PREFACE

This book is prepared with a sacred reverence tothe great spiritual teachers who have preceded us inlife on Earth and whose endless task is to point to thebase of reference for mankind, to which he mustbecome oriented. The instructions and guidance fromthese great ones is always given in a simple, directmanner; it is never necessary to resort to dictionariesor encyclopedias in order to fully grasp the spiritualvalue.

No attempt is made to conform to artificial literarystandards nor to any world authority. The mastersnever use involved intellectual terminology, regardlessof any human opinion, for the nearer one comes to the

eternal truth, the more direct and concise is the termi-nology.

In the Congressional Library in Washington, D.C.,there is an inscription over one of the doorways, "Manis in one world and hath another to attend him." Thisblessing, this grace of God which sustains us all is a proof of the validity of the material in this book, i.e.,the brotherhood of man under the Fatherhood of God,and the ceaseless effort of those unknown great oneswho are unseen to human eyes. What have we done tomerit this?

At no time has man been without guidance to a lifethat is in harmony with the Infinite. However, it hasalways been man's responsibility to render himselfreceptive to that guidance through the cultivation ofpurity, humility and love.

The chapters of this book represent a record ofsuch guidance which has come to certain individualswho were sincerely seeking it, not for self alone, but toshare that knowledge. The relationship which isreflected throughout the chapters and the conversa-tional tones to the messages, the unique individuality,is explicit and to the point, while they impart univer-sal and impersonal truth.

How the messages were received is not important.The merely curious will be disappointed, for noattempt is made to gratify the dilettante or curiosityseeker. Sincere students of the mysteries of life under-

stand that truth needs no other confirmation than thejoyful response of one's own heart.

They will be encouraged to hold fast to what theyhave already found, to persevere in their aspirations.They will pay heed to the frequent and repeated admo-nitions, which are very important if one is to grow inlove and reverence. We found that certain key princi-ples and laws were repeated over and over again, todrive the essential point to the mark. This might havebeen because they were aware, by the light of ourauras, that the fullness of what was related to us wasnot being fully grasped. Therefore they repeated itagain and again, to clarify as "unto babes, young insoul growth," thus to lead to the enlargement of ourunderstanding, enabling man to cooperate with theseimmutable laws that govern the universe in whichman was captive, yet possessed "free will." We trustthis repetition will be accepted in love, as it isintended.

We trust that even the stranger to the ways ofspirit will also benefit from the thoughtful reading ofthis book and will come to realize that in the morevital aspects of human existence, authenticity is a matter of spiritual perception and that the quality ofthe product bears witness to its source. Such contem-plation may lead him to the new meaning of Shake-speare's observation that, "There are more things inheaven and Earth than are dreamed of in your philos-ophy."

BIOGRAPHY OFREVEREND GEORGE GRAHAM PRICEwhose spiritual name was Frater Achad

Reverend George G. Price came into our lives inthe early fall of 1953, after a senior couple from Gary,Indiana, Natasha and George Greenlee, recently mar-ried, had spent most of two years traveling across thecountry looking for a truly high quality metaphysicalteacher. There were a number of fine men availablepublicly, bu t for some indefinite reason, none werequite who or what they seemed to be searching for.

A friend announced over dinner, "Dear, I've j u s theard of the perfect teacher for you. His name is — oh,heck, I promised t h a t I wouldn' t tell anyone abouthim. He has re t i red completely from the public. I guess I shouldn ' t have ment ioned him." However,

before the evening was over, Mrs. Greenlee had theteacher's name and telephone number safely in herpurse.

A few days later, the Greenlee's decided to call theteacher to make an appointment. The response wasthat he had withdrawn from the public permanently.When they asked about access to his wonderful philos-ophy, of which they'd heard, he replied that he had a student who had public classes in the subject at theSouth Bend YMCA, Sunday mornings and Thursdayevenings, to which they would be most welcome.

Thursday evening found them at the appointedplace a half an hour early, waiting expectantly. Mrs.Greenlee fretted, "What will I say when he asks whotold us of them? I promised Ruth not to reveal heridentity." Her husband calmly said, "Just leave it tome."

Finally the elevator stopped at that floor and anelderly, stooped gentlemen walked out with a young,vibrant, red-haired man. Suddenly, a voice called out,"How did you find us? We had despaired of ever seeingyou."

The couple looked up and down the hall. There wasstill only the four there. They asked, "Who do youmean, us?" as the gentlemen approached and replied,"Yes, of course. You two."

The Greenlee couple introduced themselves to theteacher, Rev. George Graham Price, and his student,Eugene Lockhart. When asked again, "How did you

find us? Who told you where we were?", Mr. Greenleelooked them sternly in the eye, replying, "If you can'ttell us that, you aren't what we are looking for, andyou'll never see us again." The laughing reply was, "Isee the name Ruth in an arch over yourheads." (It was the name of the woman friend).

That reply was the least remarkable of the accom-plishments of Rev. Price which we were to enjoy in thefollowing six years of his life. Gene, it developed later,was seriously ill with diabetes. He, too, was a fountainof wonderful information, but he had an uncontrol-lable sweet tooth and serious diabetes that, at tha ttime, was not easily medicated. He only lived a coupleof years more.

They both soon moved into the Greenlee home andthe wonderful lessons that came through George Pricequickly attracted a fascinating and loyal group.

While he was a highly educated and well-read man— and we got to know him personally very well — most of the material which came through him couldnot have been filtered through his consciousness. Itwas true channeling of the highest quality. We laterlearned that a dear personal friend of Mr. Greenlee'swas framed and went to the penitentiary in the fraudand financial flap that surrounded the I AM group ofthe Ballards in Chicago some time earlier. Therefore a high quality and clear channel was the only teacher ofchoice desired by Mr. Greenlee. He had lost a lot of

money to the sheer greed of someone in the Chicagogroup and wasn't ready to allow that to happen again.

Rev. Price was born in Chicago, Illinois, in Marchof 1889 to circus performer parents . At an early age,he was tel l ing people wha t was going to happen tothem with s tar t l ing accuracy, much to the deep cha-grin of his devout Catholic parents.

When he was seven, they sent h im to a J e s u i tboarding school with instructions to the fathers thereto please exorcise him of these weird and blasphemoustalents.

However, the spiritual material tha t came throughhim was so in te res t ing and fine, t h a t i t caught theattention of two priests, who then, contrarily, took himunder their wing and protected him and his ta lents .As he later declared, "They really were responsible forthe better development of my channeling abilities."

He went on th rough Je su i t schools th rough thepriesthood up to the time of graduat ion (it is said, tothe day of graduation), when he did not appear for hisdiploma and never did pick it up. Later, he did com-plete his ministerial studies at the Moody Bible Insti-tute in Chicago and became an ordained minister. Hejoined the Salvat ion Army for a short t ime, but a short-lived marriage did little to keep him there.

While he dearly loved the ministry, teaching, coun-seling and channel ing to help people, his accuracyinvariably a t t r ac ted a subs tan t i a l group who weremost interested in questions of this sort: "Who will win

in the fifth at San ta Anita?" and, "Is my sweethear ttrue to me?"

Since being a minister was a poorly paid position,and the concentrat ion of many of his followers w a sstrictly commercial and mundane , not spi r i tual , hewould give it up and go into business. Several times hebecame quite wealthy, complete with chauffeur a n dmany other creature comforts.

Then his first love, spiritual teaching, looked bet-ter than ever, especially since he could now finance thechurch himself and hopefully at t ract a more spiri tualgroup around him. Then, again, discouraged and lowon funds, he'd go back into the business world.

At other times, in his desire to find the best way tohelp people in need, he was a male nurse in a lepercolony. He also spent a short time with the Spiritualistgroup at Lillydale. When Detroit was suffering from a rash of fake psychics, he helped the FBI in their inves-tigations to weed out the unscrupulous.

In a most astonishing case of conscious channeling,he helped one of our friends, who, through fire and theresul t ing financial complications, had a t remendousbusiness loss for himself and his inves tors . Con-sciously, Rev. Price first went through a list of six toeight subsequent offers from across the country whichhad dead-ended and fur ther upset and confused t h efriend and his sense of business direction. Rev. Pricepainted each one in incredible and complete details; heticked them all off wi thout one quest ion to p rompt

him. Our friend tu rned to me and accused me oftelling Rev. Price of them. I laughed and said I'd heardfrom his wife only of the first case. His jaw dropped."You are right. I stopped telling her about every onebecause she got much more upset than I did with eachsubsequent fiasco."

Finally, in his sixties, Rev. Price retired from thepublic in all ways, except for a very few faithful oldstudents , who had become widely scattered over theyears. He was living with his student, Gene Lockhart,in South Bend, Indiana, when the Greenlee's discov-ered him. After a few meet ings with the Greenlee's,and being thoroughly impressed with their deep spiri-tual purity and intent, he announced, "I will hold backnothing from you. I will help you in every way tha t I can." He came out of full r e t i r emen t to bless us allwith many of these lessons during the last six years ofhis life. It was a glorious and wonderful time for thisgroup, a number of whom travelled 50 to 150 miles forthe regular meetings. Another couple came 300 milesfor stays of up to 10 days and one enthusiast ic mem-ber came from as far away as Anchorage to s tay formonths on end.

It was always the desire of Rev. Price to pass awayat Christmastime. In December of 1959, he visited oneof his students, James Mack, and his family in SouthBend, Indiana . As he was p repar ing for bed on theevening of the 22nd, he fell and suffered a fatal con-cussion.

The channel 's bap t i smal name was George Gra-ham Price. He was a quiet, humble, but engaging mys-tic, who won the love and respect of those who crossedhis pa th in life. With his conscious counseling andclairvoyance, he aided many people. His greatest con-t r ibut ion to th is world laid in the beautiful lessonstha t came through him in suspended mental anima-tion.

The name "Frater Achad" in this book can best beunderstood in terms of "anonymous," as is frequentlyused by unknown authors of a poem or painting. Theterm "frater" re la tes to (fraternal) brother. "Achad"means "one" of the brothers or members of the ancientmystical White Brotherhood, also of the Great HighCouncil members. Therefore the term "Frater Achad"describes one of brothers as the channel.

As a member, he also gave to other members theprivilege of the using of his voice box, so that many ofthe parables and paradoxes in our beloved Bible weremade crystal clear in the interpretations given.

The name "Achad" is g ran ted only to those whohave given unselfish services to humankind at sometime in this life. It is to be used with the greatest dis-cr iminat ion and highest wisdom guidance in t he i rsearch to serve the Grea t Council in pure unselfishwisdom.

CHAPTER ONE

THE ANCIENT MYSTICAL WHITEBROTHERHOOD,

AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK

There is but one race — the human raceThere is but one man — GodmanThere is but one life — GodlifeThere is but one mind — Godmind.

Ever since m a n h a s been, the ancient myst icalWhite Brotherhood after the Order of Melchizedek hasbeen. It is spiritual as God is spiritual. It is birthless,ageless, and deathless as God is birthless, ageless, anddeathless. It is not a mundane organization, having noearthly lodges nor any material buildings or churchesmade of brick, steel, or stone. It is not founded on anyman-made dogma, creed, or ritual. It is free from any

influence or persuasion, and its authori ty and powercome from the eternal Divine Source of pure being.

The word "Melchizedek" is the only one all-inclu-sive word for the brotherhood of man. In Hebrew, it isa combination of two words: "Melchi," meaning king,and "Zedek," meaning righteousness, the right use ofconsciousness and all our mental faculties. (Heb. 7:1-3)

Members of the ancient mystical White Brother-hood, after the Order of Melchizedek, are myriad innumber and are invisible to the human eye. They arevery high spir i tual beings from many planets of theuniverse, including th is p lane t Ea r th . These highlyevolved great ones are of superior character, extremelywise, and express divine intelligence beyond our mor-tal comprehension. They always work together as one.There are many ways they use to convey their instruc-tion when it is necessary to use the vibration of sound.They are able to speak the language of any race ornation tha t they are contacting and with whom theyare working. They work mainly from the exaltedsupernatural planes of divine intelligence.

They are aware at all t imes what is transpiring onour Ear th and are in constant communication, on theinner planes of life, with other members of the Order,and of those of the subordinate planes of the Brother-hood. Nothing is hidden from them; they are alwaysaware of what is taking place and read the motives ofmankind behind the actions even before they havetaken place.

Members of the White Brotherhood who have risento the Melchizedek p lane are referred to as sons ofGod. In very ancient t imes , the first governors ofnations and races were Melchizedek priests and kings.(They a re referred to as having Divine authori ty.)They were sent by the high principle of life, the "IAM," to perform these dut ies to establ ish moral lawand order for the protection and benefit of humanity.

These members were always noble, spiritual enti-t ies and were regarded as possessing the divineauthority to so rule. Their decisions were never ques-tioned, because thei r decisions and judgmen t s werealways just .

There are many degrees, planes, or levels in t h eWhite Brotherhood. In the category of l ea rn ing forsouls seeking illumination, there are also many levels,as in our schools of the mundane or ear th ly schools.We have the lower g rades and the h igher grades ofeducation, such as high school, colleges, and universi-t ies. Likewise, the ancient White Brotherhood havethese var ious levels of advancement on the inne rplanes of consciousness. As the consciousness isexpanded, its growth covers unlimited fields of opera-tion tha t are vast in scope and dimension.

Teachers on one p lane of consciousness receivethe i r ins t ruc t ions from those of a h igher p lane ofgreater light and divine wisdom. This limitless spiralof ascension goes on and on, ever upward , ou twardinto the vastness of eternal light, for there is no end to

truth and light. Never will there be an end, for the endis ever the beginning.

Within the White Brotherhood, the plane referredto as "after the Order of Melchizedek" is the highestplane that humanity is able mortally to understand.On this plane, members know, understand, and use allthe immutable laws of life, love, and creation, righ-teously so. Its members are assigned to teach andenlighten the leaders of Earth, seers, prophets, kings,presidents, educators, philosophers, etc. They alwaysguide through inspiration, and teach and counselthose leaders in key positions with the purest of spiri-tual intelligence and divine wisdom, always pointingto the great eternal purposes of humanity's cyclicmovements. The assistance they give helps those whoseek their aid and accomplishes the greatest spiritualadvancement for humankind.

Within the White Brotherhood, there is a councilwhich is composed of master teachers of all eras oftime. Within this body of exalted, illumined beings,many decisions are formulated. As the Council looksbeyond the present into that which man of Earth callsthe future, the decisions made serve the greatest goodfor the greatest need of mankind — soul growth. Quitefrequently, when progress seems the most retarded tohuman reasoning, the Council (seeing the horizon farbeyond that which is known or visible to mortal sight)knows that this is the time when the greatest spiritualaction is taking place within the affairs of men.

This is why the Council is very careful in makingselections of men or women for key positions of trust.Only those are selected who have discharged all theirkarmic indebtedness to anyone or any race. Thus theyare not in bondage to any man of Earth and arebeyond the corruption of mortal thinking or mortalinfluence and persuasion. Those who qualify arealways just, honorable, stand on principle, and haveno fear of anything. They are properly trained andequipped with talents necessary for their duties. Thistraining might not be visible on the surface, for it wasaccomplished on the inner planes of life. They areready for the service to be rendered. They are thosewith whom the Council can work from the unseen sideof life, through inspiration, within the realms of spiri-tual consciousness. They are those who are placed invital key positions.

Wherever the voice of one of the great ones isheard, through any avenue, the values of life take on a new meaning and direction. Thus man of Earth is ableto see and understand the outcome of certain actionstaken, whenever the divine guidance of the Council isfollowed in preference to that of mortal reasoning. Itsultimate conclusions always contribute to the advance-ment of man's moral character and spiritual stature,for he has gained greater spiritual insight.

The teachings of these great divine teachers havebeen known for thousands of years. The most ancientrecords reveal the presence of these great ones in old

Chaldean times, in Egypt, and in Persia. The recordsreveal that they were always referred to as the "Broth-erhood of Mankind." They foretold tha t many of theirorder would come, and they spoke of a "master of mas-ters" who would enlighten humani ty to a far greaterdegree than those who proceeded him. He would be a high pr iest , after t he Order of Melchizedek. Theyprophesied that he, too, would be born of a woman asother grea t ones before him. He, as they, would beborn under sp i r i tua l , myst ical c i rcumstances . Hisbi r th , life, and purpose would be announced by theangelic heavenly hosts.

All members of this high ancient mystical WhiteBrotherhood are no longer inhab i tan t s of a physicalhabil iment . The vehicles these divine teachers usedwere of no earthly forms, but were of etheric bodies;therefore they were always referred to in our sacredbooks and holy writs as angels or heavenly hosts. Theyalways rad ia ted such t remendous lines of force andpower, even though they were invisible to the humaneye, tha t their influence and presence was felt unmis-takably. Only those of inherent sensitivity were able todiscern their presence. Those of lesser perception orsensitivity were unable to see or feel them.

