Every year on December 12, Turkmenistan celebrates its Neutrality Day. This year, during the solemn ceremony which was traditionally held at `Ruhiet` President Palace in accordance with the Decree of the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a number of foreign citizens along with the heads and representatives of the Government were awarded with anniversary medal “Garaşsyz, Baky Bitarap Türkmenistan” (“Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan”) in honor of the 20th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan.

For his great contribution to the achievements of Turkmenistan, expansion of international cooperation and strengthening of friendly and good neighborhood relations, the founder of Rönesans Holding Dr. Erman Ilıcak was awarded anniversary medal “Garaşsyz, Baky Bitarap Türkmenistan” (“Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan”).

Heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, such as the UAE Ambassador Hassan Abdullah Al Adab Al Zaruni, the Ambassador of Russia Alexander Blokhin, Chinese

Ambassador Xiao Qinghua and Kazakh Ambassador Orman Nurbayev are among the foreign citizens awarded with anniversary medal.

Representatives of UN agencies, in particular the Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Ján Kubiš, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, UNDP Resident Representative Jacinto Barrins, UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Oyunsayhan Dendevnorov, Head of the OSCE Centre in Turkmenistan Ivo Petrov, and UN Assistant Secretary -General for Political Affairs Miroslav Jentzsch were also awarded medals.

The President also awarded the scientists conducting research in Turkmenistan such as Nadezhda Dubova a leading researcher of Ethnology and Anthropology Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, an archaeologist from the UK Paul David Wordsworth, an Italian archaeologist Barbara Cherasetti, and others.

“RHI Company will sign EPC contract within this month with Sumitomo Co. (Japan) for the construction of Gas Turbine Power Plant project with 3x144 MW capacity in Serdarabat district of Lebap region in Turkmenistan.”

The contract between the Owner (State Concern Turkmenenergo) and the General Contractor (Sumitomo Co.) was signed on 23th of October during the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe to Turkmenistan.

Phosphoric Fertilizer Plant In Turkmenabad, TurkmenistanFramework agreement was signed between Turkmenhimiya State Concern and Consortium of Companies consisting of RHI, Sojitz Corporation (Japan), and TTCL Public Company Limited (Thailand) for the implementation of “Phosphoric Fertilizer Plant” project based on EPCC LSTK terms and the annual capacity of the Plant in Turkmenabad will be 300,000 tons.

Negotiations with the Owner on Commercial and Technical Proposal are still ongoing.

RHI has great experience in construction of fertilizer plants across the world, including fertilizer plants on nitrogen and potash-based fertilizers.

Thus RHI has an ongoing construction project of Sulphuric Acid Plant in Turkmenabad (capacity 500,000 tpa). The construction activities are carried out by RHI on EPC basis with MES (Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding).

Based on the Decree № 14450 issued by the President of Turkmenistan, 85% of the funding will be provided by Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and by Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI). The remaining15% is expected to be provided by “Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited” financial company and Deutsche Bank AG.

All engineering, procurement, and construction works will be implemented by the RHI Company. The turbines and generators (three installations of each type) will be delivered by MHPS (Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems).

Galkynysh Gas Field Development In Yoloten, Turkmenistan

THE OFFICIAL CEREMONY IN HONOR OF STATE CONCERN TURKMENGAS DELEGATION IN JAPAN

JGC-Chiyoda, on behalf of 7-party consortium composed of RHI, Itochu Corporation, JGC Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation, Sojitz Corporation and Çalık Group hosted the reception at InterContinental Hotel in Yokohama, Japan on November 10, 2015, welcoming M. Babayev, the Vice Chairman of State Concern Turkmengas delegation.

At the reception, M. Sato, the Chairman of JGC Corporation and S. Shibuya, the President & CEO made a welcome speech and M. Babayev toasted for the success of negotiation and project.

Framework Agreement was signed on 23th of October between State Concern Turkmengas and a group of companies composed of RHI, Itochu Corporation, JGC Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation, Sojitz Corporation, and Çalık Group for the realization of “Galkynysh Gas Development Project” in Turkmenistan.

The works to be implemented based on EPC include;• Surface Gas Gathering, • Central Processing Facilities,• Related facilities including Access Road, Railway, and Camp.

The scope of works for drilling and well construction will be a subject for further discussion with the owner.

