SOCIAL REPORT AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 8

We are proud to present the Social Report and Sustainability Report, our social investment statement.

Over these 60 years, "building knowledge", the Fundação Romi (Romi Foundation) invested millions of reais, benefiting thousands of people, directly and indirectly.

We are a charitable institution of social assistance and education, a Third Sector organization, private, non-profit, with public purposes.

A living organism of continuous learning, which strives to maximize the impact of social investments in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste and region. Participating in the transformation of society is an act that brings satisfaction to our team of col laborators and partners; however satisfaction and reward come, above all, from the result generated.

The Brazilian educational system has grown, but it has not yet reached the ideal model. If there is an ideal model. Center for living on child development

As a result of the partnership between the Romi Foundation and the Municipal Departmentof Education of Santa Bárbara d´Oeste, CEDIN (CLCD - Center for Living on Child Development), aimed at children aged 4 and 5, especially in situations of social vulnerability, is an important and i n n o v a t i v e m e c h a n i s m f o r children's schooling in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste. "CEDIN (CLCD) has a differentiated pedagogical work because it values the child as protagonist and this will reflect in a better future for her.

Teachers who work and know the methodology developed in CEDIN acquire an open mind, with investigative attitudes, critical sense, sensitivity to the transformations of the world and flexibility to accept the process of continuous change of education. The municipality is extremely grateful for the work developed by the Romi Foundation through CEDIN "- Tânia Mara da Silva, Municipal Bureau of Education of Santa Bárbara d'Oeste.

Kids meet the real and the imaginary through story telling. CEDIN's teachers work hard to make kids enjoy literature, to teach them to listen to and to speak, to encourage them to tell stories, to perform theatrical acts and to express their feelings and emotions.

All kids work together. These activities stimulate students, feeding their universe and, most importantly, contribute to the development of each one of them.

SOCIAL REPORT AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Even considering the socioeconomic and cultural differences experienced by the CEDIN (CLCD) students and their families, respecting the history of each one and the social environment in which they are inserted, the results obtained are evaluated as excellent. Faced with the reality of the students and all the challenges of national education, CEDIN (CLCD) has been properly fulfilling its role in the commitment to the integral development of the child.

The passive role of students in teaching has been criticized for a long time, based on lectures, whiteboards, closed rooms, memorization and repetition of exercises. The student of the 21st century wants to use their knowledge, apply it and associate what they have studied with the context in which they are inserted.

Structured in projects, with objectives, goals and indicators, the contents of the expressive and knowledge areas are offered to the students through challenges, that is, the adolescents are encouraged to follow the stages of the projects, in groups, assimilating the contents and

accumulating knowledge.Guided by the Science educator,

Wallesandra Araujo Silva, Physics and Master in Education, the 8th and 9th grade students brought, from the 19th Brazilian Astronomy and Astronautics Olympiad, five gold, two silver and two bronze medals. It was the first time that NEI participated in the OBA (BAO) and already collects medals.

The NEI - Núcleo de Educação Integrada (Integrated Education Nucleus) also collects a medal awarded by the Olimpíada Brasileira de Robótica (Brazilian Robotics Olympics), whose theme encourages

Two thousand people honored the "Open Doors NEI", the Scientific and Knowledge Show developed by the students of the Integrated Education Nucleus. We had experiments, experiences created and produced during the school year, gathered in an event open to the regional community, which illustrated the results of the 2016 Challenges, from the themes: "The marks of time" and "Olympiads".

Like Art and Theater, Music is part of the regular grid of the NEI and the choir is the maximum expression of the concretization of the challenges used in this expressive area. Gathering over 200 voices, the NEI Choir is formed by the students under the

The “Local history as element of culture and citizenship” project, was promoted through an agreement with the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN) (Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage), allowed the organization of Heritage Educational workshops to almost 7 thousand children which, in the 2016's edition, participated in 32 editions of the scavenger's hunt, 163

plastic arts workshops about the foundation of the city, the first national car, pre-historical paintings and immigration, besides 49 scenic tours and 80 Storytelling.

The main function of Historical Documentation Center is to provide to the schools and care institutions a place of pedagogical integration, through the employment of history and experiment of new subjects.

culture and citizenship

In 2016, over 40 thousand kinds of documents passed through Technical Processing. Nowadays, from its collection, 228,597 pages of newspaper, 3,605 written

documents, 42,434 photographs, 21,980 newspaper clippings and 2,621 catalogs are available to free research via web. They are historical documents from the

beginning of the 19th century until today.

From this work of the Historical Documentation Center it is possible to preserve the Santa

Bárbara's history, making it available to the people free of charge and sharing knowledge among educators, children and teenagers.

A place of culture, memory and identity

To celebrate the 60 years of the first Brazilian-made car, Romi Foundation opened its space to “Romi-Isettas National Meeting”.

The event brought together more than 2,000 people who could appreciate the 37 collectors' model in attendance.

“This is a very important moment for what Romi-Isetta represents to all of us, not only to Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, but to Brazil. Romi-Isetta is the icon which marked the beginning of the Brazilian automotive industry”, says Vainer Penatti, Superintendent of Romi Foundation.

“An important point of Robotics is the stimulation of research and protagonism. The ludic, added to the interest and familiarity of the new generations about mechatronics and computer science, awakens leaderships and turns students into agents of their own learning ", says Magda Aparecida da Silva Rizzeto, educator of Information Technology and Communication + Robotics.

Another important point of the NEI, in 2016, of extreme relevance was the excellent classification in the SARESP - Sistema de Avaliação

de Rendimento Escolar do Estado de São Paulo (School Performance Evaluation System of the State of São Paulo), whose score places the NEI among the best schools in the state. With this, we have very well prepared adolescents, satisfied parents and relatives, proud educators and many "painted faces", after all, as delicious as being successful in the entrance examinations is to paint the faces of friends.

Approximately 70% of the graduate were approved in the main public technical schools of the region, such as ETECs, COTUCA and COTIL.