All master teachers and great initiates are in thisMelchizedek Council. It is an eternal priesthood, but itis not after any man-made organization. This eternalpriesthood is "after the Order of Melchizedek," whichis b i r th less , ageless , and dea th less . (Heb. 6 and 7.)

Any soul t h a t was p a r t of th i s E a r t h p lane and i tsexperiences, and which reached this highest plane ofconsciousness called the "Melchizedek Order," h a sreached it through a dedicated life of unselfish serviceto God, during many incarnat ions. Asking no praise,power, or recognition, but having the inner awarenessof t he a l l -pervading, immutab le pr inciples of pu rebeing, the Christ-consciousness, the Godmind is self-realized and established.

Tha t soul, while on E a r t h , ruled his or her lifefrom the place of the "Most High" in r ighteousness .The conscious and subconscious activities were gearedto peace, love, and wisdom. That soul let the supercon-scious mind or divine mind flow unobstructed in com-ple teness . In o ther words , the re was a completesurrender to God's will, the will of good only. This isthe order tha t Jesus belonged to and ruled in as ChristJ e s u s , t h e high pr ies t forever, after t he Order ofMelchizedek. (Heb. 10:16.)

The Melchizedek Council is a most high t r u t h -reveal ing t r ibunal , the i r services and teachings arealways as "unto the one e ternal God." Knowing t h a tGod's will is the only perfect will, any assignment tha tis given to a member or a teacher on a slightly lowerplane of the grea t White Brotherhood always has a definite spiritual purpose. The reasons for this are toaid the var ious races of h u m a n i t y ra ise the i r con-sciousness level, and to develop thei r perceptions oftheir own divine, inherent nature .

All master teachers of the Melchizedek Order havepointed to the fact tha t man is a t r iune being, follow-ing the tr iune principle of life: first, man is spirit, onewith life, since there is no separation in God; second,man is a soul, in which God-mind is individualized;third, man has a house of clay, a vehicle in which heoperates, a body composed of mat ter which he uses toserve God and which he needs to prove the principlesof life as a Godman.

There a re many fine sp i r i tua l t eachers who areworking on the lower levels of the White Brotherhood,who are serving the great ones, to inspire others , topoint the way of service toward the higher regions ofwork. Members of the Brotherhood who were on theEar th plane and who now serve on the upper levels ofauthority, know the immutable Laws of the Universe.They, too, have passed every test in life, having paidall indebtedness of karma of their previous unregener-ated lives. They steadfastly and sincerely kept theirstandards high, never compromising on any principlesof life and t ru th . Their lives were dedicated to pure,unselfish service and beheld all life as God-life. It isthus they kept the "whiteness of their soul" and quali-fied to be admitted to the higher levels, or Order of theancient mystical White Brotherhood. No one can everbe a member of the White Brotherhood who deliber-ately uses any of the immutable laws for prestige orpower, for personal gain or advancement, who exploitsany m a n of E a r t h unfair ly and unjustly, who uses

deception in any form to misrepresent or confuse. If itis not of God, it is not spir i tual , therefore it is not ofthe White Brotherhood.

All master teachers of old, including those we aremore familiar with, such as Abraham, Amenhotep ofEgypt, Gautama Buddha, Confucius, Krishna, Enoch,Daniel, Jesus , Zoroaster, Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle,and many other myr iad teachers of old, as well asmany of more recent t imes , were members of t heWhite Brotherhood and shall continue to be so forever.

Who tenanted a body first? What was it tha t ten-anted a body of these wonderful teachers? It was the I AM which is the Christ-light or Christ-power of God.It has always been and shall always be the I AM orthe Christ-light of God, which spoke in every teacherwho carr ied the torch of t r u t h , even though i t wasunrecognized by those who heard them. It shall con-t inue to ever be t h a t I AM, the Chr is t - l ight of God,speaking in all teachers of the living God, yesterday,today, and in the future.

Jus t as Abraham was the Christ-light of God to hispeople, and the teacher Confucius was the Christ-lightof God to his people, Zoroaster was the Christ-light ofGod to his people, even as Gautama Buddha of Indiaand J e s u s of Nazare th were each the Christ- l ight ofGod to their people in their time.

The presiding elders of the White Brotherhood arethe Master Jesus and the beloved Gautama Buddha.They a re the pres iding elders because they are the

supreme teachers in the service of the grea t CosmicFather.

All g rea t sp i r i tua l t eachers recognize th is t rueeternal principle of the brotherhood of man, the com-pleteness of creat ion in the vas tness of life. Life iscomplete. However, man mus t first become aware ofthis completeness, and this he will do when he ascendsin consciousness enough to comprehend the vastnessof his own divinity. Very few of those who heard themessages fully understood the meaning, nor were theyable to grasp the meaning of the unity of the humanrace in the spiritual realms.

These great initiates and sages are still continuingto teach in the bright light of the oversoul of the uni-verse, known to man of Ear th as God. You will under-s tand the re is no th ing impossible for the mas te rteachers or the Council members to accomplish. Theyare those who have finished the i r t rava i l upon themundane sphere of life, having learned well how theimmutable laws operate, therefore, having no furtherdesires , the re is no necessi ty to r e t u r n in physicalhabil iment or ear thly form. This is because they arenow in a field of activity where they are of far greaterservice in the Fa the r ' s rea lm and can reach more

people th rough the v ibra tory power of love and t h econstructive energy forces of their good will in spiri-tual guidance.

There are many subordinate teachers on the lowerplanes or regions of the grea t White Brotherhood.These teachers are not to be confused with those ofMelchizedek realm. These subordinate teachers a renot immediately affiliated with the inner Council ofthe Melchizedek realm, but receive their instructionsfrom the outer Council. They are not to be held inlesser regard. This is to be understood and respectedvery clearly. They are to be regarded in their full spiri-tual importance, as they receive their instructions fortheir assigned duties from those of the outer Council,who have in tu rn received their information from theinner Council. These subordinate teachers are entirelydevoted to reaching others in love and are to be lookedupon as those in the earthly schools, teachers teaching"babes" in their various degrees of unfoldment in themat ter of the inner life of the soul. All mankind mus tbe reached in love, all are loved of God and are equalsin spiri tual inheritance. All must be awakened to theimmutable laws that govern them. There lies the workfor the laborers of the field, so that all may claim theire te rna l inher i tance , when they have mer i ted i tthrough acceptance and cooperation.

We quite often hear the statement made by misin-formed individuals on the m u n d a n e sphere of life,that, "It is impossible for the higher teachers to pene-

t ra te the denser forms of matter." There is no mat tertoo dense for any great teacher to penetrate! The onlydense form of m a t t e r which the mas t e r ' s lesson orinstructions do not penetrate is man's thinking. This isstated in love and not in any measure of destructivecriticism. It is only when m a n rejects the light oftruth, for there is no greater blindness than the blind-ness of one who will not see.

Why does the White Brotherhood have so manysubordinate teachers? All must grow, and it is for thatreason some of the ins t ruct ions are passed onto themore recently arrived souls from the Ear th plane, whohave expressed a desire to become teachers, to guideothers of the E a r t h plane, loved ones they have leftbehind, to help them understand the t rue light of God.Thus they too may enjoy the oppor tuni ty of soulgrowth and, in this manner, prepare themselves, whilethey are in the as t ra l embodiment, wait ing for theirreturn to the Ear th and mundane life, where they willagain tenant a physical body.

Many of these teachers, through their soul's desirefor greater illumination, longed to have the experienceof direct contact with the spiri tual rea lms, the innerlife. They were collaborators with the White Brother-hood. This can only come about when they have givenrecognition to the vast spiritual teachings of the Coun-cil members of ancient age. Through the recognition ofthe eternal t ru ths and light of these teachings, thesesubordinate teachers progressed in their wisdom and

When the members of the ancient mystical WhiteBrotherhood dwelt among men of Ear th in a physicalbody, it was their desire to teach man of Ear th of hist rue relationship to and with God, which is spiritual.When a member found, at the time of his leaving thebody, after his transition, tha t his work was still unac-complished, he or she continued on the inner planes oflife unt i l they had some avenue to accomplish t h i sunfinished bus iness . They would work from t h eunseen side of life through the process of inspirationdirected to a dedicated, open-minded soul free of self-ish motives; a willing physical collaborator who couldreach and influence those who needed help.

It has been erroneously said t ha t this opening ofoneself to be used as a channel, could lead to obsessionby some astral , earthbound soul. He who is dedicatedto God, sp i r i tua l and pure in consciousness, wi thunselfish motives in his thinking, has nothing to fearof any obsession. The Brotherhood will not s tand idlyby and see this happen. There is nothing to fear of thed i sca rna te soul. I t i s t h e soul still i nca rna t e in t h eflesh tha t needs to be guarded against . Like a t t rac tslike, t he m a g n e t of love a t t r a c t s love; t he forces ofhatred and contempt a t t rac t destruction in a h u m a nbeing, by focusing his a t t en t ion to it consciously orunconsciously. According to their desire and their freewill, it will be done.

These great masters and sages of old recognizeman's every good deed, kindly act, and loving wordhere in the material world. This is particularly true ofthose who have accepted the beneficence of the illu-mined, the appointed and annointed masters, andtheir teachings of the principles of life. The time hascome for seekers of the truth of being to step out of theswaddling clothes of old, worn-out concepts and theolo-gies, full of fear and superstitions which have heldthem in bondage of fear of the eternal. Man mustknow that he is free in the fullness of God and is givenfree will to choose the path in which he wishes togather the results of accumulated experiences neededto gain wisdom. He must also ever be mindful that, inthis freedom, he is always fully responsible for hischoice, to himself, his fellow man, as well as to theCreator, and that no one has the right to deny ordestroy another's right to that same freedom. Injus-tice, in any capacity, is no man's right.

One of the first steps in soul growth is the disci-plining of the emotional nature of man. Discipliningmeans learning by the application of truths learnedthrough meditation, prayers, doing, living, controllingyour actions and reaction. These lead to the purifica-tion of not only the physical centers of the body, butthe etheric centers. Man is full of many complexes,attitudes and desires based on intellectual reasoning.By continuing his dedication, he is led until the purifi-cation of the centers is accomplished and they are as

lighted candles on the altar of God. Many of thesesouls are quite frequently unnoticed among men ofEarth; they could be friends, co-workers, neighbors, orloved ones close by who are being prepared for somegreater service in the Father's house.

We have heard the term, "crashing or storming thegates of heaven." There is no climbing over the wall orcrashing of the gate, for the gate opens only to himwho has gone through the purification and dedicationof his life, having walked the path of service and love.Intellectual knowledge, wishes, and desires alone willnot do it. The spiral of love and service is an ascendingspiral ever penetrating level after level with both theinner and outer awareness of the all-pervadingessence of pure being. In modern understanding, thepassing through the gate is a breakthrough in con-sciousness, the initiation to higher levels of intelli-gence and spiritual perception.

There is only one ascension and that is the ascen-sion in consciousness. When the soul comprehends thetrue purposes of life, the controlling principles, thedivine plan of unfoldment, it is illumined, or"Christed;" the Godmind has taken full control and asPaul said, "Let that mind be in you which was inChrist Jesus." Thus man becomes a member of thegreat White Brotherhood with an opportunity forhigher growth under the Melchizedek Order. He isnow aware of his union with God, his true selfhood inthe white light of God, a radiant son, and as a son of

God he is immersed, submerged in the pure presenceof the great oversoul of life, which we call God.

Man never ceases to serve. He shall use the cre-ative laws of the universe to still troubled water, toenlighten confused thinking, heal the discomfort ofbroken bodies, remove obstacles to spiritual growth;he shall use these laws lovingly and constructivelyalways. Never, never does he use them to retard any-one for selfish reasons or gain, never for power, posi-tion, or reward, and at all times gives man theopportunity to redeem himself for his erroneousactions.

There are isolated instances when it becomes nec-essary for members of the Council, the great initiates,to return to the Earth plane of life and assume a bodyof flesh to complete special divine assignments leftundone by others, quite frequently that of a collabora-tor of the Brotherhood. They do this when it is a vitalmatter.

For eons of time, many master teachers have beenknown to make unprecedented appearances. Oftenthey arrive in unexpected places unannounced anddepart in the same manner. The body which a memberuses frequently bears the resemblance of the last per-sonality which the member used while on the Earthplane. The body is not always of the dense physicalform, but rather an etheric body, having the sem-blance of an earthly body. The body may appear at willand can be shed at will. It can seemingly disappear

from human sight only to make a reappearance whenit is needed. Each appears to a collaborator or a teacher with whom he can work, giving him the spiri-tual insight, aid, and assistance in some very out-standing endeavor for the benefit of humankind.Members of the White Brotherhood never announcetheir true identity to any one; they never speak oftheir particular service which they render, nor do theyreveal what their mission is. Silence and humility isever their watchword and their silent influence is feltby all whom they contact personally, as well as thosefortunate enough to come into the radiance of theirspiritual auric vehicle.

The members of this White Brotherhood embraceall mankind regardless of race, color, or creed. How-ever, they do not accept anyone as a teacher or a col-laborator who is allied with those who conform to thatwhich is contrary to truth, contrary to God's law. Thisis found in some earthly organizations who claim anaffiliation, yet their precepts and very actions are con-trary to God's laws of being.

Many of the members of the White Brotherhoodwalked the Earth sphere of life as we do now. They,too, have tasted of the bitter cup, as the great Gau-tama Buddha, the Illumined One, also as Confucius,the Appointed One, and our beloved Jesus ofNazareth, the Anointed One. Many of the collabora-tors who are now about the Father's business alsohave tasted of the sweet and the bitter cup; therefore

life is no longer a mystery to them. They have learnedto be tolerant, patient, and now understand the reasonfor many things and experiences. (Eccl. 7:25.)

God asks for no sacrifice; mercy is the plea of Godand the Council, mercy was the plea of all great teach-ers of their time, and they still continue to teachmercy and love. As the Nazarene said, "I ask not forsacrifice, I ask but for mercy." God is love, and, "Hewho loveth is born of God." To be born (the secondbirth) is to be sustained, carried by grace, fed by inspi-ration, led by guidance and inspired by divine spirit.

While man lives in his physical body, he is oftengiven over to strange notions. (That is the so-calleddenser side of matter.) Man never becomes perfectlyfree from the astral shell, which he builds for himselfout of every thought, word, and deed while he occupieshis time in the physical world. This astral shell con-veys him after his transition. Man, in his rebellion,clings to many of these peculiar and strange notions,contrary to truth. Therefore it necessitates incarna-tions, birth after birth (name it as you will) until atlast man becomes free from all material superstitionsand on the road where he will discard all mentalobstructions. Then he will be weaving together thethreads he gathered in the shuttle across the loom oflife, for he will be finishing the pattern of his life'srecord.

The ancient mystical White Brotherhood teachesthat man of Earth should not aspire to rank, station,

prestige, or power. All mankind should seek the onegreat asset, which is humility. Unselfishness and loveshall reign supreme without discrimination.

When men of Earth shall see other men of Earthas spiritual beings, there need never be any fear of thefuture. Even though man may be in tatters and rags,or perchance clothed in garments of wealth; yellow,black, or brown of skin; it is not the outer appearancein which man shall be interested. It is the inner spiri-tual being, the Christ power working through thatphysical body which should occupy and hold his atten-tion.

There are many men and women walking alongthe highway of life in shabby or ragged attire. Theyhave faces and hands soiled from toil, but their heartsare clean and pure. Conversely, there are those whosebodies are in silks and satins and know not that theyare in truth equal with the beggars; because theirhearts are not clean and pure. Remember and neverforget, they are all spiritual beings, children of theLiving God. Therefore let there be no discrimination.

Ever remember that members of the White Broth-erhood are always creators of good will, harmony, andlove, never strife nor deception, being advocates of theliving, radiant light of divine love. They alwaysencourage the noblest attributes in others, and theyfrequently strive to inspire man toward perfecting thespiritual growth by applying the understanding he has

and appropriating its resulting wisdom in his con-sciousness.

Quite frequently, the question is raised as to thereference of the word "White". That reference hasnothing to do with the color of the skin or to any race.It does indicate the radiance of the spiritual color ofthe soul (its aura). It indicates the pureness of the loveexpressed by the soul's divinity. The Divine wearsmany colored bodies. It is the heart which must be"white" or pure and not what we hear referred to as"black-hearted," or corrupt, no matter what the colorof the skin may be, white, or some other color.