The founder of Rönesans Holding Dr. Erman Ilıcak was invited to the groundbreaking ceremony of the TAPI.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the Gas Pipeline construction, which is supposed to pass through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India (TAPI), was held on December 13, 2015 in the Turkmen city of Mary.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, and Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari attended the ceremony.

The design capacity of the TAPI pipeline is 33 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The launch date of the project is December 2019.

During the welcoming ceremony, the guests of honor were greeted with national dances of the participating countries.

Cargill Sunflower Oil Extraction Plant In Volgograd Region, Russia

RHI has completed the works at Oil Extraction Plant located in Novoanninsky district of Volgograd region, Russia.

The Client of EPC works, is the international food conglomerate Cargill company. It is expected that Cargill Sunflower Oil Extraction Plant will annually produce 280,000 tons of sunflower crude oil and 260,000 tons of sunflower meal which will be used for feed production.

Founded in 1865, Cargill is one the largest international manufacturers and suppliers of food, agricultural and industrial products in the world. Client’s Engineer in projects was Tebodin Consultants and Engineers.

Project implementation was initiated in 2012. This is RHI’s third project with Cargill.

On December 9 and 10, Vice President Ahmed Abdullayev represented RHI at “Downstream Project Management in CIS and CEE” Conference with a report on “Key Success Factors for Downstream Project Management in Turkmenistan.” Major clients, EPC contractors, design institutes, and technology providers involved in CIS & CEE downstream sector gathered together in Milan to discuss how to optimize capital project costs, boost schedule performance, operate more safely, and increase margins in both the refining and petrochemical industries. In his speech, VP Abdullayev told about the activities of RHI in Turkmenistan and emphasized the importance of local content for our company. RHI pays great attention to the local content and commits extensive resources for all kinds of promotional events, projects, and educational programs for local labor force; opens centers for teaching construction trades (welders’ school). Along with this, RHI gives support to local suppliers as well by being aware of the fact that “contribution to society is the main key to sustainability”.

On December 7-9, 2015 Business Development Manager Mehmet E. Erkesim attended North Africa Downstream Summit 2015.

North Africa Oil & Gas Summit is a meeting place for North African NOCs, IOCs, EPC Companies, Oil and Gas Service Companies, and other key stake holders of the industry. It is a good opportunity to see the potential in North African markets and share the ideas with the participants. Country roundtables were held to debate more in depth about the hydrocarbon potential, specifically in Algeria and other North African countries.

RHI is active in North African countries such as Algeria and Morocco for Hydrocarbon projects and this event was successful for exploring opportunities and building networks.

China: Memorandum Of Understanding Signed With China Tianchen Engineering Corporation (TCC)

Kazakhstan: RHI Invited To Breakfast With Tengizchevroil Management In Atyrau

On December 3, 2015, RHI Vice President, Business Development Ahmed Abdullayev was invited to Atyrau, Kazakhstan to participatein the breakfast with Tengizchevroil management.

The team of Tengizchevroil was led by General Director Tim Miller. RHI is looking forward to expanding its activity in Kazakhstan.

A Memorandum of Understanding between RHI and TCC has been signed on December 15, 2015 in Tianjin, which is a metropolis in coastal Northeastern China and the third largest city of China with a total municipal population over 15 million. It is governed as one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the PRC and is thus under direct administration of the central government.

Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipal Government Zhao Haishan, Secretary of Tianjin Beichen District CPC Zhang Shengru, and Representatives of Turkish Embassy in China M. Halil Madazli (Chief Commercial Counselor) and Mustafa İlker Özdem (Commercial Counselor) were invited to a solemn ceremony in honor of Memorandum signing.All senior executives of TCC were

present at the ceremony, the head of Chairman of Board, Party Secretary – Wang Zhiyuan and Vice President – Deng Zhaojing.

In accordance with the Memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the petrochemical and energy projects in CIS, Central Asia, and Africa on EPC. Company information: TCC - China Tianchen Engineering Corporation, the leader and the first engineering corporation in petrochemical field in China, was founded in 1953. Since its establishment TCC completed technical development, consultation, engineering, construction and EPC works for more than 2.000 projects. TCC has consistently been listed as one of the Top 250 International Contractors and the Top 225 International Design Firms by ENR.

