CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® PROFESSIONALSAs the sole licensing body for the international CFP® Certification in Australia, the FPA is home to all financial planners who have achieved the highest standard of education, experience, ethics and professionalism in

financial planning, recognised around the world. It is only through the FPA that you can access all of these elite professionals at the same time. As at May 2012, we have over 5,500 CFP profesionals as members.

OTHER FINANCIAL PLANNING PRACTITIONERSTo be a practitioner member of the FPA, financial planners need to meet professional standards that are higher than the law requires. As at May 2012, we have over 2,000 Financial Planner AFP® members with authorised representative status and who have at least one year’s supervised experience.

FPA AFFILIATESThe FPA serves a valuable purpose in keeping other industry professionals abreast of developments and news. Those individuals are affiliates of the Association and include paraprofessionals, future and new planners, students as well as those working in related roles such as compliance, technical and training. As at May 2012, we have over 2,000 FPA affiliates.

FPA PROFESSIONAL PRACTICESThese financial planning practices represent over 200 high quality businesses that are endorsed to use the FPA brand. In order to be awarded FPA Professional Practice status, these businesses have met strict criteria and ongoing audit requirements, grounded in the FPA Code of Professional Practice, to hold themselves out as high quality professional financial planning businesses in their community.

This is a web-app that works from your device’s browser whether it’s an iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Windows, and even a tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

The app will showcase the program, attendee list, speakers’ bios, feedback forms and question submission. All delegates will be encouraged to download the app prior to arriving onsite.

ADVANCED CPDTECHNICAL WORKSHOPS

To commemorate the FPA’s historical two decade milestone, we are delighted to announce a unique 20th Anniversary program that will replace our signature National Conference for 2012 only. The 20th Anniversary events will take place in Capital City locations during November and December.

This half day afternoon workshop series will showcase CPD delivered by our strategic alliance partners. Delegates will participate in a half day workshop featuring high quality education and CPD opportunities. In addition, a small exhibition space will be on hand so sponsors can demonstrate new technologies or business solution products to planners.

The day will be capped off with a Champagne Reception and the annual FPA Awards presentation. The awards showcased are the FPA 2012 Best Practice Awards, with presentations being made to the award winners who have demonstrated the highest standards of advice. In addition, the reception will recognise the pioneers, role models and exceptional contributors to the profession while celebrating two decades of progress in our professional journey.