God is no respecter of persons and in God there isno separation. Since God is both male and female inprinciple, and principle is sexless, God expresses thedivine nature of both male and female. The Council isalso a part of God, and it also makes no discrimina-tion. There are female masters just as there are male.The male members are referred to as fraters and thefemale members are sorers. In the etheric planes oflife, all members are recognized as fraters, meaningbrothers; for in the realm of pure consciousness ofspirit, the recognition is of the spirit which is sexless,thus the recognition is as equals in all attributes(Matt. 22:30.)

There is a sacred duty the sorors render to mother-hood on Earth; it is what is frequently referred to asthe Nature's Mothering principle of life, that principlewhich sustains, nourishes, and lovingly protects. The

sorors lovingly grant this service. One of the greatesttasks is in the watching over the young mothers dur-ing the gestation and the final coming forth of thebody of the babe. Also, another one of the tasks amongthe women collaborators is to minister unto the chil-dren and youth in the many organizations, institu-tions, and hospitals of the physical plane of life. Theyare always there to give aid and assistance.

The master Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place foryou, that where I am, there you may also be." Theyhave a place prepared. Each one whom they call andwho has chosen to follow the call is precious to theCouncil. There is a path of direction for each one. If itwere not so, there would be no calling of man to comeup higher to serve in the Father's mansion, the uni-verse.

Man cannot serve until there is a necessity for ser-vice. As the necessity arises, each one that they havecalled stands ready to answer the summons, spreadthe love of God wherever you can. Whatever you do, doit lovingly. Love is the greatest power in the universe,thus many experiences of life appear as what mancalls miracles. Love sent forth brought about theseeming miracles.

Love becomes a great magnetic power and drawsunto itself still greater essence of the presence of God.As the masters of old lived their portion of life servingothers as "unto God," so continue to help others to

behold all life as God's life, and they, too, shall serveas "unto God."

CHAPTER TWO

CALLING COLLABORATORS AND TEACHERS

One of the Brotherhood speaks:

Why do we, of the Council of the ancient mysticalWhite Brotherhood, wend our way back? We will nothave man floundering around in the recesses of dark-ness when there is an opportunity for us to shed light.Eventually, man must have no darkness in which tohide or scamper into, and we are referring to the dark-ness of ignorance and superstition. For back and backand back over the treadmill of life man passes until hebecomes weary of darkness, of selfishness and igno-rance and calls for enlightenment.

We, of the Council of the ancient mystical WhiteBrotherhood, over eons of time, seek and search andfind acceptable teachers, and this does not happen injust a day, week, month or year. All mankind is des-tined to serve God. Those who are to serve God in thefull measure of Divine Stewardship, are those whohave traveled across life's sands many, many times. Itis for that reason many have been called, but very fewchoose to answer that call immediately. All ultimatelywill and do answer, but it takes time.

It is always our desire to keep each individual, to a greater degree, upon their own independence. It wouldnot be a difficult matter for those of our Council toreveal in detail to you how conditions and circum-stances here on the mundane sphere of life wouldeventually come to a climax. It is our desire, moreover,that those whom we choose travel the path withoutseeing the complete picture, as it were. This results inan incentive for those called to move forward in faith,that soul will get its full reward spiritually.

However, when one who has been called, who haschosen to follow the path of love and light, finds thepath becoming a trifle darkened and we can be ofassistance, we do shed some ray of light, as it is ourduty so to do. We are interested, divinely interested,and for that reason we shall see no shadows cross thepath of those called. We shall see no obstacles remainin the path, for he or she who zealously serves God isworthy of every respect and consideration.

We are interested in teachers, teachers, and moreteachers, and we cannot find them fast enough. Thewheat fields are ready to be reaped and thrashed, andthe vines are laden with grapes ready to be garnered.We are in need of workers and there are still manywho are running the gamut, as it were, of the tread-mill of worn-out, threadbare orthodoxy.

Step by step, we shall lead you. The victor becomesa victor only when he invades the enemy's camp, par-ticularly the enemy's camp within his own thoughtprocess. We shall lead you. We read an unfinishedscroll, and we know there is much work to be done. Inthis very hour, there are many who are treading alonglife's path seeking, knocking, asking. What are theyseeking? Light! Whom and where are they seekingfrom? God! Upon whose door are they knocking? Uponthe door of the inner chamber of their storehousewhere there is a plenteous supply of God's substance.

Are they to continue to seek, continue to knock?For what are they asking? Release from strife, releasefrom the bondage of mortal chaos.

Each one of you has carried a cross, and upon thatcross has hung your spiritual body, and in that spiri-tual body you have kneeled and have called to us, yourelder brothers, for assistance, which is alwaysgranted.

Perchance there be those who have made a choiceto follow the path of light and love, in service tohumankind, and later found through impatience that

the road is too long and that the rocks, which theyhave placed in the road themselves, scarred their feet,and they no longer desire to travel that road, but seekanother. We, of the Council, never bind; we bind noman of earth.

Man is only happy when he enjoys the freedom inthat which he is doing, just as you enjoy your freedomin that which you are doing now. Should there be anyremaining rocks in your path, rocks or obstructions ofthe past, they shall become as dust beneath your feet,and you shall brush them aside quite lightly. Shouldthere be thorns or nettles of the past, which have tiredyour souls, they too shall be dissolved and no longershall you feel the hurt of their pricks. They shallbecome as ointment, or as oil of love, for you shallknow you are accomplishing another overcoming. Bindnot, dear hearts of Earth; let man live freely, let mangive freely.

As in your soul's consciousness, those of you whohave accepted the call, so you serve. Should there bethose who, on hearing the call and making the choiceto serve, as "unto God," and then because of somedesire or reason of their own, they turn to anotherroad, they shall never, never travel beyond our watch-ful eye. We do not forsake, we have no locks upon thedoor of the chamber of the Council of the ancient mys-tical White Brotherhood. It is never closed, it standsopen and he who chooses to enter, may choose to leave.

Do not bind another, and in love, you cannot bind;man, Godman, is free.

We desire that you understand fully the immensityof the task which lies before each collaborator. How-ever, it shall not be a task, it shall be a duty performedin love, and the beauty of love shall come forth as youcontinue in your paths of service.

Each one we have chosen to serve with us shallserve, after he has made his choice within his innerconsciousness to follow the light. Quite often, it takesa little time, as you call it, for man of Earth to makeup his mind, as to what he desires to do. When wemake a choice, we look beyond the present into thatwhich man of Earth calls the future. When progressseems the most retarded, that is the time when thegreatest spiritual action is taking place within.

We never become involved with mortal confusion;we know nothing of it. We are aware that man lives ina physical habiliment and is subject, to a degree, tothe environment of the mortal or physical plane. Wedo our best to enlighten him as to how he shall risefrom that portion of life's pattern he has made of hisown choosing. We never attempt to help withoutknowing that there is an end to man's mortal chaos.

All the instructions on the immutable laws or prin-ciples that we have endeavored to share with some ofour collaborators were given so that they might bebroadcast to others and reach those who need its les-son and information to solve their mortal chaos. Dis-

t ress of the physical body is an evidence of accumu-lated error, but does not, by necessity, have to remain.It can be overcome.

Man of Ear th has made this statement, "Thoughtsare things." We say, "Thoughts become things." Thusman endures for a brief season after he has placed hisfoot in the right direction upon the road of God's t ruthand abides by the immutable laws t h a t govern tha tt ruth.

We have made th is s t a t emen t , "Let there be a smile in man's voice." First, however, man must learnto smile in his th inking . For man ' s t h ink ing is evi-dence in speech, words, deeds, and acts. The Galileanunders tood this when he said, "Man l iveth not bybread alone, but by every word which proceedeth forthfrom the mouth of God."

Dear hea r t s , there is no separa t ion in God, forremember you are within tha t realm of God. We, too,are a part of God. Therefore do not look upon one withgreater favor than the other. Remember, since God isno respecter of persons, neither are we of the Council.

When you survey the scene you will find, as theNazarene, so do we make our choice from what mancalls "all walks of life." It necessitates experience; manmust have experience. Memory never dies. However,remember this and never forget it: never disturb thewaters when they are placid and cheerful to the eye bylooking back into the memories of the past, recallingold doubts , fears, unhappy experiences, permi t t ing

them to enter your thinking. Never, never look back,not even for a tiny peek, for it is as having cleansedthe room of your home thoroughly, then bringing backthe dirt and rubbish into the room and corrupting itsorder l iness . Never d raw back old k a r m a into yourmemory, lest you make new k a r m a in doing so andneed to undo that again. There is no greater peace forman 's soul t h a n hav ing lived honestly, hav ingremained true to his noble, immortal self.

We make this s tatement in love, the love of the liv-ing God. We have been interested in leading man foreons of t ime . We have m a n y collaborators t h roughwhich we reach others and a t t rac t them to walk thepath of light. We are preparing to permeate the mun-dane sphere of life with well-rounded t ru ths . Theologyis serving its purpose. It has proven to be a stepping-stone for man while t ravers ing the physical plane oflife. We have been m a k i n g these p repara t ions overeons of t ime, and now it becomes necessary for t h eushering in of the new concept for the enlightenmentof mankind. Remember our work is spiritual and notto be considered as merely religious. All mankind canapply these principles regardless of his choice of devo-tion to his God.

That which is done in accord with divine law cannever go amiss. That which is done contrary to divinelaw, regardless of what walk of life it may be, suffersits own consequences.

The morsels of truth, which the teachers haveshared unselfishly with others, have proven to be as a beacon light on a rugged coast along the way. All sucheffort has not been in vain, for as truth is shared withothers, the listener, in turn, shares it and thus theendless chain of love is formed.

There are no plans to be made for immediate pro-cedure, for remember, plans are not necessary whendesire is righteous. Plans quite often savor of misguid-ance of the unregenerated centers. You have acquiredknowledge, and the knowledge which you haveacquired has led you into the path of wisdom. Now theGodman, of which you are a part, is beginning toenfold you in the fullness of that divine principle.

We never find fault with anyone, and we makeevery allowance for mortal restlessness. In choosingour physical collaborators, we know that, in due time,mortal restlessness will be overcome. Because of thefrailty of what you have learned to call human nature,men of earth will, at times, be prone to doubt theveracity of some of our statements and predictions;therefore we make this statement lovingly: remember,faith is the substance of things (desired or) hoped for,the evidence of things not seen. Faith will attract fromthe vastness of the Cosmos, the manifestation intoreality in the physical form. Let that be your watch-word, faith.

When we, of the Council, make statements thatseem to mortal reasoning utterly impossible, have

faith, for God's law is a natural law. Experience, asyou already know, is a great teacher. It is born of wis-dom, and wisdom means success and knows no defeat.As each soul applies the lessons he has learnedthrough experience, tolerance is born. Where toleranceis, there can never be negligence. Restlessness is a mortal attribute and restlessness shall soon be forgot-ten when hands and feet become busy.

Remember, it is not who man is. It is what man is!The "who" is the mortal personality; and the "what" isthe spiritual individuality which is Godman. We, ofthe Council, always endeavor to quicken the Godmanin each soul's consciousness, through the encourage-ment of the "what" man is, and not the "who" man is.We do not give recognition to the mortal personality;we are not interested in mortal personalities. They donot interest us. Mortal personalities are ephemeraland are but figments of mental emotions, mental frus-trations, mortally so only. We are trying to make thisvery plain to you, to enlighten you, to lead you to the"what" you are. Those who are coming into the full-ness of this light are becoming attracted. Those whoare expressing their desire to be mundane collabora-tors, workers in the Father's vineyards, they areIsraelitish; meaning, willing to travel the path of spiri-tual light.

Now, let us again make a distinction between per-sonality and individuality. Personalities change; indi-viduality never changes. It cannot change because it is

the indwelling, incarnate principle of God. That ever-present, ever-prevailing power of God is individualizedin you as God in action.

Do not be unmindful of the Law of Attraction.Throughout the length and breadth of this universe,there are both men and women waiting to share theirideas and their efforts, where their ideas may becomefruitful for the cause of dedicated unselfish services tomankind.

No man is barred as a collaborator because of hisreligious belief. As man is called to become a collabora-tor and makes his choice to follow, he makes theadjustments between truth and error within his owninner being of consciousness. If he is unwilling toaccept the truth of God as the truth of God is taughtthrough enlightened teachers, he must remain the"who" of personality only, for he or she has not foundthe eternal "what" that he is. We pronounce no judg-ment and we inflict no condemnation ever, nor do weexpect to find any condemnation arising from amongour chosen collaborators. The calling of collaboratorshere on your earth plane is the only means of expres-sion we have to voice the message of the immortalityof life, which is God in action, in abundance.

We make this next statement in love. If we, of theCouncil, were to keep record or give countenance tothe paths through which our collaborators havepassed, we would be without physical collaborators.

The "what," or the spirit of man answers andmakes the choice of what he shall do and how he shallserve, always in obedience to the eternal laws of God,for he is ordained by God. That is the only ordinationthat we recognize. Whenever man is interested in lift-ing another man from sorrow or strife, regardless ofthe name of the organization with which he is allied,he is recognized by we, of the Council of the ancientmystical White Brotherhood. "Seek and you shall find;knock and the door shall be opened; ask and it shall begiven unto you." Remember, there are no closed doorsto God.

God's law is a gracious law; God's law is notmandatory. It is free and does not restrict or bind.Man has free will. Now, when we find one of the Earthwho should be about his Father's business, and wefind him at that particular progress along life's pathwhere his debts become due and payable, it is then wecall that one, and he is granted every opportunity topay all the debts of past mistakes.

Here is where the greatest tests are. Choices aremade, and if man endures his experiences of paying ofdebts, in tolerance, with wisdom, he passes spirituallythrough the gate, not over the wall, and he is then rec-ognized as a bearer of light, a messenger of light andtruth; for he is setting an example for others, throughhis integrity, his character and his path of unselfishservice. (St. John 10:1)

Only those are attracted to such services who areready and have been given proper instructions. Wehave those in our Council who are very capable ofinspiring the mundane collaborators. That is why weare very careful in making our selection for key posi-tions of trust. Though there may be a few spots on theinside of the vessel of a man (personality with its pecu-liar notions), we have the greatest scouring powder ofthe universe to scour and remove all blemishes, orspots of character.

We shall not select too many vessels, or pots withgrave blemishes in them, let us assure you. Injustice isno man's right, and he or she who claims injustice digshis own pitfall.

We shall never permit betrayal, mark you thiswell. Remember the words of the ancient sage whenhe said, "He kept the whiteness of his soul and overhim, men wept." Therefore, keep the whiteness of yoursoul. We seek to ordain shepherds for the flock, whoshall feed the sheep and His lambs. The lambs and theyearlings, we ask that you shelter against your breast.Love knows no end. Caesar has no power to defeat.What can defeat God's immutable, infinite Law ofLove?

You are familiar with the saying of old, "Comingevents cast their shadow before." The hour has beenapproaching, and it is at hand. There are many whoare now among you that are not here on the mundanesphere of life to accomplish material or physical ends.

The power of God is not to be disregarded. Man ofearth shall not desecrate his spiritual obligation, andit is indeed a spiritual obligation with the creativeprinciple of life.

Those of you who are now radiating love in youraura shall need very little help from us, as far as youindividually are concerned, but so far as the contami-nation of others in the distortion of truth is concerned,we assure you now, there we shall help you.

Life is birthless, ageless, deathless. God is birth-less, ageless, deathless. Never, never is there an end;there is no end. There is no end either physically orspiritually. There are changes, transmutations fromone form to another, but no annihilation due to theprinciple of true being. Now listen to us, please: manyof you who have been chosen have come from variouswalks of life, and that needs must be. It is better formen to have experiences traveling the path of theirown lives, each in his own way, than for us to havemade the choice of those who are traveling in but onedirection. As we have mentioned before, experience isthe greatest teacher which leads to wisdom and thataction which shall spell success and tolerance.

Listen, let us come back to God. God makes nodemands! God does not command! Your acceptance ofour fellowship with you in the ancient mystical WhiteBrotherhood, would be in this wise; to the principles oftruth, you say aye, and to error, you would say nay,and that is not by word of mouth to any one of us

invisible elder brothers, as we are frequently referredto. Then where would you say aye and nay? Ah, ourbeloved of God; within the sanctum sanctorum of yoursoul's consciousness. Your God is the one and only uni-versal God. Whether your neighbor accepts your Godwith equal measure with you or the man or womanwith whom you brush elbows while walking down thepath of life, your God remains your God, unmoved andunchanged.

Your heaven remains your heaven and your God isprinciple. Heaven is a state of consciousness and sinceprinciple cannot be changed, your God cannot bechanged.

