The Steubenville Youth Group is having an Avon and Tupperware Fundraiser until December 2nd
to raise money for
the upcoming Steubenville Conference in July 2016. Anyone interested in purchasing from either fundraiser can contact
Jessie or a Steubenville participant to place an order. Thank you for supporting St. Joseph's Youth as they continue to
grow in their faith.
Christmas Almsgiving Project – Donations collected for the Women’s Action Resource Center will be used to
purchase gifts for latecomers and any Angel Tree tags left on the trees, as well as provide families with grocery store
vouchers. Donations will be accepted now through Dec. 16th
and can be dropped off at the parish office or placed in the
collection indicating ‘WARC’ on the donation. Please consider participating in this Almsgiving Project to help brighten
this Christmas season for our neighbors in need.
Join St. Joseph’s Social Outreach for BINGO – All Senior Citizens are invited to play Bingo Monday, November 30th
at 2:00 pm at the School House Apartments and Tuesday, December 8th
at 2:30 pm at Sunset Manor. Prizes and snacks
will be provided. If you would like to attend and need transportation, please contact the parish office at 873-5397 or

The Ladies of St. Joseph are cordially invited to St. Martin Altar Society’s Annual Christmas Party Tuesday,
December 1st. The evening begins with a social at 5:30 pm followed by a hors-d'oeuvre or dessert potluck at 6:00. An
optional $10 gift exchange is also planned. A Christmas gathering will be held Monday, December 14th
at 6:00 pm
at St. Joseph’s for the women of both parishes.. More details to follow. A sign up is located in the church entrance.
It’s the perfect time to order your Christmas Memorial Flowers. Donation envelopes are available in the church
entrance. You may place your special request honoring family and friends in the collection basket at Mass or send it to
the parish office by December 20th
. The suggested donation is $15. Thank you.

Please help them reach their fundraising goals. Thank You for your continued support and dedication to the youth of St. Martin’s. ~ St. Martin’s RE Christmas Program will be December 20
th after 10am Mass. After the program there
will be a potluck and fellowship for the whole parish. Please bring a dish to share! St. Martin Altar Society will hold their Annual Christmas Party with the ladies of St. Joseph’s on Tuesday, December 1
st. A social will kick the party off at 5:30 pm; a hors d’oeurve or dessert potluck will
be served at 6:00pm. We will also be doing a $10 gift exchange, which is optional. All ladies of the parish are invited to attend! Our next Altar Society meeting will be January 5
th, 2016.

Donations can be made in a plain white envelope clearly marked "Christmas Flowers", we also have envelopes located at both entrances of the church. The envelopes can be placed in the weekend offertory or dropped off at the Parish Office. Thank you!
A celebration of Betty Krause’s life and funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 5 at 10 am. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 4 with family visitation to follow at 7pm.

How is God calling you to serve?

Advent is a Time of Hope. It isn’t Christmas and it isn’t ‘the holiday season’. It is its own special
time of preparation. As we begin to prepare our homes for the birth of Jesus, we are given a special
opportunity to prepare our hearts by receiving the sacrament of reconciliation.
Father Ken will be assisted by two priests from the Abbey to hear confessions on
Wednesday, December 9th
at St. Martin and Wednesday, December 16th
at St. Joseph.
Reconciliation times are 4:00 to 5:30 pm and 6:30 to 8:00 pm at each parish. Father Ken also hears
confessions prior to daily and weekend Masses or by appointment.
Year of Mercy Parish Mission at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck - Cathedral of the Holy
Spirit will host a Year of Mercy Parish Mission on November 30, December 1 & 2 at 7:00 pm each
night in the church. In anticipation of the upcoming "Jubilee Year of Mercy," this mission is aimed
at leading the faithful to a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, the face of the Father's Mercy.
The mission will be presented by Tony Brandt and Chris Stewart of Casting Nets Ministries, a not-
for-profit lay apostolate dedicated to the challenge of the New Evangelization. Everyone is welcome
to attend!
Assumption Abbey Christmas Open House – Saturday, December 5 – 1 to 4 pm.
The annual “Christmas Open House” at Assumption Abbey Gift Shop and Wine Cellar will be held
on Saturday, December 5th
from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Abbey-made fruitcakes, assorted breads,
marmalades and pickled peppers as well as a good variety of table wines. A large and unique
assortment of gift items including the wonderful Assumption Abbey soap and beautiful Assumption
Abbey pottery will also be available for sale.
St. Mary’s Parish in Richardton is seeking applicants for the following positions which may be
filled by one full-time or two part-time candidates: Director of Religious Education Pre-K- Gr. 6 and
Youth/Adult Faith Formation Director. Each position requires 15-20 hours per week including some

ATTENTION: BEULAH AND HAZEN AREA YOUTH – St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus
Council is sponsoring a Free Throw Contest, Sunday, December 13th
at 2:00 pm – Doors open at
1:30 pm. All boys and girls ages 9-14 are invited to participate in the local competition at the
Beulah High School Gymnasium. Registration will take place at the event. A parent will need to
be present to sign the registration form. Local winners in each division will advance to the District
Competition in Richardton in January 2016. Contact Joe Bren at 873-2524 if you have any
