• In this passage, we find Paul setting forth the necessary characteristics of the Christian. While there is certainly much more to being a Christian, these are indispensable to the building up of a Christian characteristic.

and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
