Last Saturday, the sun shone brightly and the leaves rustled in the gentle breeze giving the evening a peaceful atmosphere as I walked out of my house. I had spent the whole afternoon copped up in my room studying for the upcoming exams until my mother had to force me out of the house to get some fresh air. I walked around aimlessly until I reached the neighbourhood playground and sat on a bench there taking in the fresh air. But soon my peace and quiet was disturbed by children screaming and laughing merrily. I looked around and saw that many children were playing in the playground happily. At the corner of the playground I saw my friends Shawn and Luke playing with some of the children and I decided to join them and soon enough we were playing soccer together. As I was playing with my friends happily suddenly I heard a loud cry of a boy. I looked around and saw a boy crying in pain as he hugged his right foot to his chest. As fast as lightning, my friends and I ran towards the boy to help him and saw that his right leg was bleeding heavily and the wound looked deep. I asked what had happened but instead of the boy answering me, Mr.Tan who was standing there near his car in front of the boy told me that he had grazed the boy lightly with his car causing the boy to fall down and hurt himself.

I took out my handkerchief and tied it tightly near the wound to stop the bleeding as Mr Tan instructed us to carrying in his car to bring him to the hospital.        By the time we reached the nearest hospital the boy looked pale and out of energy and we could only hope that his injury was not infected. The doctors and nurses rushed him towards the emergency ward to be treated. After an hour, the doctors came out and told us that the boy was fine. We were very happy as the boy did not have any serious injuries and called his parents to inform them about the incident and they thanked us for helping their son.        After Mr Tan sent me home I told my parents what had happened and they smiled proudly at me for helping the boy. They also advised me to be careful on the road now days as the numbers of road accidents are increasing. That day I had vowed to be more safety concourse on the road.