Remember, there are no enemies. You have no ene-mies, only as in your thinking you give recognition toenmity. You cannot be held accountable for the man-ner in which your fellowman thinks. That is not yourresponsibility. If a man thinks in terms of enmitytoward you and so expresses himself and you accept it,then you become a part of the bargain of enmity, doyou not? There shall never be any need for you tobecome emotionally disturbed, only as you desire tobe. We realize that it is rather difficult for man ofEarth to endure patience. Remember, never forget, beunmindful of public opinion, but be ever mindful of thetruth of the principle of God, which never changes.Have courage; have all courage; it is a priceless trea-sure and never loses its power, for it is of God.

As a tiny seed dropped in fertile soil, so will youracts of love help and lead your fellowman "From theunreal to the real, from darkness into light; fromdeath unto immortality and life." Your acts of love willhave nurtured the seeds and they will bear fruitage.

It is always necessary to have material or physicalsustenance to carry out a well-formed desire. That isnot contrary to the law of abundance; it is within therealm of right and justice that it should be so. It is alsowell that man conform himself to the established lawsof the country in which he lives. This we do not onlyadvocate, but this we recognize as the pinnacle oftruth. However, it is unfortunate that that which manhas learned to call physical government has fallen intothe care and keeping of many unscrupulous individu-als.

Why do people become unscrupulous? Mainly forthe reason that they are young in soul growth. Thereare always those who shall cross their path, whodesire to shed the light of truth, but because of theinfancy in soul growth, they reject the truth. This doesnot become the crime, as it were, or the responsibilityof the teacher. It remains the debt of the rejector.

Remember, as spiritual teachers, you shall, in obe-dience, conform to man-made laws. As we have statedbefore, it is unfortunate that God's laws must be insubmission to mortal laws, that the laws of God maybe taught; the laws of t ruth and righteousness, theprinciples of God are a law unto themselves. Hold fast

to these principles and your ship shal l neverencounter the rocks of despair. It is blessed tha t youkeep nestled within the bosom of each one of you theoil of love. Nur tu re it. For you are placing the toe ofthe foot of your unde r s t and ing into t he pool of thevastness of the eternal cosmos. Keep the oil of under-s tanding clean and pure, so t ha t when the pillars ofthe new temple of your soul are placed, they shall notdecay or crumble.

Now, let it be understood, we do not demand minis-ters. For have we not mentioned tha t there are manymore min is te rs who walk the h ighways and thebyways of life, t h a n s t and in the pulpi t or edificesmade of stone, wood, steel and brick? Whenever a manis interested in lifting another from sorrow or strive,his love of service makes him a minister of God — yes!

In the abiding ever-present presence of the livingChrist of God, we know you who chose to serve, for asyou have crossed life's span , you have not walkedalone. The great purpose of the re turn of the teachersof our side of life to the m u n d a n e spheres is toenl ighten m a n and not to keep him in da rkness foreons of t ime. Were m a n properly t augh t , life wouldlong ago have been easier and sweeter. Chaos andstrife can never remain pe rmanen t . Man will l ea rnthat his greatest enemy is his own thinking.

We, of the Council, who are able to come back tovisit and work with m a n of E a r t h , we, too, had tolearn, you know. When we moved about on the physi-

cal plane in a physical habiliment, we were no wiserthan many of your present day teachers. Having grov-eled around in the darkness of ignorance, after depart-ing the physical coil, our first desire, upon becomingil lumined in consciousness, was to r e t u r n and he lpman of E a r t h to unde r s t and t ha t man is power andthat all power is of God.

How very fortunate it is for us , when we find col-laborators whose mortal reasoning is uncluttered fromtha t which man refers to as book learning or morta llogic reasoning. Now, when we say, "book learning," wemean erroneous book learning. For there is a properintellectual education and improper education. Sometype of education leads to a "stiff type of mind." Forsoul growth and for inner intel l igent wisdom, onemust be open to new ideas, wider fields of conscious-ness, a willingness to th ink. To know the differencebetween erroneous learning and proper learning, onemust quicken the inner consciousness and apply one-self through divine reasoning. Through reflection andproper understanding these erroneous suggestions arethen removed when they are presented to man by thenow so-called teachers in the schools.

Learn not to be gullible to er roneous teachings ,and learn to separate in your thinking the wheat fromthe chaff. This is what we are interested in doing. Weare interested in tear ing apar t the hidebound teach-ings of theology, not only of theology, but of all other"ologies" who seek to mislead men of Ear th .

Due to the ignorance of the greatest law of life,which is the law of God, man fails to understand hisfellowman. The word "Lord" in your Holy Writ shouldbe law, for the Lord of God is, in reality and in truth,the law of God. It is not the physical being as is com-monly accepted by the orthodox individual because ofthe mistranslations.

We are endeavoring to leave with you not one wordor thought of negation. It is our desire, as it is yourdesire, for you to remain free, unencumbered by mor-tal limitation, and so shall it ever be. When theappearance of adversity besets man, he shall recognizethe fact that it is the working out of a debt which hasbeen incurred in a past incarnation. But when it ismet in love, tolerance and patience, the debt is wellpaid and the balance is never found wanting. This isthe working out of God's law, divinely so.

We shall continue to speak of love, for love is thepower that keeps the universe in motion. As manmoves along the path, each adversity he meets is butthe balancing of the scale of life, and it cannot provedetrimental. Where it is met with love, it attracts love,and its opposite attracts or begets its own.

We, of the Council, must acquaint man with thefact that the law of God must be lived to the letter anduntil that time he must continue to struggle with him-self. Can the blind lead the blind? Some try, and bothfall into the pit together. We are interested only inlight, only one light, and that is the light of life. Apply

yourself, and you shall never have any regrets becauseof deception.

Jesus of Nazareth expressed it this way, "By theirfruits, ye shall know them." Ye shall. Whenever seek-ing light and wisdom from some teacher or collabora-tor, meet him with a blessing. Meet him with a freeand open channel of thinking, but always with a bless-ing, and you shall be able to know and understandwhether the wine which comes forth shall be of thesweet grape and not the wine of the decayed, impureor improper grape. We trust that we have been able tomake this very clear to you.

You remember the statement, "Test the spirit andsee if it is of God." This statement has been misinter-preted by the theologians meaning to test the discar-nate spirit. There is to be no fear of discarnate spirit.The spirit referred to that is to be tested, is the spiritwhich yet has residence on the mortal coil.

Man is incapable of recognizing any master untilhe first recognizes the master within himself. Manmust first come into the consciousness and realizationthat he is master over all error, and then better shallhe behold the masters as they present themselves tohim.

May we refer to the statements that you heararound Christmas time, "Peace on Earth; goodwill tomen." The proper statement is in this wise, "Peace onEarth toward men of goodwill — God's will." How cana man of ill will recognize peace? How can one who

has not reached self-mastery recognize the mas te rwho comes in his pa th? Is th is not common senselogic? Is this reasonable or unreasonable to you?

The time has come when with the lowly Galileanyou will say, "My kingdom is not of this Earth. ThoughI am in the world, I am not of it. I and the Father areone." Mind you, the humble Galilean was not referringto himself as he was accepted, as an identity, a physi-cal being with the masses or the throng. When he said,"I," the identity he was referring to was the I AM ofGod. Therefore, in t r u t h , when he spoke, when hesaid, "I AM the way...", l isten dear hear ts , "I AM theway, the t ru th and the light of life. I AM and you as allmen of Ear th are a part of the I AM of God."

As physical collaborators, you assume no burdenas you continue your Israelitish trek into the fullnessof the brightness of the white light of the Great Over-soul. Call it God; call if Cosmic Consciousness; call itwhat you will; for he who in righteous desire, singleshis path to the Father 's house, is an Israelite, a trav-eler along the path of light toward God.

Now some may feel t ha t we are r a the r part ial tot h a t which we call the Holy Writ. Wha t can manu n d e r s t a n d of t h a t which G a u t a m a Buddha wrote,Confucius wrote, Aristot le wrote, Zoroaster wrote,when they do not understand that with which they arefamiliar, namely, the Old and the New Testament ,called the Holy Writ? All mank ind is worthy of sal-vaging, in spite of his rebellion and rejection of the

light. What better way is there to salvage men than by

showing them the light of the book tha t they are now

reading and do not unde r s t and? Then they can be

taken to Buddha , to Confucius, and all t he o ther

teachers of ancient age, who are now members of the

ancient mystical White Brotherhood. These searchers

of t r u t h and light shall then compare the teachings

and say within their inner knowing, "Now tha t I have

the understanding of the Holy Writ, I do not find any

different in tha t which heretofore I condemned as null

and void."

Would you enjoy telling the story of t r u th and, in

so doing, would you be happy in reaching forth your

hand to your fellowman and in t r u t h s ta t ing, "Come

up higher, you are my brother , you are my sis ter?"

Now, mind you well, we are not advocating proselytiz-

ing. How shall you tell the story of t ruth? Well, as you

walk along life's path, you shall continue to meet, as

you a l ready have met , those who are footsore and

weary of traveling the path of darkness. As shepherds,

lovingly lead them.

When the opportunity arises, you will tell them the

story of the t rue light of life. For remember the words

of the sage of ancient age, who said, "When the stu-

dent is ready, the teacher will be provided." Would you

become a teacher? Then remember the following:

"Would you know life abundant?

Love doubles for all you give

There is a means no surer,

Than helping someone to live."

And from the pen of another ancient sage fell these

words:

"Enjoying each other's good, is heaven begun."

Your dedication shall not become a task, for God

imposes upon no man of Ear th a task. It shall become

a joyous, happy duty. Remember t ha t , "The light

which is placed upon a hill lighteth the city wherein is

the hill." This shall be an eternal benediction of God,

may it grow as you desire it to grow. Love knows no

end and Caesar has no power to defeat. What can

defeat God's immutable laws of love?

This is our benediction: Go forth, rejoice and prove

to the blind of faith, the dumb of faith, t h a t God is.

Bless each one, each worker, and as God's eye is on the

sparrow, God's eye is upon each one of his beloved col-

laborators. Go forth, not in physical power alone, but

with divine power, your divine power, and you shall

find tha t if you truthfully seek, the door shall remain

open because you have zealously knocked. It is

granted unto you because in r ighteousness you have

asked. So mote it be, "world without end."

QUICKENING THE MASTER SPIRIT WITHIN

A member of the Council speaks:

In the ever-living presence of God, there is no death.

Memory holds its cherished reflections,

Love is eternal destiny.

Ah love, which never perishes; life which has no end,

God, the ever-living presence

His love does every broken heart mend,

His light makes bright, the places dark

Where man is prone in doubt to wander.

His rod, his staff, they comfort give

His love, the healing waters.

With your inner knowing, be a t tent ive . We haveone great desire; one great desire have we, and that isto quicken the master spirit within you, so tha t at allt imes you shall be aware of peace. Be calm, and nomischief of the mortal mind can cause you to becometurbulent. Be at peace, and know tha t all is well.

We shall never misguide you, have faith. God is noturbulent sea and never shall be. Though the din andconfusion of mortal mind be heard on every hand, youshall know nothing but peace. You shall see the lionand the lamb eating straw together and you shall thechild playing at the hole of the asp. Though the fireshall come forth from the mouth of the serpent, it shallspell but one word for you: peace.

For truly now and henceforth you can say, "ThoughI am in the world, I am not of it. I and the Father areone." You shall be the ambassadors of the new orderamong peoples of the Ear th . All peace shall be yours,for you shall learn to make your own peace.

You shall never encounter stormy weather, for youshall create your own weather. Though the clouds inthe sky obscure the b r igh tness of the sun, i t shallshine in your hearts . You shall never use the attributeof Peter but to deny tha t of error, for you shall use theregenerated Peter, through faith in God, yourself andyour fellowman.

You shall at last come into the perfect realizationof the words of the psalmist of old when he said, "He

who dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High,shall abide under the shadow of the almighty."

There shall be those who will not agree with you,and t h a t is to be expected. The man or woman whoplaces his foot on the highway of spi r i tual progressand dares to travel it with no longer a desire to be loston the road of fundamenta l supers t i t ion , is a lwayscriticized and ridiculed. Never has an individual leftthe beaten path to seek light and t ruth, but what theunde r s t and ing in his soul's consciousness ha s beenmistaken for some manner of fanaticism on the par t ofthose who are yet satisfied to be led by those who seethe light in no greater brilliance than the ones theyare leading.

Never fear to s tand for t ru th . Speak it when it iscalled forth from you and until tha t moment, remainsilent. How shall you remain silent? In prayerful med-i tat ion. Should your pa th cross with one whom youknow is groping in the darkness to the disadvantage ofhis soul's growth and his physical and material well-being, pray with him.

Man never prays for another; man always prayswith another. You may say to me, "How do I know ifthe one in whom I am in teres ted is praying?" Haveyou ever had a hope of something good? Have you everhad a heartfelt earnest desire for something good tot ransp i re in your life? If you have, t h a t is a form ofprayer. What man-made society calls low, degraded,wretched creatures , as wretched as they may be, a t

some t ime or other in the i r seeming wretchedness ,they find themselves saying, "I wish, I t rus t , I hope,thus and so, thus and so." tha t is a form of prayer, andall prayers meet.

Remember, dear hearts , though all may not agreeas to the orthodox form of prayer, yet even an individ-ual who is steeped in the fundamenta ls of orthodoxtheology, prays what to him is an earnest prayer, andall prayers meet.

Now, your prayers ut tered in understanding, sentforth to the living God in the tabernacle of the holy ofholies, your prayers shall lift the prayers of others. Donot cease to pray.

Should you meet one who is discouraged with life,whether it is by beholding his countenance or by hisexpressions, if you can do nothing else, reach for hishand, and place your other hand upon his hand. Andas you hold it, silently, fervently, and effectually say,"Come up higher, my brother, come up higher, my sis-ter." Silently say, "You are now in the presence of God,and you are now, though mentally distressed in souland spiri t , s tanding in the tabernac le of the Host,before the table of plenty, and your grief, we place onthe golden platter." Do it silently, silently.

A firm handclasp wi thout a word ment ioned, a firm handclasp extended and rendered in love isprayer, a most effectual prayer. Remember, a handextended is expressing outwardly the love and peace ofthe indwelling God. Never, never fear to clasp a hand.

There is a disastrous superstition among many peopleand among some ancients, tha t in accepting the handof another, there is a possibility of contaminating one'sau ra . There is only one possible m a n n e r in whichman's a u r a may become contaminated , and t h a t i sthrough thinking. Thoughts become living things.

What happens to the countenance when a man isthinking in terms of love? The eyes sparkle and. twin-kle as the s t a r s at n ight . The face beams with theradiance of the sun, and the voice sounds as many rip-pling brooks. That is prayer.

Thoughts of anger? Thoughts of anger a re bu t a perver ted form of prayer. Had you ever though t ofthis? Why does man speak with contempt and vicious-ness? For the reason that he has been storing up in histhinking, all manner of thoughts contrary to t ruth. Letthe occasion present itself, and tha t which has beenstored up comes forth.

Such are those who are still wait ing in the outercourt of the holy tabernacle. It is well t ha t you havefound them there, for they are desirous of entering thetabernacle. Truly, Paul was right when he said, "Now I see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. WhenI was a child, I spake as a child, I thought as a child.Now t h a t I am become a man , I have laid aside allchildish th ings ." Many are they, who a re numberedamong adults here on your mundane sphere, who areyet infants in their reasoning.

As messengers sent forth, you have a great duty toperform. You shall enjoy doing it, for the love to per-form a duty, never makes of the duty a task. Mind youwell, dear hea r t s , reformation shall not come in anhour, a day or a week, nor a month or a year. Neverbecome disheartened. You shall accomplish much asyou travel along life's path.

Should it be so ordained, as it is among some ofyou, that when you lay aside your earthly coil with nolonger a desire to ever again choose another earthlycoil, you still serve; there is no death . And to thosewho are in spiritual t ru th and are unable to clear therecord now, in this present physical journey, they shallbe able to choose another body and pick up the threadswhere they have dropped them here.

Remember, and never forget, though the massessay it is untrue and it does not exist, I say to you with-out fear of contradiction: man has always tenanted a habiliment of flesh and shall continue to do so, untildesire has taken him into the oneness and he becomesnumbered with the Council of the ancient mysticalWhite Brotherhood. Unseen to human eye, and fromthe Council, he shall be able to touch men of Ear th ,through passing his message on, through those whohave reached the secret place of the Most High.

Now, remember, as you go forth to meet groups ofpeople t ha t you are to meet, you are going to renderthings asunder . You, in t u rn , shall be torn asunderwith criticism, but let i t not worry your hear t . For

there is not a teacher who went forth to teach t ru th ,but tha t he met someone who did not unders tand thet ru th spoken, and viciously condemned the teacher oftruth. You understand this, do you not?

