FP6 – the current situation

In March 2005:

EU contribution to signed contracts totalled €5.6 billion

Participations in signed contracts totalled 23,000

Excluding Mobility measures, each FP6 contract had double the number of partners of an average FP5 contract and received 3 times as much EU contribution

Higher education institutions have increased their participation rate by 7%

Business enterprise sector participation is down 5% compared with FP5
