Fraud & Investigations
There has been a growing awareness of the
risks and incidence of fraud in private and
public sector organisations throughout
Ireland. Where fraud has been detected and
the organisation are seeking redress in the
courts it is important that they use a firm of
forensic accountants who understand the
principles of evidence gathering and
discovery to ensure that their case is as
robust as possible.
Financial institutions such as banks and
leasing companies engage forensic
accountants to assist with asset recovery
and insolvency cases. In addition there are
a number of government agencies such as
Revenue Commissioners, Financial Regulator,
Competition Authority and the Office of the
Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE)
who actively investigate instances where
fraud is suspected.
Our services in this area include
the following;
• Investigation of suspected or
known fraud

Initial Consultation
In many cases forensic accountants are
sought at a late stage in proceedings. In our
experience the early involvement of forensic
accountant can have an impact on the
direction and outcome of a case, particularly
during discovery. On occasions you may
require clarification regarding the feasibility
of the specific services you require. We are
available to provide a no cost initial
consultation to review the matter with
you and explore the areas we can be
of assistance.
We are well aware of the pressures of
litigation and the essential needs of court
imposed deadlines. Beyond that, we also
appreciate the ultimate client’s expectations.
We are aware of the fluid nature of cases,
and will ensure that the instructing legal
team are kept fully informed, and therefore
in control, of the work we have done and