Then go forth with the protection and glory of theliving God, and you shall not fail. Those who shall con-demn you through misunderstanding, what have youdone to them? You have implanted a seed which some-time must grow; it shall not perish.

Keep to the principle of t r u th and never deviate,regardless of circumstances. In so doing, there can benothing but ultimate success in whatever you at tempt.That is t rue humility. Always remember the word ofthe Galilean, "Of yourself, mortal ly so, you do noth-ing." Ne i the r does any m a n of Ea r th ; bu t i t is t h eindwelling Father expressing. How? Through the mas-ter spiri t wi thin the secret tabernacle in the upper-most pa r t of the brain , the pineal gland, the holy ofholies, through the perfect submission of the mortal tothe spiritual.

Remember, dear hearts , your physical eyes are theonly eyes through which God can now see. Your physi-cal feet are the only feet through which God can walkto carry the message. Your physical hands are the onlyhands through which God can accept and give (we arenow speaking of physical possessions, when we makethat statement.) For God gives and receives unto him-self, and you are a part of tha t God.

As you extend your hands and hearts in the love ofGod to receive, and as you extend your hands in bless-ing, the indwell ing God is extending th rough yourhands and anoint ing others with the benediction ofHis eternal blessing. Is this clear to you? God is not faroff; God is indwelling. O t h a t man of Ea r th , at longlast, could learn this lesson to be truth.

Truly, then shall the sword of wra th be sheathed,and the lion and the lamb would eat s t raw together,and the child would play in peace and contentment atthe hole of the asp.

In the pas t , as you call the past , we have heardsome of you make this statement, "Why have so manystarted out on the path to teach, to promote brother-hood, universal brotherhood, and have never broughtit to fruition?" That was a desire expressed, whetherthey were mindful of it or not. T ha t very quest ionplaced on the ether waves of time, s tar ted action andit came back, back, and back again, into the i r con-sciousness.

At last, we, of the Council, were able to make con-tact with them. Why did they question as to the fail-ure or seeming failure of others? Why did thisquestion arise in your thinking and tha t of others? Foronly one reason, dear hearts . Again, as you refer to thepast, ages back, you, as they, were singled out by theCouncil of the ancient mystical White Brotherhood oftruth. When the clarion call within your hear t intonedits message, they, as you, lovingly responded.

Can love be overlooked? Can graciousness which isexpressed without any expectation of reward be disre-garded? Ah, nay, nay. It is the expression, belovedones, of the grea t white l ight of the living God. Godcannot be denied eternally. He who denied God inyesteryear must , at last, come into full and completerecognition of t h a t which he has denied. He whodenies God, in your today, shall live to recognize int ruth tha t which he denies today.

Hence, many of our m u n d a n e collaborators andteachers, bear the torch of freedom before the counte-nance of those who, in yesteryear said, "I have no timefor it; it is not so; it cannot be." The torch of t ru th inthe countenance of those of today, shall be reflected inthe lives of o thers , who in the tomorrows, as youunderstand tha t term, shall bear the torch of light intheir countenance to those who are denying the livingGod today.

Your labors shall never cease, never, dear hear ts .Remember, (if we may use t h a t t e rm in the grea tscheme of life) rebirth is the salvation of man, and youare playing a most intricate part . Therefore, be faith-ful, be faithful.

Be mindful, dear hearts , in every life, there comesan hour. In many cases where i t has occurred, yousought and sought diligently. Unselfishly, you sought.An ea rnes t desire and an ea rnes t p rayer a lwaysreceive an answer. Like at t racts like. It cannot be oth-erwise, and though, in the past, you may have encoun-

tered, from time to time, a deception here and a decep-tion there , you did not forsake your God. Tha t bearsits recompense, mind you. Go forth! Spread your seeds of love, for they arefalling on fertile soil, and the waters of kindness shallcarry them into the soil. All around you, shall you seethem spring forth as fields of wheat , and they shallgrow, and the heads shall be full. They shall r ipen,and you shall go forth and reap the ha rves t . Manyshall there be who shall go forth with you, for youshall not garner the field alone.

INVOLUTION OF SPIRIT ANDEVOLUTION OF MATTER

We desire to give all our instruction in simplicity;to make our s ta tements as concise, informative, andins t ruct ive as possible. Therefore we endeavor andwill continue to endeavor ever to tear aside the veil orcurtain of superstit ion. Man of Ear th asks questionsfor only one reason: because he has become steeped inearly supersti t ions and erroneous teachings. It is fortha t reason we quite often refer to the Holy Writ withwhich man in the present era is familiar.

It has been the guideline, and therefore we haveever endeavored to properly in te rpre t for him t h a t

One of thequestions we hear man of Ear th ask is this, "If life hasalways been complete and man and his Creator areone in all aspects of life, why was it necessary for manto make that long trek through the many paths of life,the many incarnat ions with its many experiences ofhear tb reak , only to eventual ly seek his way backthrough the jungle of illusions, back to the oneness ofthe Father?"

It is for the reason that man, as man is understoodto be, desired to be here. Man did not desire to be orlive in imperfection, however. In your Holy Writ, thereis the story of the fall of man, do you remember? Also,there is the first murde r (if we may use t h a t term)man has recorded: Cain slaying Abel. This is the firstrecorded murder, and we do not like to use this termas man of Ear th does.

Now, of wha t sum total or composite is man, oftha t which God created? Out of t ha t which God cre-ated, wha t did God make? You will r emember t h a tGod created first and then made. And that which Godcreated was good, was it not? Could God have madeevil out of that which is good? Some of you might rea-son that the five senses have misinterpreted the truth,and man lost his way, but how and why do the fivesenses misinterpret and create that which man todayrecognizes as evil?

Now, the master Jesus said, "In my Father 's houseare many mansions." Is this mundane sphere of life

tha t you are living in the only inhabited par t in theFa the r ' s house? There are many p lane t s t h a t areinhabited and that is t ruth. Now, all creation was cre-ated by God, in the beginning, as well as in the final-ity. However, as t h a t which God made , out of t h a twhich he created, through tha t which man knows asthe process of evolution, the physical form did notkeep in rappor t wi th the involution of the soul orspirit. Therefore it became a denser form of the cre-ation of tha t which man knows as the beginning, andtherefore the error took place.

It is this which was referred to in the Scriptures asthe "fall of man." It was not because Eve handedAdam an apple. Sometimes it is referred to as the warin heaven. Tha t is well, bu t ever r emember t h a theaven is a s ta te of consciousness. Some erudi teearthly teachers would say tha t it is at this point the"mind was split." Let us correct such apprehension forthe mind was never split , for there is bu t one mindand tha t is the mind of God, which is perfect mind, ofwhich m a n is the perfect par t , spi r i tual ly so, but ,regrettable to say, he is not using it.

Now as tha t which God made out of tha t which Hecreated became a denser form of that which man nowcalls matter; may we repeat, the involution of the soulbecame re tarded and therefore could not radia te i tsperfection to its fullest extent through that which Godmade out of that which He created. That was the bat-tle in consciousness.

Man is fur ther deluded to believe, and t h a t isregretable to state, tha t heaven is a state or place geo-graphically reached, which is not true.

The separa t ion in consciousness would give i tsappearance as a separation, but in reality, it would bea separation as if in par ts or levels, and this is whatwe are endeavoring to do, to bring all par ts or levelsback into oneness.

For the mas t e r J e s u s said, "As in heaven, so inEarth." But the translators said, "As in heaven, so ONEarth." In one of our earlier lessons, we said tha t thephysical body was of the Ear th earthy.

Man is not of the three dimensional world. He is ofthe fourth dimensional world. The fourth dimensionalworld is the creative power of all tha t is and of whichman is the most intricate part thereof. It is where theunion of will and love t ake place; it is the weddingfeast of Cana, where the water was turned into wine;and it made them merry, did it not?

What happens when the involution of the soulkeeps in rappor t wi th the evolution of the physicaltemple? There mus t then be perfection in the flesh,mus t there not? It is the t u r n i n g of the wha t intowhat?

In the story of the wedding of Cana, even as it isna r r a t ed in the present day Holy Writ, does i t notstate that as the Galilean turned the water into wine,i t created no destruct ion? They became happy andfeasted, did they not?

Therefore then, when man gets back upon the path(if we may use t h a t term) of spiri tual realization, ofrealizing his oneness with the perfect creative powerof the universe , the involution of his soul continuesand eradicates all imperfection from the flesh templewhich has been brought about by that which man calls"error."

And for the want of teaching m a n something oferror, the earl ier theological body of the theologianscreated an entity which they called by name, a devil.

They conceived him with horns, cloven hooves, a tail and a pitchfork, is tha t right? Then they created a fiery abyss, placed him in the fiery abyss, to reignthere forever. That is mythology.

Now, you erase the letter "d" from the word devil,and you have the t ru th of the existing devil or satanicmajesty, if you please. It is "evil", and when man con-tinues to practice evil, it is because he thinks evil first.You cannot practice good or t ru th until you have firstthought it. Nei ther can you practice any th ing unt i lyou have first thought it. Therefore, the great myth,the great fable of theology, the devil, having walkedtoo far to the edge, because he was angry with Godand, in his anger, he fell from heaven to Ear th , andthen to t h a t place created for him called Hades orHell; tha t is all mythology.

It is the descent in consciousness. Now let us rea-son in this wise: We will accept, for the sake of proof toour statement, tha t your orthodox theologians are cor-

rect in saying that man of Ear th can be saved from hissins. We shall accept that temporarily, if tha t is possi-ble. How is this brought about?

Man listens to the fiery-tongued theologians, theevangelist , the pilgrims of God and the i r fiery ser-mons, many of which are based on fear, changes histhinking and therefore, he has become "saved." Is thiscorrect?

Let us come to t ru th . Does it necessitate a silver-tongued orator, or does it take a fiery-tongued theolo-gian to teach the truth? Is it necessary for the teacherof t r u t h to pain t a beautiful picture of heaven withcherubims and seraphims flying about and opposite toit, pa in t a picture of t h a t which he calls hell , withcrackling embers, fire and brimstone?

The teacher of t r u t h pa in t s no such picture! Yett ruth teaches man to change his thinking. Thus man,Godman, comes back on the path of involution of thesoul (soul's growth in progress) , t h u s evolving thephysical temple and bringing it into rapport and unitythrough the process of evolution. Because of the evolu-tion, the constant and continued growth of the soulbrings the flesh temple, "that which God made out oftha t which God created," back upon the pa th of tha twhich theology calls r igh teousness , or r igh t use ofmind consciousness. Now is this unde r s t andab le toyou?

There is only one heaven out of which to fall, andtha t is when man degrades himself in consciousness,

mind you tha t well. For as a man liveth in conscious-ness, in t ru th , and in honor, so he shall live in Ear th ."As above, so below." As he lives in heaven, in Ea r thhe rad ia te s t h a t to his fellowman. Therefore in ourinstructions, we have admonished you: never prosely-tize.

Let your light so shine tha t your fellowman shallsee it. Do not place your light under a bushel. Remem-ber when the Mas te r said, "And I, if I be lifted up ,shall draw all mankind to me." He was referring to theascension of consciousness, into the infinite light, orthe I AM.

The one who lives in t ru th does not find fault withhis neighbor or his fellowman. The one who lives int ru th is not given over to s lander or gossip. The onewho lives in t r u t h , when he shares his love and hisear thly goods, seeks no glory for it. Thus his fellow-man says, "How can they do it? What do they possessthat makes of them such very singular individuals?

Thus the neighbor, the fellowman, shall seek toknow more about you and your philosophy of life. Thusthe so-called hidden mystery of his brother is revealed:humility, humility, humility. The Nazarene knew, forhe said, "Let not the r ight hand know wha t the lefthand doeth." There is another age-old statement, "It ish u m a n to err; i t is divine to forgive." These are notjust coined words; they are definite, positive, accurate,deliberate statements of t ruth.

As we pass among you, (though we are unseen tohuman eye) we hear many say, "It is difficult to live asa student or a seeker of truth." Well, it may so appearto some that it is difficult, but beloved, it is not diffi-cult. Remember, all that which you now possess whichlends to your comfort, physically speaking, and per-mits you and others indulgences not enjoyed by manyof your fellowman; these comforts and possessions arenot just an accumulation of this incarnation; they arethe reward of every good you have done as you havecrossed life's sands.

That is why individuals have crossed your path.Where you could share and as you have wisely andlovingly shared, you have multiplied your good. Inevery life's pattern, the bread that is cast upon thewaters of life, in love, unselfishly, shall return to thegiver or the one who cast the bread. For every good,there is a goodness, and for every goodness, there isanother good. And for every good there shall comeanother goodness. Love begets love; goodness begetsgoodness.

That action and its equal attraction is the involu-tion of the soul in rapport with the evolution of thatwhich is known as physical body and its environmentand circumstance. When the involution of the soulbecomes retarded, there is evidence of stagnation ofthe physical body and its environment and circum-stances, for progress shall never spell mortal retro-gression. Does this sound reasonable to you?

Therefore it is wise for man to remain close to God,for the kingdom of God is in man's consciousness.Where God is, heaven is, and every pure, clean, white,bright, happy, harmonious thought is an angel inheaven.

As man creates angels and sends them forth outinto that which man knows as the universe, thereshall return to him the manifestation of what he sentout. Remember, "As above, so below. As in heaven, soin Earth."

A prayer of comfort, a prayer of peace, a prayer oflove is an angel, dear hearts, a loving protecting angelin God's heaven.

CHAPTER FIVE

FIRST REQUISITE: KNOW GOD AS PRINCIPLE

The ancient mystical White Brotherhood advocatesbut one principle, the unification of all men of Earth,regardless of religion, color, race or creed. Many arethey who understand this principle and the working ofthe ancient mystical White Brotherhood, for it is nosecret.

When man of Earth meets man of Earth for thetrue spiritual value of man, which is Godman, there isno disappointment. We are endeavoring to help you.Man of Earth must see the Christ-light, the God-lightin his fellowman, regardless of the rank, station, or

power physically attained. There is only one rank, onepower and one prestige in life, and that is spiritual.

Man of Ear th cannot believe in two powers or twoforces. He cannot believe in God and mammon, for hewould love the one and ha te the other. There is butone source, the source of God. You may say and be jus-tified in your thinking and saying, "What about thosewho man meets who may be evil in their thinking?"But, you are not going to meet evil; remember that allmen are created equal.

In those who are considered by society as a greatevil, there is a part of the Christ power of God, but notso expressing. Remember, those of you whose masterspir i t is a l ready awakened, and who recognize thegoodness of God and the creat iveness of God, youbehold everyone you see as children of the living God.

Learn to say and learn to mean it, "The Christ inme beholds the Christ in you." Therefore in this man-ner, you are annihilat ing tha t which is referred to asevil. You are beholding the good and meeting the good.To behold is to take hold of and cling to. Remember,the goodness in you cannot become a part of any evil(should it appear so to express) , only as you see orexpress it in your th inking. Man can only become a part of that which he visualizes in his thinking. There-fore as man's mortal thinking becomes pure and ele-vated, so becomes his subjective thinking and his life'spath , which becomes subject to beauty, goodness, tohealth, spiritual riches, and prosperity.

It is deplorable, but nevertheless true, tha t mortaleducation quite frequently re ta rds the expression ofspiri tual growth. What are we trying to tell you? Goforth to find the rad ian t principle of the Christ , andyou shall bring illumination to those who have not yetfound their way.

If the power tha t man calls God were to discrimi-na te in recognition of mor ta l achievement , the rewould be no progress. Go forth, and let all your meet-ings be wi th the God-Man or the Chr is t -Man. Thehumble soul (as man unders tands humbleness) radi-ated the Christ-light to a greater degree than he whowalks through marble halls and crystal palaces in tha twhich man calls life, expressing the ego of his tempo-ral personality, s t r u t t i n g with self-importance.Remember, humil i ty accomplishes more t h a n t h a twhich swords, bullets, gunpowder, and bombast willever be able to accomplish.

Mortal man must, be reeducated from tha t whichhas been destructively perceived by the five physicalsenses before he can be a pure vessel through whichthe superconscious, or Godpower, can express. It is notcomplicated; as the Nazarene said, "As a man thin-keth, so is he."

Take yourself a handful of mixed seed and scatterit broadcast over a plot of ground, and it will br ingforth blooms of various hues . Each color shall blendwith the other unt i l you have a ver i table blaze ofbeauty. Man, supposedly the highest creation of God,

is in disagreement one with the other because of thedifference of the color of his skin, ou tward appear-ances. Man discriminates between one and another,because of what he calls education, degrees of socialstanding. "Be ye therefore not given over unto appear-ances, for h a t h not God wr i t t en His law in thei rhearts?"

