Sacrificial Offering

The Bridge Builders group is for boys ages 8-12 and

meets the second Saturday of each month.

Our next meeting date is scheduled for January 8, 2011. The meeting typically consists of prayer, exercise, Bible lesson, meal and activity. The activity for the month of December was making

Christmas ornaments. The goal of Bridge Builders is to have our boys develop mentoring relationship with men of God. This will provide the boys with sources to seek wise counsel

and Godly wisdom as they mature through adolescence. Remember that it is easier to build boys than mend men.

This past year was a great year for the J Crew youth of CLC. We had some great times

at Mid-Winter Youth Retreat, Ohio District Camp, Back-To-School Rally,

National Youth Convention and all the youth events throughout the year.

Thank you to all the CLC family for your financial support through our fundraisers.

You are what made it possible for many of the youth to be able to attend these events. We are very excited

for all our new members who came this past year. 2011 is going to be an even better year.

We will be going snow tubing on Saturday, January 15th. I would like to encourage all of our youth to

plan on going. It will be a great kick-off to an exciting year.

Sis. Kristy and I would like to say a special “Thank You” to all the

parents of our youth, we have a great group of young people and

it is all because of you.

We appreciate your support and your sacrifice to see that

your kids make it to these events. Were looking forward to

working with you in 2011.

It’s hard to believe that the month of December is

over already! This past month we enjoyed a great

Christmas party. Thank you to everyone that came. We will have our

first class of the year on Sunday, January 2nd. The books that we ordered are

in and we will begin reading and having lessons about it on January 9th.

We are looking forward to an awesome year! If you are between the ages

of 20 & 30 years old, single or married, we invite you to join us every Sunday

The HMS Resolute was abandoned in the arctic in the 1800's and rescued and restored in the 1900's and given as a gift to the British.

Once decommissioned two desks were made of its timber and one is still used in the Oval office. As resolved documents come across its mahogany wood to be signed into law think of

all the things it has been a part of since Rutherford B. Hayes. More importantly as we move into 2011 there was once a cross,

joined at the middle and there the greatest resolution signed, sealed, and delivered was made. It was God's resolve to save you from your sins.

If its timber could speak what might it say? Would it tell of the souls its seen come stand where it once stood?

Would it tell of the blood stained upon its rough texture? What might it speak to your life since God’s resolution to redeem you and I!

forward to many fellowship opportunities in 2011.