Heavy Equipment Installation At Phosagro Ammonia Plant

According to one of our core values, WE DO NOT COMPROMISE ON WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR US. Our commitment to safety and quality of work was clearly reflected in the Phosagro Ammonia Plant project in Cherepovets (Russia), where heavy equipment havehas been erected to date with zero incidents.

Within the framework of ongoing Ammonia Plant which belongs to Phosagro and is being realized by RHI, MHI and Sojitz Consortium, the heavy lifting operations werehave been completed in November, 2015.

We mobilized three massive cranes (with the capacities of 1250t, 750t, and 350t) and successfully completed installation works for Ammonia converter (600 t weight), CO2 Absorber (431 t weight), and CO2 Stipper (284 t weight)

The Plant with the capacity of 803.000 tpa is planned to be completed in 2016. AMMONIA CONVERTER

Renaissance Excellence Awards (REXA) is an award given to projects, people, and teams under the roof of Renaissance that make a contribution to the society and country.

The aim of REXA is to promote, support, and award creative, original, and frame-breaking success under the roof of Renaissance.

Renaissance Excellence Awards are usually given in three different categories such as; Individual, Team, and Project Site. This year, RHI Tender department has been chosen as the best team of the Holding. RHI Deputy General Director Süleyman Turan states that people themselves are the secret of team success. “Harmony in team work, empathy, sense of responsibility, and trust in each other are the keys to becoming the best” Tender Department Director Mehmet Emin Akay stressed.

On Tuesday evening, December, 15, 2015, Tarsus Amerikan College Basketball Team and the Turkmenistan National A Team met for a “Friendship Game” at Tarsus American College Hall of Sports. İt was the stiff competition which brought the fans a real pleasure. As the normal duration of the game ended in a draw with the score of 70-70, in the extension, Turkmenistan’s national team won the game with the final score of 80-73. We would like to express our gratitude to Turkmenistan National Team for this valuable practice opportunity and wish the teams continued success.

On November 15, 2015 RHI participated in annual 37th Istanbul Marathon, which was first held in Turkey in 1979.

The participants can choose a course they prefer to run. Courses vary from 5 km to standard marathon distance of 42.195 km. The marathon starts in the Asian side and ends in the European side of Istanbul. General Manager of RHI Nuri Celal Toroğlu participated with his wife and covered a distance of 15 km in 1:25:37. Invited students from ODTÜ (in Eng. Middle East Technical University), one of the leading Turkish universities, participated in this marathon on behalf of RHI Company.

Countdown Starts For Gotthard Tunnel

Renaissance Management Services Initiates Its Activities

The tunnel’s test drive was successfully carried out in October. The test drives on the tunnel, which is planned to interconnect Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, will be completed until May 2016 and the tunnel will be put into service from then on.

Renaissance Management Services Consultancy Co. operating under the Renaissance Healthcare Investment Inc., will o perate Rönesans Holding’s activities in the field of Healthcare. Renaissance Operating Services Consultancy Co., the youngest group of Rönesans Holding, initiated its activities in 2015 will carry out the business planning needed in projects and will undertake the operational responsibility of projects for many years ahead as well.

The Renaissance Operating Services Consultancy Co. will operate the following projects which are covered by Renaissance Healthcare Investment’s portfolio as of August 2015;

1. Elazığ Integrated Health Campus (1,038 beds),2. Yozgat Training and Research Hospital (475 beds),3. Adana Integrated Health Campus (1,550 beds),4. Bursa Integrated Health Campus (1,355 beds),5. İstanbul İkitelli Integrated Health Campus (2,682 beds),6. The Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Psychiatry and High-Security Forensic Psychiatry Hospitals to be constructed in eight provinces, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, İstanbul (Bakırköy), and Van (2,400 beds).

The countdown started for the 57-km Gotthard Base, the world’s longest railway tunnel that has been undertaken by Renaissance Group.

New Year Message From The Board of DirectorsOn December 21, 2015, RHI President & Chairman of the Board of Directors Alptekin Tizer held the annual New Year’s Eve meeting with the employees of the company.

The meeting started as an acquaintance meeting with the attendance of new employees of the company. After new employees introduced themselves and briefly told about their previous job experiences, the President summed up the annual results and underlined that the company continues its progressive development.

The meeting ended with the President’s New Year greeting to the company’s office and construction site employees:
