TANKS AND BUNDSThe secure lining of tanks and bunds is one of the most essential site applications, increasing durability and ensuring safety. Fosroc has a range of products for the construction and maintenance of these structures.

Fosroc Supercast SW swellable waterstops have been extensively BBA tested for long term durability in wetting and drying cycles. To perform under pressure, it is critical that grouts are flowable and user friendly, ensuring high contact with the foundation and the plate. Grouts must be reliable in application, performing consistently throughout operations. Shrinkage, segregation, bleeding and bubbling must be controlled, while creating a flowable, yet strong material.

WATERPROOFING & CONTAINMENTWhen building below ground it is critical to ensure that all concrete and steel reinforcement is fully protected against unwanted ingress or egress of liquids. Fosroc’s patented Proofex Engage waterproofing system has a uniquely designed mechanical bond, that ensures the membrane becomes part of the concrete. The design means that even if the membrane is punctured locally, water cannot track. Its robust nature can save many hours from the construction schedule as it requires minimal protection and further benefits can be gained by reduced need for expensive sub-base blinding.

SADARA - Saudi Arabia

The construction of one of the world’s largest process plants in Saudi Arabia enabled Fosroc’s local team to work with the various contractors and engineers to provide many solutions to the project. From waterproof membranes to epoxy grouts, protective coatings, flooring and repair compounds, Fosroc engineers worked with design teams to develop solutions in challenging conditions and train applicators to ensure first class product performance.

LNG Tangguh - Indonesia

The expansion of the LNG facility in Tangguh required a waterproof/protective coating meeting the clients demanding specification for performance in service and ecology. Nitocote PE135 was used extensively throughout construction because it is easy to apply with high durability and chemical resistance. A major benefit of the product is its moisture tolerance in application, meaning it may be applied to green concrete or in inclement weather.

South Hook - United Kingdom

As a strategic project to enhance import capacity and reserves of LNG into the UK, the South Hook and adjacent Dragon LNG projects required a major upgrade to the jetty and new tank storage facilities. Renderoc repair materials and Conbextra grouts were used extensively on the repair and make good of both structures.

Rabab Harweel - Oman

Situated in the remote desert of South Oman, the development of this state-of-the-art oil and gas producing facility created the challenge of ensuring consistent supply. Conbextra EP300

Epoxy grout for thick section grouting of dynamic loads. Good chemical resistance with high early and ultimate strengths.

Conbextra HF High-flow cementitious grout for installation under large sections, dual shrinkage compensation for high surface contact.

Lokfix E55 Single-part vinyl ester anchoring resin for high strength fixings into concrete. Resistant to immersion and high service temperatures.

Coatings for tank and bunds

Nitocote EN901

Epoxy Novolac coating with high chemical and abrasion resistance. Can adhere to steel and concrete.

Nitocote NT402

Solvent free, non-tar-based epoxy coating with good chemical resistance, may be used in immersed conditions. Adheres to steel and concrete.

Nitocote HT120

Novel resin coating for use in tanks with temperatures up to 120°C. High chemical resistance and adheres to concrete and steel.

Nitocote PE135 Eco friendly hydrophobic single component polyester resin coating. May be applied to green concrete providing protection from water and some chemicals.

Colpor 200 Two component, cold applied, flexible joint sealant for heavy duty application. Resistant to traffic, fuel and hydrocarbon spillage.

Expoband Durable bandage membrane. Adhered to concrete to accommodate movement and resist positive pressure in tanks, bunds and other water retaining structures.

Nitoseal MS600

Single component MS Polymer, flexible engineering sealant, for immersed conditions. Exhibits resistance to some chemicals.

Nitoseal PU220 Two component pitch polyurethane elastomeric joint sealant. Resistant to some chemicals and hydrocarbons.

Thioflex 555 Two part ultra-rapid cure pavement sealant for heavy duty application. Resistant to some chemicals, fuels and hydrocarbons.

Nitofill LV Low-viscosity epoxy crack injection resin. For structural and liquid resistant sealing of fine concrete cracks.

Nitomortar S Heavy Duty epoxy repair mortar. Rapid strength gain and abrasion resistance with good resistance to chemicals.

Fine epoxy paste for sealing surface cracks and imperfections. Used as a stand-alone system or prior to flooring or coating applications.
