Since its’ foundation in 1923, APV has de-veloped from being a local supplier of heat exchangers to being a worldwide and inter-nationally recognized supplier of high quality plate heat exchangers to marine applications and has continuously extended its’ product range to match customer requirements.

The APV global Marine Division is representing a range of high quality plate heat exchangers and fresh water generator for a multitude of marine applications such as central and l.o. coolers, jacket water preheaters & cooling, cargo heating, and steam dump condensers.

The product portfolio comprises a wide range of plate heat exchangers, including the Quasar APV ParaFlow plate heat exchangers, which are especially designed for water and oil cooling on board vessels. The Quasar family of plate

APV Global Marine Divisionheat exchangers are characterized by offer-ing a multitude of plate designs and having patented corner locks and easy-clip gaskets as well as a highly advanced distribution area de-sign and in-line filter securing high efficiency.

For water de-salination APV offers units, which can provide up to 60 t/day of fresh water us-ing waste heat from the main engine, and cooled by seawater. The packaged units are available in single stage plate type, stainless steel vessel, steam injection and UV and re-hardening filters.

BLÜCHER, manufacturer of stainless steel drainage systems, installs its BLÜCHER® EuroPipe stainless steel sanitary pipework system to wastewater systems onboard all kinds of vessels.

The BLÜCHER® EuroPipe is interchangeable between gravity and vacuum discharge systems, and it is suitable for black and greywater discharge, scupper lines, central vacuum cleaning systems and garbage disposal systems among others.

The benefits of BLÜCHER® EuroPipe include the speed and ease of installation and its lightweight properties. For the shipyard, the same product range can be used for either blackwater system or greywater system. From the owner side, the benefit is the long lifetime of the system, its reliability, no leaking, no corrosion and minimum maintenance requirements.

BLÜCHER® EuroPipe is fireproof and does not release any toxic gases in case of fire. When penetrating fire divisions in bulkheads and decks, pipe penetrations have been fire tested and MED approved according to IMO Res. A 754(18) approval class A0 to A60.

The BLÜCHER® EuroPipe system can be installed in all types of black and greywater discharge systems, working perfectly with all recognised vacuum toilet systems and in gravity systems.

BLÜCHER® EuroPipe is available in stainless steel grade AISI 316L or optionally grade AISI 304, in outside diameters 50, 75, 110, 125, 160 and 200 mm in standard lengths from 0.15 m to 6 m and with a wide range of fittings.

BLÜCHER also produces drains for shower cabins, bathrooms, galleys and other deck areas. Among recent product news are drains and pipe penetrations with flanges in combined stainless steel and aluminium, enabling welding of the stainless steel drains and pipe penetrations directly into aluminium structures.

Company Profile Danelec Marine was founded in 1982, and is a Danish company that is located just north of Co-penhagen.

For more than 20 years Danelec has been closely related to the Royal Danish Navy (RDN), as both a supplier of specialized industrial products as well as partner in several larger computer based projects.

In 2001 the RDN chose Danelec as designer and supplier of several computer based products as part of an upgrade of 31 major vessels where the “NAVY VDR” was an integrated part.

The real “break-thru” came in 2003, when Danelec developed and sold the 1st generation VDR (Voyage Data Recorder) that was an IMO carriage requirement.

Products Danelec is proud and pleased to introduce the new and 2nd generations of VDR products which offers state-of-the-art technology, and which is designed with a high focus of flexibility and reliability.The S-VDR and G2VDR solutions are extremely compact and light weight solutions, and are sim-ple and cost-effective to install and maintain.

The systems meet the requirement of IMO per-formance standard MSC.163(78) and complies with IEC standards IEC 61996-1/2 and IEC 60945, and is fully approved by Bundesamt für Seeschif-faahrt und Hydrographie (BSH).

Finally the products are of a modular and flexile design, where the S-VDR can be to a fully IMO A.861(20) compatible VDR by adding only an interface box.

The Danelec S-VDR will be serving the international retrofit market for vessels above 3000 gross tons constructed before July 1st, 2002. The products are fully supported by the Danelec Marine worldwide distribution network.

tion gears are designed for medium speed

tems. The gears are delivered with built-in

CP-propeller controls and with reduction

ratios of 1:2,14, 1:2,64 and 1:3,22 and

with PTO’s if required.

CP-propeller systems

Grenaa CP-propeller systems are supplied

for operation with any high-speed or me-

dium speed engine. The propellers have op-

timized designs for vessels with speed up to

20 knots. All propeller systems are designed

so that they can be overhauled to as-new

standard without exchange of major compo-

nents. Computer analysis of the propulsion

characteristics and shaft vibrations are per-

formed for each system delivered.

IMO MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI is a major issue for the ship-ping industry. Marine diesel engines must now meet the testing, surveying and certifi-cation procedures required to comply with Oxides of Nitro-gen (NOX) emission require-ments. Various Procedures for demonstrating compliance are possible but the direct measurement and monitoring method is the easiest way for the shipowner to show current compliance test data.

Freshwater Salinometers Our salinometers are used by the world’s leading manufacturers of fresh-water generators. Measuring the salinity of distilled sea water; the device is capable of measuring the range of salinity as low as 5-10 ppm on one or more measuring points. Our salinometers SL6000 and SL6005 are DNV approved, and we guarantee high operational reli-ability.

Removable electrode unit (New)The electrode unit has been con-structed so that by means of a gate-valve, the electrode can be removed for inspection and cleaning purpos-es without closing for the water. In addition, the new electrode makes it possible to increase the length of the cable between the electrode and the salinometer with up to 100 meters.

Bridge watch – greater safety at sea BW-700 is a new bridge watch alarm system complying with all interna-tional IMO requirements. The three-step alarm features motion sensors, which will trigger the alarm, if the sensor does not detect any motion on the bridge within 3-15 minutes. The alarm can also be connected to the ship’s general alarm system or to alarm units in the crew area.