God does not discriminate, and man is God's cre-ation; when man realizes he is God's creation, he, too,has no discrimination. Remember, it is the Divinityyou are seeking in all mankind. Any channel that theDivinity expresses itself through is the lesser of thetwo. All are worthy of respect, mind you, but the chan-nel is never to be deified. There is only one deity, thedeity of God.

"Unto God" let all your errands be, and "Unto God"shall you succeed. When you encounter s t ray sheepseeking to en te r the fold th rough the doorway (thepa th of dedication to God through purification ofmotives), and not over the wall (meaning not wishingto pay the price of the effort and disciplines, nor theprice for past disobedience of God's law), it would beneedless for we, of the Council, to say, "Be kindly tothem." When stray sheep desire to walk the path oflight, they are uncomfortable in self-delusion and soseek the l ight of unde r s t and ing . Take them by thehand and say, "You are my brother; you are my sister;come up higher, come up higher." Silently or audibly, it

matters not, but say it with a smile in your voice andin your countenance.

Religious forms are beginning to wear themselvesthreadbare and finally come to their native nothing-ness; man is becoming responsive to the spiritual sci-ence. Man must learn to share the t ru th with othersbefore he can qualify to become a teacher of t ruth, andhe does th is by shar ing . We are not speaking ofear thly accumulat ions; we are speaking of spir i tualknowledge, shar ing the unders tanding of the knowl-edge you have, sharing the unders tanding of the wis-dom you now have. In shar ing it with someone lessfortunate than yourself, you will then see the changein your life.

You are seeking spiri tual i l lumination; seek it toshare it and enlighten the path of another. The lightshed into your path, does it not become an edificationto your soul? Be that beacon light to others. We of theCouncil of the ancient myst ical White Brotherhoodshall never interfere with man's exercise of his freewill. Always feel free to speak and act as your con-science directs.

However, there is a manner in which man shouldbe very cautious in "getting things off his chest", suchas t h a t which is es tabl i shed in man 's th inking, forman's thoughts are powerful in their own right. Butwhen thoughts are pu t into action, they ga the rmomentum, and while they may be well understood tothe one who mentions them (also the manner in which

they are mentioned), they are not always understoodwith the same weight by the one on whose ears theyfall.

Therefore it behooves man, as we have frequentlysaid, to speak with a smile in his voice. We have earswhich are no longer physical, and we listen, not onlyto your audible words of the thoughts you have, but wealso look at the thought before it is put into words.From its color, we know its intended purpose.

My dear, beloved collaborators, the day is not toofar hence when you shall see the color of thought .When that day dawns, as holding a sieve in your mor-tal hands, separating wheat from the chaff, as the pre-cious wheat drops through, you shall look at the chaffand say, "Well, this once held the precious kernel ofwheat . It is all a pa r t of the pa t t e rn and I am notgoing to discard it. I will make use of even the chaff."

There h a s never been, and never shall be, a thought so discolored and so distorted but wha t lovecan bring it into its proper radiance.

As a student progresses on the path, his thoughtsbecome more powerful, but tha t power does not affectanother until it is delivered in speech. It is tha t withwhich we are concerned, for you will remember, andthis may be a crude i l lustrat ion, "Water runs freelyover a greased plank." Therefore the plank which isgreased with understanding never absorbs the water.

Often, man 's unde r s t and ing is not qui te as faradvanced as he thinks it is. Often man speaks a trifle

hast i ly and after he h a s made cer ta in s t a t e m e n t s ,there is a possibility of a season of regret. In makingthis s t a t emen t , we are not us ing a lash , nor do wewish to appear to be chiding. We are interested in butone thing: our purpose is to lead each one of you ontothe lighted path. When we can no longer lead you intothe l ight, we s tand still and wait unt i l t he l ightbecomes recognized, and we know when t h a t h a staken place. It is then we again reach forth and say,"Come, you are now ready for the next step."

We do not know the word "discouragement", norwhat it means, for we have that to encounter all alongthe road. Discouragement is of the mortal and we haveleft tha t on the mortal plane long ago. Remember, asthe Galilean has said, "If I be lifted up, I shall draw allmankind unto me." All mankind, not one, not many,but all mankind.

When some of you passed through the gate whichleads to the hear t of the great bright light of the uni-versal soul's cosmos, we said to you, "Feed the sheep ofthe pas tu re ; hold the young lambs to your bosom."Within your soul's consciousness, in silence and sacredreverence, your "yea" was "yea," and unto the mortalyour "nay" was "nay," and so it remains, and so it evershall be.

Let this not appear as s t rangeness , this tha t youare about to do, for in the divine plane, the re is nostrangeness. That which man calls strangeness is butseparating the wheat from the chaff in consciousness.

The chaff is not wasted; be mindful of the sieve, for theripe wheat, as it falls through the mesh, is saved toplant in the fields of the living God, that it may springforth. Remember, each tiny kernel of wheat bringsforth a number of kernels, and each life devoted to theservice of God brings forth many souls into the light oftruth.

Know God as principle; then ye, too, may be fishersof men. For you are the kernels of wheat in the greatfield of Christ endeavor. You are the tiny acorns, andremember, the acorn becomes the oak, and on itsbranches nestle birds that build their nests and raisetheir young, and beneath its branches the weary way-farer rests and finds comfort. Each one has his ownindividual life to live, individual in the heart of God.

You will be mindful we have always endeavored toseparate the mixture of personality and the individu-ality of man. Individuality is God in action; the per-sonality takes on the reflection of environment of thephysical. Let us go back to the sieve, the wheat andthe chaff. The chaff is never lost.

Orthodox theology speaks of salvation. Let usdefine the word properly: it is to salvage; it is to estab-lish in truth that which could have been lost througherror of interpretation. The pasture of life is filled withsheep, many of which have strayed from the shepherd.

We are evading the word, "must," and supplantingit with the word, "shall." The sheep shall be found. Allmen are snatched as brands from the burning fire,

because mortal man became confused. We lead, andwhen those we are leading behold the light but dimly,we stand still until we behold the light becoming illu-mined in the consciousness of those we are desirous ofleading. As we have said to you, when we behold yourlight, we reach forth and say, "Come, you are ready forthe next step of revealings."

We, the shepherds of the Father's house, called toyou, and through you other sheep have heard the voiceof the shepherd. Many prodigal sons have heardthrough some of you, and they are returning to theFather's house. Strange paths, strange roads, strangeavenues, only seemingly so, but the strangeness wasbut confusion in mortal thinking.

Now, dear hearts, you are no longer limited to theconfines of mortal confusion. Have faith and confi-dence in our leading, for we are not leading you forthis moment, for this day, but for that which you havecalled the tomorrows — tomorrow!

You, as you pass through the gate upon the pathleading to the heart center of the great cosmos, youtoo, will become shepherds in the pasture of God.Truth speaks. One word of truth does greater work,carries greater weight; it is as the tiny kernel ofwheat: it multiples. One word of truth grows and itbecomes the salvation of man.

The fire of life tempers the steel. The steel must betempered to serve its purpose. May we help you? Youare standing before life's forge, placing your steel, and

we, of the Council, shall not see the steel ill-shaped,nor shall we stand by and see you burn yourself whileyou are being purified by placing your steel in theforge of life. That would not spell reason, would it?

You are not se rvan ts , as the word is commonlyunderstood; you are co-workers, young shepherds inthe field. In the words of the sage of ancient age of theFar East, " I have traveled life's path many times, andI have yet to find an honest man losing his way on a straight path." Ponder the statement; you are honest,ponder it; you cannot lose your way.

Remember, should there be any loose spokes in thewheel, the b lacksmith of life shall fasten themsecurely to the hub and they shall never become looseagain

The word, "Lord" or, "law" of God cont inues andever shall continue to be the shepherd of men. Whenman of Ear th understands in his heart 's consciousnessthat God is love, God is t ruth, God is power, there canbe no dismay, no fear, no doubt, no lack of courage. Thepsalmist has well said, "Yea, though I walk throughthe valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil."Why is t he re no lack or fear of evil? The psa lmis tspoke the word, "For thou a r t with me, and thy rodand thy staff, they comfort me."

The rod of t r u t h and the staff of unde r s t and inghave always given and will continue to give comfort.The "Lord or law" established t ru th and establishedlove of God in man's consciousness. Man's conscious-

ness is bu t a reflection of man's th ink ing . As m a ndesires to think Godwise, so man desires to live God-wise. The Christ light, radiant in the consciousness ofman, makes all dark ways light and all crooked pathsstraight.

When, in consciousness, a soul reflects on theset r u t h s and will not pe rmi t pollution of the clearstream of his life, nor will he accept thoughts of dis-crepancy or failure, t h a t soul is accepted into theNehemiah plane of the White Brotherhood, for he hasbecome a constructive worker in the light.

Ju s t as the shining soul of Nehemiah of old, who"hung the gates to the city," the newly entered soulshall claim his birthright in God's love, light and wis-dom. It shall walk in the light with the assurance ofGod, and rebuild in consciousness the walls of his owncity of J e ru sa l em, man 's J e rusa l em, the Holy Citywithin man's consciousness.

As mankind rises in consciousness, because of itsdesire to know more of the living God, so each oneshall, in t u rn , become a Nehemiah. The ga tes shallonce again become a protection against the onrush ofdoubters, those who, in thought, would destroy yourNehemiah consciousness, the bui lders , the faithfulworkers of the eternal principle.

When in prayer or medi ta t ion , it becomes yourdesire to seek aid or inspiration from we, of the Coun-cil, from our particular sphere of spiritual teachers, orto reach any member on other planes of the heavenly

hosts relative to some activity or expression in life, itis then there will be a sincere seeking on the par t ofthe dedicated collaborators who wish honestly to sharewith others t ha t which is still unwri t ten, unprinted,undiscovered, unbuilt, or unpainted.

All t ha t is ever necessary is but to visualize us inconsciousness, to send out the call, reach up, reach upwithin and send forth your beam of l ight within. Byusing the light which you send forth in prayer or medi-tation and ascending in consciousness, you will find usthere to aid and inspire you.

Remember the law of the magnet : the magnetat tracts to itself all tha t is acceptable to the magnet.And you, dear ones, are going forth in quest of t ruth,not for yourselves alone, but to share it. Therefore youare the magne t . Always see th ings wi th a divineaspect, even though, at t imes, this seems contrary tomortal conception. That is to be expected.

Being is becoming, becoming is knowing, andknowing is the fullness of wisdom. Dear hea r t s ,always remember, you do not walk alone, and in what-ever manner we speak of your true spiritual ability, wehave no fear of your ever using this ability selfishly orpossessively. We are happy to inform you tha t you arenow penetrat ing the veil of doubt. All tha t which hasobscured your vision from the fullness of God's know-ing is d isappear ing, as the mist is dissolved by thewarmth of the sun's rays. The mist has returned to theoneness of life.

We shall never see you wander on barren wastes;t ha t cannot be. "Closer t h a n hands and feet," weremain with you. There can be no barriers, for you donot stand alone. With each pulsation of the blood, as itfollows through your physical body, so in conscious-ness; you will become aware of the vas tness in thegreat pat tern of life.

Wherein lies the solution to all t h a t which m a ncalls problematic? In the reality of God, there are noproblems. It is only as man hesitates and questions inhis thinking does that which man has called a problemarise. God's chi ldren were never dest ined to live inignorance. Whatever manner of textbook man uses, isbut a means to cause him to think. When his thoughtis constructive, he becomes a par t of life's great text-book, wherein lies all wisdom.

When man sincerely understands tha t he is aboutthe Father 's business and shares his Father 's businessin love, he will not seek rank , s ta t ion, prest ige orpower. He will not seek the gilded frame of public famebecause of mortal or physical egotism, which ever cre-ates dissension. He will seek but one gilded frame. Itis the golden frame created with the gold of love.

We have, in the past, and are endeavoring to everkeep you, dear col laborators , God-conscious. Whenman fully knows and u n d e r s t a n d s the under ly ingprinciple of all life, life will no longer be a mystery.Silence, meditation, quiescence, a continued desire toknow further, without argument in mortal reasoning,

The Gali lean was correct when he said, "As yousow, so shall you reap." That is the interpretat ion asyou read in your Holy Writ; but in the original it readin this wise, "I am the center of the universe, out ofthe vast comes nearness."

PURIFICATION — THE PATHOF REGENERATION

Let there be peace and happiness. Let there be noconfusion in thinking. Let emotionalism be swallowedup in the victory of understanding. When understand-ing is accepted and through its acceptance received, itcan only be appropr ia ted in intelligence. Therefore,there is no room for confusion.

Wisdom begets understanding, and understandingis intelligence. Then man is no longer confined to thenarrowness of mortal intellect. That has been our goal;our great aim and purpose is tha t you, dear ones, seethrough one window and behold the great wide vistas

of intell igence. There is bu t one mind, Godmind,known to many of the Ear th plane as superconscious-ness.

The soul is the mind power for the duration of eachincarnation. That, which is known to man as consciousmind or objective mind is receptive to tha t which thefive senses therein record. It is the indwelling place ofdesire. It is tha t which records every desire of the fiyephysical senses. It is tha t which is referred to by manof your teachers as the carnal mind, wherein carnalthinking has its workshop.

During the activity of the day, when the carnalworkshop is producing its wares and tha t portion ofthe bra in is very active, i t is there t h a t selfishness,possessiveness, greed, s t r ivings, and ty r anny havetheir residence. When t ha t s ta te , known to m a n assleep, manifests itself, t hen t h a t workshop is quiet.Now, all t ha t i t has created during the waking stateseeks lodgment in the subjective channels of the brain.You will recall previous ins t ruc t ions in which welikened that which man calls the subjective mind untoa "king" who rules his subjects.

The subjective mind, so known to man, knows onlythat which the conscious mind, so-called, sends to thesubjective or the subconscious mind, so-called. It isthere the unfinished business has its residence andbecomes a part of the soul. You will be mindful of thestatement, "Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

The image and likeness of God, which is Godman,has its residence in the superconsciousness, t ha t is,the inner chamber, the "tabernacle of the hosts."

Regardless of what man has written in books, weare endeavoring to share t ruth with you, that you mayno longer walk in darkness. Where, therefore, it is nec-essary for the regeneration to have its first desire orinception, it needs must be in that which man refers toas the conscious mind or objective mind. It must there-fore be objective, dear hearts .

Prayer is the innermost desire of good. When mandesires to follow the path of regeneration and purifica-tion to build the new foundation for the new pillars ofthe new Temple of Solomon, the temple of the soul, sothat nothing will destroy it ever, it is necessary to firstcleanse the channels of communication, so t h a t ourmessages of inspiration, as we send them to you, areproperly received and are crystal clear, free of any dis-tortion or misinterpretation in meaning to your under-standing consciousness.

First, one must cleanse and awaken the five physi-cal centers so t h a t the seven spir i tual centers mayradiate brightly. Prayer is the first step to the fullnessof spiri tual realization, for remember, "Spirit is everwilling." Spirit does not demand, does not command,spirit is ever willing. Now then, when man becomesfervent in his desire for righteousness in the consciousor objective th inking, he is beginning to cleanse, to

purge all t ha t which the conscious or objective mindhas accepted in error from the five physical senses.

Steadfast and pers is tent , wi thout fear, wi thoutdoubt, the conscious or objective s ta te becomes illu-mined with desire for good. Now, when t h a t of goodleaves the objective thinking, it passes to the subjec-tive and the re continues i ts c leansing of the errorwhich the objective has sent to the subjective. Whenman of E a r t h cont inues along construct ive, pure,unselfish ideas, the subjective becomes completely per-meated with spiritual, creative records.

It is then , t ha t which m a n calls superconscious-ness of spirit can express its everlasting eternal will-ingness , t hen shall come to pass the s t a t emen t socommonly used in orthodox theology, "the powerdescends from on high."

Let us mention the magnet , as when holding themagnet beneath a piece of paper or glass upon whichare placed bi ts of meta l , which will respond to thea t t rac t ion of the magnet . As the magne t is movedabout, the t iny metal part icles form a pa t t e rn . Nowthis pa t t e rn could not be formed, regard less of themagnet, unless the tiny metallic particles were there.

Now that which man has learned to call the subjec-tive mind, when it has received thought p ictures oflove, peace, harmony, contentment, devotion, all tha twhich is in accord with Godman, there is an attractionfor the power, the magnet of the superconscious power.The willingness of spirit is then able to manifest, for it

cannot manifest until it has that with which to makeits manifestation. Therefore in silence, meditation andconcentration, any devotion to good, call it what youwill, sets in motion in the objective mind that which isthe first beginning on the path of the ascension, or thepath of regeneration.

We have reasoned with you t h a t man, lives bydesire, and tha t is speaking of man's unregenera teddesire. Godman lives by desire, yes, but it is alwaysrighteous desire, not in the least limited or subjectedto that of the five physical senses.

