The 3rd Sunday of Advent was known as “Gaudete
Sunday.” Gaudete means “rejoice” in La�n. We prepare, rejoice and celebrate the Na�vity of Our Lord Jesus. Pay close a!en�on to the mass readings a#er December 17th. This year, 2015, it falls on Thursday of the Third Week of Advent. For the last eight days before Christmas, the readings at daily Mass are filled with prophesies, stories of faithful men and women who prepared the way for our salva�on. “What should we do?” Pope Francis in his book, the Joy of Gospel, exhorts us to pray, reflect, ponder, interiorize, and then share the Gospel of Christ to a dark and wai�ng world. May all of our lives and works be full of the joy of the Gospel that is rooted in our own personal encounters with Jesus! A BIG Thank you to all who par�cipate in our annual St. Thomas More “Giving Tree.” Your generosity brings joys and cheers to many needy children and families. God Bless You!
El 3 º domingo de Adviento fue conocido como
“Domingo Gaudete”. La palabra “Gaudete” significa “alegrarse” en la<n. Nosotros preparamos, alegres y celebramos la Na�vidad de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Atención a las lecturas de las Misas, especialmente después del 17 de diciembre. Este año, 2015 se dará a par�r el jueves de la tercera semana de Adviento. Sobre los úl�mos ocho días antes de la Navidad, las lecturas de las Misas diarias se encuentran llenas de profecías, historias de los hombres y mujeres fieles que prepararon el camino para nuestra salvación. “¿Qué tenemos que hacer?’ El Papa Francisco en su libro, “La Alegría del Evangelio”, nos exhorta a orar, reflexionar, pensar, interiorizar y compar�r el Evangelio de Cristo con un mundo oscuro y an�cipa-do. ¡Que todas nuestras vidas y obras sean llenas de la alegría del Evangelio que �ene sus raíces en nuestro propio encuentro personal con Jesús! Muchísimas gracias a todos quienes par�ciparon en nuestro anual “Árbol de Regalos Navideños” de Santo Tomas Moro. Su generosidad traerá alegría y a mu-chas familias y niños necesitados. ¡Que dios los bendi-

Vengan con su familia y únase a nosotros para Las Posadas que darán comienzo el miércoles, 16 de dic-iembre al 23 de diciembre a las 7:00 pm. Comen-zaremos con el Rosario afuera del Salón Prinster. Las Posadas es una celebración religiosa que rectifica-ciones el viaje bíblico de María y José como buscaron refugio en Belén antes del nacimiento de Jesús. La tarde concluirá con pan dulce, café y chocolate. ¡Ven y Únete a nosotros para orar, cantar y celebrar!
Come along with your family and join us for Las Posadas starting Wednesday, December 16—23 at
7:00 P.M. We will start with the rosary outside the Prinster Hall. Las Posadas is a religious celebration that reenacts the biblical journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. The afternoon will conclude with, “pan dulce,” coffee and hot chocolate! Come and join us for prayer, singing and celebration!

Janet Glaser is the business
manager at St. Thomas More
Parish School. She has been
employed at St. Thomas More
School for 15 years. She has a Bachelor of Busi-
ness Administration in Accounting from Texas
A&M University. Mrs. Glaser has been married
to Mark Glaser for 33 years. They have 2 chil-
dren, both STM alumni. Her son, Christopher,
and his wife have 2 children and live in South-
lake, Texas. Her daughter, Carol, is a kindergar-
ten teacher at STM. Her hobbies are traveling,
reading, and being a grandma. Mrs. Glaser states,
“I love working at STM with my office co-
workers. We are a team dedicated to ensuring
that STM will remain an outstanding school for
another 50 years.”