When the subjective mind remains unregeneratedand man is separated from the physical coil throughwhat has been called death , when in t h a t s ta te , andwhen, in t ime, he desires to r e tu rn to the physicalplane to finish unfinished business, he re tu rns withjus t those quali t ies unto which he was subject to bythe subjective mind of his former life. They are still a part of his desire pattern.

Now this, we are aware, is in direct contradictionto much of which man of Earth today understands, butwhen th i s law is unders tood, m a n shall be mindfulhow he weaves the daily portion of life's pat tern allot-ted him to weave through his living.

Hence, the age-old statement, "As you sow, so shallyou reap," until by continued mistakes, pain and suf-fering, he learns the lesson.

Why pain? Why suffering? Why want? Why lack?Why limitation? Are they the result of disobedience in

some incarnation? Nay, nay, nay! It is an accumulationof repeated unfinished business of many lives andmany incarnations, the rejection of facing the respon-sibilities of life and the principle of truth.

It therefore behooves m a n to seek a r ighteouspath. Fear, doubt, and emotionalism are contributingfactors, in your everyday terminology. They are thecontributing factors to an unsound subjective intellec-tual picture, making it difficult, thought not impossi-ble, for intelligence to permeate the intellect. May werepeat, as we have oftentimes stated, mortally, man isa weakling; spiritually he is a giant.

Every fragment of doubt, fear, and supers t i t ionshall be removed from the subjective chamber, lestthey continue to r e ta rd progress. Eventually, t ha twhich man of Earth has learned to call death shall beannihilated, for there is no death.

Can man of E a r t h so live life's pa t t e rn t h a t it isunnecessary to r e tu rn and claim another physicalvehicle? Our answer is yes! Yes, yes, yes! But he shallpass through the regeneration. When mortal man willuse for himself tha t which he suggests to his fellow-man to use, he will become a good teacher of t ru th ,first to himself.

In one of our previous instructions, we said, "Mancan share with his fellowman only tha t which he pos-sesses. And have we not also stated "professing is notpossessing?" When one really possesses the radianceof spirit, it illumines the countenance, and his fellow-

man will say, "What has he, what has she, which I donot possess?" For the "eyes shone forth as stars in thefirmament, and behold, the countenance thereof wasrad ian t as a labaster , and the feet (unders tanding)were as gold, and the raiment (aura) white as snow."

When the woman whose physical habil iment wastor tured with an issue of blood for many years , andshe had spent her worldly possessions and yet theissue of blood remained, "She touched the hem of thegarment."

Does the universe have an aura? Yes! Do they whodwell in the universe have an aura? Yes! Do nat ionshave an aura? Yes! Do cities have an aura? Yes! Doraces have an aura? Yes! Everything that lives has anaura , dear hea r t s . So, t he woman who had reachedforth touched the "hem of the garment," the garmentshe touched clothed a physical habi l iment and t h a tphysical habiliment clothed a soul, and tha t soul wassubject to but one power, the oneness of being. There-fore there was but one aura in that garment, the auraof peace, love, healing, dear hearts .

You will remember the remaining par t of the nar-rat ive. The Nazarene saw her not; ne i the r did shebehold the countenance of the Nazarene, and yet hesaid, "What manner of man hath touched me?" He wasinformed by the disciples that none had, unaware thatthe woman had touched the garment . The Nazarenesaid, "Verily, for this moment I felt a virtue leave me."

What a beautiful symbology m a n has here : theNazarene is the embodiment of the Christ Conscious-ness, as all mankind is the embodiment of the ChristConsciousness. The twelve disciples surrounding theNazarene, symbolizing in man of Ear th the beautifulthought pictures, the twelve powers of man spirituallyexpressed, the thoughts of r ighteousness expressed,sent to the subjective chamber, giving protection toman physically and spiritually.

What symbology bears the press of the throng?The disciples were within the protecting circle, mindyou. The throng was seeking, were they not? Amongthei r number were many who were anxious to behealed of body, symbolizing the first steps in desire forregeneration. All this was symbolized in the conscious-ness of the woman. Mind you, she did not let doubtinterfere. She did not let fear interfere. She reachedthrough the throng, the press of the crowd with butone desire in objective consciousness, one desire toreach the Master.

Tha t pa r t of the a u r a which became permea tedwith righteousness, blended with the aura of the Mas-ter Jesus. Her divine self, her master in consciousness,became awakened and the issue of blood ceased. TheGalilean knew when he said, "Arise, take up thy crossand follow me." Not follow him as the man Jesus ; hedid not mean this, but following the Christ light of theinner Godman.

Godman comes into his rightful heritage and ruleson the throne of authority, on the seven spiritual cen-ters, radiating their spiritual light and power throughthe etheric body, purifying and spiritualizing the phys-ical centers and the pillars of the Temple of Solomon.

In the spine are two central nerves known to m a nof Ear th as the great ganglia or ganglionic system ofnerves. They are referred to in your Holy Writ, as wellas in the teachings of free and accepted Masonry, asBoaz and Jachin (1 Kings 7:21), which were given bySolomon to Hiram of Abif in recompense for his ser-vices in the construction of the temple.

In the lower par t of the spine of the h u m a n orphysical habiliment, is a portion of gray matter, simi-lar in construct ion to the gray m a t t e r of which thebra in is made . In the front, or in the region of t h enavel, is likewise a similar substance of gray matter.

Man does his th ink ing in t h a t region of theabdomen, right in back of the navel, and over a finenetwork of nerves its messages are sent and reach thesubstance in the lower part of the spine, known as thekundalini center. That center acts as your present daytelegrapher's key and sends the messages up the gan-glionic system of nerves to the brain. This is referred

to in your Holy Writ, in the book of Revelation, as "thetwelve branches of the tree." Now the messages tha treach the various cell centers of the bra in are sentthrough the physical body to each intelligence or nervecenter. Through the physical habil iment are trillionsof minute nerve centers , intel l igences in the i r ownright. They shall accept whatever message is sent tothem and respond in accordance to t h a t message.Therefore, if they receive a message of distress, mor-tally so, tha t is the only message they can respond to.But if they receive a message of constructive or affir-mat ive s t ruc tu re , t h a t i s t he message they shallrespond to.

Therefore it behooves man at all t imes to think inan affirmative manner , even though he is becominginterested in that which is foreign or strange to him. Itis unwise for him to become destructively critical; forin t ruth, all things are possible.

Remember a lways , these pi l lars keep in perfectorder the physical structure of the Temple of Solomon,the temple of the soul. Likewise, in your Holy Writ, inthe book of Revelation 22:2, you will read, "Thebranches and the leaves were given unto the nation(which means mankind) for the healing," and healingis constructive. Therefore all thoughts should be con-structive and not in the leastwise negative.

It is unwise for man to say, "I do not know," or, "Iam not interested," or, "I do not care." All ideas areworthy of considerat ion, for all constructive ideas

come from the vas tness or from the construct ivesource or seat which man has learned to call God.

God is not man , as man beholds himself. God ispower, God is t r u t h , God is love; and t h a t whichteaches m a n the power of God, the love of God, andthe t ru th of God is worthy of man's consideration andacceptance regardless of the channel through which itcomes.

The Naza rene said, "Unto him who keepe th mylaw, I shall give unto him for an inheritance, the hea-then." In your present interpretation, the heathen isunderstood as one who is without unders tand ing orlearning, and tha t is un t rue . When Jesus made tha tut terance, the hea then were considered to be quies-cence, humility, and acceptance. Therefore theNaza rene was expediently wise, when he said, "Toinherit tha t which promulgates t ruth, is to inherit thepower or the unde r s t and ing of the power t ha t pro-motes life."

Therefore the Temple of Solomon becomes as sub-s tant ia l as man in his th inking causes it to be. Nowmind you well, "As man th inke th in his hear t , so ishe." And the hear t t ha t the Galilean referred to wasthe brain; tha t is the hear t of man, for each part andparticle of the physical habil iment, or the Temple ofSolomon, responds to man's thinking as it passes backand forth through the pillars of the temple, known asthe ganglionic system of nerves.

Has it ever occurred to you that upon hearing somedis t ress ing news, you have had the experience of a weak, nauseating feeling in the region of the navel? Orif you have become star t led over some sudden newswhich you have accepted in a negative manner? Thatis because tha t center has rebelled against the nega-tion or physical weakness that man experiences with a psychic reaction.

Man so often complains, physically, of a painacross the small of his back and at tr ibutes it to somephysical weakness. That is not t rue. It is t ha t centerknown as the kundalinic center rejecting that which isun t rue and endeavoring to separate the wheat fromthe chaff, so that the message passed up to the brain,through the pillars of the temple, reaches the twelvecranial nerves uncontaminated from error and sendsto the cell structure of the brain, the t rue and uncon-taminated message of life, peace, power, and plenty.We t rust you shall mentally digest and assimilate thisinformation. Many have misunderstood much of whatthey have read in books about the construction of theganglionic system of nerves, and they will not be inagreement, perhaps, with tha t which we are stating;however, with t ha t we are not in the leastwise con-cerned.

It is our endeavor to lead man of Earth, "from theunrea l to the real , from darkness into l ight, fromdeath unto life, from morta l i ty to immorta l i ty : lifeeternal." There is but one life for man to live and that

life is continuous, regardless of tha t which has beenspoken of, mentioned or written about down throughthe centuries, as you reckon time. That life is allottedinto portions; those portions are known as rebirth; soit behooves m a n in his th ink ing to set his house inorder.

Let us be clearly understood. It is not God's decreeor dictum that man shall reincarnate or be born again.As man is now experiencing life in his present physi-cal temple, he can make this adjustment by followingthe path of regeneration and rising in consciousness,thus making it unnecessary to choose another physicalbody in which to correct his error or pay his debt.

As m a n lives in each physical body, he incurs a debt or creates the thought desire which shall br inghim back in ano the r physical t enement or ano the rTemple of Solomon.

You will r emember the na r ra t ive of the wall ofJerusalem being repaired? That is what rebirth meansto man: r e tu rn ing to repa i r the walls of Je rusa lem,and t h a t repa i r can be accomplished in the presentincarnation by creating no further error in thinking.

Let man's thought be pure and righteous, which isright and uncontaminated by the antiquity of race con-sciousness. Separate the wheat from the chaff, and letyour wheat be milled into a perfect loaf leavened withthe leaven of righteous understanding, tha t you mayfeast upon that which spells out freedom and liberty.

The Nazarene likewise said, "By their fruits shallye know them." (Matt . 7:20) The apple t ree bearsapples, not a plum or a pear. Each tree, its own fruit,so the Galilean was expediently wise when he madethat statement, "By their fruits, shall ye know them."

Mortal m a n is inclined or prone to live a life orexpression of pretense. Outwardly, he may manifestrighteously and inwardly be filled with contempt. Nowwe do not mean to be destructively critical, but youhave found tha t to be so, and man's inward thinkingor his inward emotion never becomes so enshroudedby the outer pretense that it absolves him from creat-ing an error within himself.

Firs t , m a n shall be t rue to himself, and then heshall be t rue to his fellowman; for by being t rue tohimself, he is true to his God, and the proper message,the affirmative message is pass ing back and forththrough the great pillars of the Temple of Solomon andreaching the cells in the brain and putt ing all in righ-teous or rightful order.

In the quiescence of this moment, contemplate thebeauty of your life. Many summers have you seen andmany a u t u m n s , too. All of beauty is yours. The sunhas spent its day with you. The mantle of night in itssweet caress enfolds you and you rest.

It is always a blessed privilege to share with you

the precious t ru ths of life and as you well understand,

that which man has learned to call error is but an illu-

sion and is not of God. God is the perfect being, the

perfect principle of life.

As we have previously ment ioned, God becomes

personalized, the manner in which man of Ear th in his

desire consciousness seeks to serve and spir i tual ly

share.As you well know, and have found so to be, there is

but one power and one presence in the universe, God,the good. As man desires so to grow in this presence,the greater becomes the realization. Never fear tha twhich is as yet seemingly unknown to you. It shallnever be seen by mortal sight. Your mortal or physicaleye sees because of the spiritual light of God.

God is power, and for m a n to deny t h a t t ru th ,causes that to take place which he recognizes as infir-mity. Always remember, dear hea r t s , you are theimage and likeness of God, spiritually so. Spiritually,you are bi r thless , ageless and deathless . When thist ru th continues to abide in conscious recognition, theillusion of its opposite can never represent any recog-nition.

In t ru th , man of E a r t h has no mind, he is mind,

and in tha t which man recognizes as a brain, he has

the divine faculty of thinking. As he thinks, so shall he

be.

What we are about to say are not idle words, "As a man thinketh in his heart , so is he." The heart of manis the kingdom of God within, and it is found in theuppermost part of the brain. The Psalmist knew this,and he referred to it as the "secret place of the MostHigh." In your Holy Writ, you read of it as "the throneseat of God." This we have spoken of previously.

There are myriad cells th roughout the physicalbody, and, in the brain, there are likewise millions ofcells. Each cell, both in the bra in and the body, areintelligences in their own right. Then, when the cellsin the brain are given the message of life, light, andtruth, these messages are communicated immediatelyto the cells in the body.

Where the cells in the brain have been fed destruc-tive thoughts formerly, such as, "I can't do this," and,"I am all in, I do not have the strength, I do not knowhow," etc., the body has become weakened and ill. Nowthat the constructive thoughts are replacing those for-merly sent, they begin to awaken the cells of the bodyunto righteousness (right use of the God force) and thebody responds.

Man shall become of greater concern with his spiri-tual body, for it is the spir i tual body where man hashis residence. As in thought, he desires tha t which islife, l ight and power, so he permeates the spi r i tua lbody, and the spiritual body, in turn, radiates that per-fection to the physical or morta l habi l iment . Thus

when man recognizes God in the true sense, there can

be no failure or sickness of the physical body.When man recognizes his oneness with God, with

the "holy of holies," meaning perfection of pure being,and being its likeness in its image or mind, or its like-ness, meaning one with, having no separa t ion fromthe source of the absolute pure being, then he becomeswhat is known to man of Ear th as an "overcomer."

You will experience and find tha t there is no lack,no want, and the greatest recognition of God is to con-tinually state or affirm, "I am at peace. I am abundantpower. I am strong and perfect in being." For, you willremember, when Moses received the command fromGod to lead the people from the bondage of pharoah,he said to God, "Whom shall I say has sent me?" andthe voice within answered, "Thou shalt say, 'I AM hath

sent me.'"I AM is the name of God. Spiritually, man knows

no limitation, for there is no separation in God. There

cannot be. Should the re come across your pa th one

whom you, out of spiritual love, desire to help, and you

find his unders tanding of God's law is less fortunate

than yourself, you shall silently command, in silence

(it shall be sufficient), "You are a child of the living

God; you are one with spiri tual perfection." As God's

eyes are too pure to behold iniquity, you therefore

behold only tha t which is God-created, t ha t which is

eternally perfect.

You will r emember when the man possessed ofdemons stood before the Gali lean. Wha t were thedemons or the devils that the Galilean cast forth fromthe man's thoughts which were contrary to onenesswith God? As the story relates , the demons spoke tothe Galilean and said, "You are the Christ of God; wewill have nothing to do with you."

The da rkness created by destruct ive th ink ing(demons in thought) began to vanish, light began todescend and as the destructive thinking began to van-ish, the man possessed of demons was healed.

The Galilean said, "Unto him who passes throughthe regenerat ion, I shall give unto him power to situpon 12 thrones, ruling the 12 tribes of Israel." Nowunto him who is Israelitish in his thinking, who is inquest of spiritual liberation, that one becomes a Mosesunto himself, a deliverer and emancipator, and seeksthe land of Cana or the land of righteous plenty. He isusing the divine mind of light and wisdom.

In your Holy Writ, you will read the s t a t emen t ,"letting your light so shine." The mortal or physicaleye of your fellowman, may never see the beauty ofyour aura , but long before they have ascended to theheights enabling them to behold this beauty, spiritu-ally so, it shall be felt.

Men's auras mingle, you know, one with the other.When you are in the presence of another, and you feelweakened or depressed, and you are desirous of free-ing yourself from t h a t presence, it is because your

au ra has become spir i tual ized, t h a t i t can find norecognition in the aura of the one in whose presenceyou may be at the moment.

But when your auras mingle and you are at peaceand happy, you say to yourself, "I j u s t cannot waituntil I meet them again." This assures you of a spiri-tual radiation from the aura of the one in whose pres-ence you have been. "Let your light so shine." Likewisethe statement, "And I, if I be lifted up, shall draw allmankind unto me."

The Nazarene was not speaking of himself; he wasreferring to the I AM of God, for the masses recognizedhim as Jesus of Nazareth, but the I AM of God is thecomplete reflection of the Presence, the one Presence,the one power of the universe, omnipotent, omniscient,omnipresent.

Have no fear to say, "I shall succeed; I can do it,"for it is God's desire for all his children to succeed. Theman or woman of Ear th , who succeeds and continuesin success, is the man or woman who has received hissuccess from the I AM consciousness of God.

This consciousness of God is quite often affection-ately and commonly recognized and expressed asdivine mind. Man spiritually is a divine creation andever shall be. Man is a giant, spiritually; mortally, hemay be a weakling, but spiritually, nothing is impossi-ble for him to accomplish. Have no fear to say, "I amall love; I am all power; I am all t h a t which God so

desires me to be." Thus the impersonal God becomespersonalized.

When your physical voice speaks in terms of love,you are speaking with the mouth of God. When yourphysical eyes beam with happiness and you beholdyour fellowman in equal spiritual measure, one withthe other, you are then seeing with the eyes of God.When you reach forth in fond embrace, you areextending the hands of God. For remember, you arethe incarnate image of the one living God. Not a livingGod, but the one living God, for there is but one God.Thus for you to say a living God is to infer that thereare many living Gods.

Let the meditations of your hear t be ever of God,for remember, the heart of man is in his thinking, andwhen the meditations of your heart are God-wise, thewords of your lips shall be likewise. For man cannotut ter a word unti l he has first thought it. Thereforemay we repeat, "May the meditations of my heart andthe words of my lips ever be unto Thee, O Jehovah."

With that affirmation in your thinking, tha t whichman has considered obstacles shall soon pass and hisfellowman shall no longer be boresome or tiresome tohim, for he shall have accepted his fellowman, regard-less of his color or creed, rank, prestige or power. Heshall be able to say in t ru th , "The Christ (conscious-ness of goodness) in me beholds the Christ in you. TheChris t (puri ty of love and t ru th ) in me greets theChrist in you."

To those of you who are interested in t h a t whichaffectionately or commonly is referred to as metaphys-ical healing, never see your fellowman or his physicalbody in any other state than the state of perfection.

There are , in your m u n d a n e sphere , cer tainschools of thought which teach affirmations anddenials. We are familiar with them and do not destruc-tively criticize their teachings, but may we leave thesewords of t r u t h with you? To deny dis t ress is toacknowledge its existence, is it not so? Therefore youmay be justified to ask this question, "When man, inhis ignorance of thinking, has caused his physical bodyto become uncomfortable, what shall we do?"

Our answer to you, dear hearts , is this. Rememberthe words of the supreme teacher of the ancient mysti-cal White Brotherhood. When he stood before the tombof Lazarus, his first s ta tement was, "Father, I thankthee that Lazarus liveth." And then he said, "Lazarus,come forth!" In expressing affirmations of t ruth, eithersilently or otherwise, it never becomes necessary forthe expression of denials, for t ru th has overcome allthat needs to be overcome.

Upon the scroll of thy inner vision, ye shall beholdthese words, "Now abideth faith, hope, and love, butthe greatest of these is love." Faith, what is faith? It isno greater, no less, than trust . Trust in what? Trust inwhom? Trust in God. Hope, what is hope? It is nothinggreater, nothing less, than the realization tha t every-thing is possible with the law of God. For there cannot

be one among you, who having passed along the edgeof what appeared to be an impending disaster, has notexperienced the lifting up , the t ransformat ion , therenewing. Surely, you have had revealings of all tha twhich has come to pass.

When the hour has come and seemingly been thedarkest , this help has come because of no part icularphysical effort and without the assistance of those youhave learned to call men and women. Where h a s i tcome from? It came from the indwelling divine mind:God.

Fai th , t rus t , hope, revelation, love, and the last ,love, is no greater, no less than honor. How can mandishonor God? You will remember God is both mascu-line and feminine. Therefore the ancient sage andprophet said, "Honor thy father and mother." It is notcomplicated and it is not a mystery: only as man ,either in his lack of desire to understand, or his willfulrejection, places himself on what you have learned tocall a quandary or a mysterious nonreceptive state ofthinking.

Man has spoken of becoming conscience-stricken.That is impossible wi thout first hav ing had someawareness of his h igher self, e i ther a f ragmentaryunderstanding, or premonition of the results of rejec-tion of the higher self. Conscience is the foster child ofconsciousness.

Why are we speaking to you in this manner? Welove you and we see the lights of your aura and know

that the desire of your heart is to become as pillars ofa new temple, as candles in the golden candlestick ofGod's altar. Your l ight shall shine and bu rn only asyou permit it to burn, to reveal to others through faith,hope, and love.

The greater one's sincerity becomes in his or herquest to behold the fullness thereof, the radiancethereof, to behold the hear t , the center of the greatwhite light of the Universal Soul, the less he or shebecomes involved in the throes of physical emotion.

In keeping with and true to our promise, we shallever be at hand, as close if not closer than the hair ofyour head. You call, we shall answer.

Give considerat ion and careful a t ten t ion inthought to what we have spoken of; digest it, and youwill find a pa t t e rn of conduct. This information hasbeen given for the reason t h a t i t has not been ourintention, nor shall it ever be, to inflict the least parti-cle of unconcern to the intelligence you now possess.

It has not been too far distant when we endeavoredto separate the mixture of individuality and personal-ity. Personality is the child of intellect. Individuality isthe mother and father of intell igence. It is God inaction. Intell igence is the only mind man of Ea r thshall ever know anything about. It is divine and eter-nal. Therefore in your intellectual reasoning, whichcan savor of mis in te rpre ta t ions of the five physicalsenses, i t behooves m a n to consider the manne r inwhich he conducts himself in his th inking. Intellect

passes through the endless process of regenerat ion.Remember, intellect reflects, not merely reflects thepersonality, bu t i t also reflects race consciousness.Therefore intellect mus t make its ascent and mee tintelligence, which is God.

The Chinese would have been the most powerfulnation in the world, had it not been that they took intotoo grea t a considerat ion the dynas t ies from whichthey sprang forth. "We are from the house of Ming.""We are from the house of Wong." "We are from thehouse of Moy." "We are from the house of Laong." Theyforgot the t r u t h t h a t the i r Confucius and Buddhataught. Confucius and Buddha said, 'You are supremeintelligence."

If Buddha and Confucius never did one mite ofgood, (which they did) they established the grea tes tcode of moral ethics ever left to h u m a n kind. TheGalilean clarifies their code of moral ethics with thegreat white light of the oversoul.

Race consciousness, humbly bowing before ances-try, became the death knell, as it were, of the Chinese.In the Scr ipture , you will read a verse in this wise,"The dragon shall give the beast its power." (Rev. 13:2)And the dragon shall, for the dragon shall come intoits rightful possession. When you see "flame of light"depicting the emanation from the dragon's mouth, it isnot destructive; it is the flame of purification.

Remember, not all animals are beasts, nor are allbeasts animals . "The dragon shall give the beast its

power." When it is the golden serpent of wisdom, thenonly will the "beast" (the mortal intellect) be cleansedwith the purification of the spiritual flame. Wisdom — you possess it — use it, and it shall have a grea terrealization for you as you raise your intellect to meetintelligence, as a t rue alchemist of God, turning basethinking into the gold, noble thinking of pure wisdom.

Intelligence is not the destructive serpent; it is theflame of purification. It is the light which leads manout of the darkness, the wilderness of mortal intellectinto the freedom of God's unfailing light. Do not worryabout t ha t which your fellowman believes in. Neverask him to accept what you have to offer. Remember,all man is born of free will. Therefore we have statedmany t imes: No proselytizing. Share t ha t which youunderstand and know. Share it only when it is soughtand when you feel it is necessary. You are now in life'slaboratory; a t rue chosen and bidden alchemist areyou when you rise in intellect, which is knowledge,and tap the universal storehouse of wisdom, which isdivine mind, God in action.

You shall then prove to your predecessors tha t theywho denied God, denied the origin of tha t which theywere seeking, for the reason t h a t the i r tes t tubes ,which is their mortal reasoning, failed. "Faith, hope,love, these three, but the greatest of these is love."

As the bud which b reaks forth and reveals thebeauty within its hea r t is unknown to m a n unt i l i tblooms or blossoms, so you shall burst forth in the full-

ness of spiri tual consciousness. The man who standson his own two feet and swings his own body, t ha t isthe man or woman we are looking for, for tha t man orwoman is then coming closer to the real man or God-man, which you are in t ruth.

Love is power and when it is unselfishly shared,never causes a moment of regret. There is nothing inna tu re t h a t s tands still, for God is active principle;God is radiant intelligence. Being is becoming, becom-ing is knowing, knowing becomes understanding, andunderstanding begets intelligence.

What is "self-realization," a te rm often used onEarth? Man is self-realized when the soul realizes tha tman is one with God, and conducts himself in all hisexperiences in conformity with that realization. Therecan be no other self-realization; God and man are one.

There are many ancient symbols which are recog-nized as having the same e te rna l , cosmic mean ingwherever they may be found. Among them, there isthe circle, symbolizing eternity; also, the sun or light.Then there is the crescent moon, symbolizing a sign ofnewness among men of Ear th . The tr iangle indicatesthe t r iune principle of life. The crown symbolizes theglory of God made manifest as victory in t ru th . Thecross symbolizes the resurrec t ion and ascension inconsciousness.

Long ages pas t , David, the shepherd boy, whilewatching the s ta r s , conceived of the t r u t h t h a t Godand m a n were one, spir i tual ly speaking. He was

divinely inspired to perceive tha t the tr iune principleof life was expressed in spir i t and also in mater ia lform. These two t r iangles are the spi r i tual t r ianglepointing upward, and the physical t r iangle pointingdown. He symbolized the realization by interlacing thetwo triangles, the one triangle pointing upward to Godand the other triangle pointing down to Earth, the six-pointed star, symbolizing the oneness of God and man.Meditate on the t rue meaning of these interlaced tri-angles; learn the lesson well and you shall be self-real-ized in the oneness of God.

Let us now consider the six-pointed star, the twotr iangles and wha t they represen t in the physicalbody. The triangle pointing down is in the direction ofthe seat of the sun, or the solar plexus. It is here thatman begins his rise, his ascent in consciousness. Inthe seat of the sun is the fire of the universe t h a tburns up all error. The upper cross point of the trian-gle governs the heart and the lungs.

In the t r iangle which points upward , the apexpoints to the sacred and secret place of the Most High,where man eventually resides in his awakened state.The two lower points cover the liver and the spleen.We are pointing out the six prominent powers of thephysical body. When these six stations, or centers, areproperly functioning, they are devoid of the clutter ofemotionalism.

The chemist ry of the physical body is in perfectbalance, and tha t which m a n calls disease, or any

other form of discomfort, is unknown to the physicalbody.

When the chemistry of the physical body is imbal-anced, the waters of life which man calls the blood-stream become overtaxed through the contaminationand disturbed thinking. Nature does not quit; na turedoes not take a holiday. Nature asks for help and tha twhich has been in the process of mak ing over wha tman calls days, weeks, months, and perhaps years, isnot always overcome in the twinkling of an eye.

Therefore it behooves man never to become part ofoutward appearances when he desires to help his fel-lowman. True as the words were written, so true theyare: thoughts become things.

Ju s t as Jesus of Nazareth, an elder brother of allmankind, is a fellowman to every man who seeks thisunders tanding of life and light, let man not reject it,regardless of where he finds it. Let man be thankfulfor t h a t l ight. "The F a t h e r and I are one." T ha tthought held in supreme consciousness shall be thet inder t h a t shall set aflame the light of self-realiza-tion.

You are now alchemists , menta l a lchemists . Youshall t u r n the unrea l into the real , not only in onemanner, but in many; tolerance is priceless. You willfind it a handmaiden with love. To be t ruthful , it isborn from the womb of love. We love you; we love you,and it is ever our aim and purpose to lead you bit bybit, step by step. Never let us be accused of causing

you menta l indigestion. Remember, t ha t which manperceives th rough his five senses endows him withmortal intellect.

In the speaking of many words and the making ofmany books, there is the greatest fallacy; therefore theteacher puts acceptable words into being. Intellectualknowledge becomes wisdom when properly applied,when properly understood. When m a n of Ea r thascends in consciousness, his knowledge becomes wis-dom, for knowledge is clarified with wisdom. Whenunde r s t and ing comes, t hen theories become facts;until understanding dawns, theories are mere intellec-tual knowledge. But when understanding dawns, thentheories become facts and facts are undeniable. It iswisdom to always walk in the light.

Remember and never forget, the door to the cham-ber of silence is never closed. There is no mundanepower in t h a t which m a n has learned to call evil,which can close the door to the chamber of silence. Inthe chamber of silence is the vastness of pure being.Mortal emotion knows no silence. Silence is spiritualadoration unto the living God.

The acorn knows it will be an acorn when plantedand a father to a tree some day; the pumpkin knows itwill never be a squash; and the carrot seed knows itwill never become an apple or a plum, for the seed isimbued with divine mind, and knows from whence itcame and whither it is going.

Soon your ground will be covered with snow andice and the beautiful rose bushes will have gone tosleep; but in the spring, as you unders tand the sea-sons, the rays of the sun will kiss the ground and therose bush shall leaf and the buds shall unfold. Theirbeauty and perfume shall say to man, "God lives andall is well."

Dear hear ts , everything there is expresses life; asinanimate as it may appear to be, it expresses life, thelife of God in action. So let your light shine throughusing the divine mind to grow, to bless others as wellas yourself. There is but one growth and that is spiri-tual; therefore God first, last, and eternal.

There is only one word t h a t expresses spir i tualprogress: love. He who loveth is bourn of God, notmerely born of God, but lifted, sus ta ined, conveyedand t ranspor ted . It is for t h a t reason t h a t love, the

greatest power in the universe, love, expresses God.When m a n uses or expresses love and wisdom in allhis efforts, in his though t s , words and deeds, he isworking in the laboratory of his life and is a t ruealchemist using the t rue elements of God, and show-ing reverence to the e ternal , ancient symbols of theuniverse all about him.

YOUR AURA — THE SHIELD OF PROTECTION

One of the Brotherhood speaks:

You mus t learn the accomplishment of lovingthoughts , loving thinking. The Galilean healed withlove, you know, and the same power flows today. It is a mighty force.

Love is the light which lights every dark path; loveis the power that straightens every crooked road; loveis that God-in-action which eradicates from every nookand cranny of life whatever has sought lodgment thereto disturb.

Love, love, love, use it bountifully. The more youuse, the more you shall have to use. You shall have

every evidence round about you of t h a t which youhave to th i s hour accomplished through love, love,love, love, for it is t h a t pa r t t h a t God has placed ofHimself into every living thing.

Yes, God placed His love; God does not deny love.Man, in his limited mortal unders tanding, denies it,and denying it, he deprives himself of a priceless trea-sure. The Galilean said, "Where your hea r t is, thereyour t reasure lies." The greatest t reasure in life, dearhearts , is love. You cannot talk of it enough; you can-not sing of it enough, and you cannot hea r of itenough.

Love is a magnet ; it never draws the opposite toitself. Remember that and when you have that rootedand grounded in your consciousness, you have discov-ered the greatest secret in life.

Love never a t t r ac t s ha te ; i t cannot. Love nevera t t r ac t s ty ranny ; it cannot . Love is the fullness oflight. It is full of life. Love is tha t power which causedthe walls of Jer icho to fall. Read t h a t na r ra t ive . Itbespeaks a spiritual t ru th as do all other narratives inthat book which man has called the book of mysteries.

Love ban ishes fear. Love ann ih i la tes ha te . Lovedestroys ty ranny and deception. The m a n or womanwho loves tha t which he is engaged in doing, performsa duty and tha t duty never becomes a task. For loveknows no task.

You admire the rainbow, do you not? As you see itin the sky, it forms an arc. It is not jus t an arc, how-

ever; it is ovoid in its shape. With the physical eyes,you see but t h a t portion of the circle which, to yourvision, appears as an arc of light.

Man's aura envelops his physical body and as therainbow, it is ovoid in shape. Man's physical body, inreality, is ovoid, mind you that well.

Your aura contains every color in the spectrum ofthe sun. Oh, if man could but see his aura, when he isth ink ing unkindly or speaking rash , ha r sh , unk indwords. If he could but see the change tha t takes placein the spec t rum of his au ra , he would never aga inthink an angry thought, let alone speak in anger.

What do you think took place when the great Bud-dha rejected the vilification of the one who sought toslander him? He thought in love. Therefore he keptthe brilliance of his aura; he maintained peace and thetranquility of God; and he refused to accept the vilifi-cation of his persecutor. Tha t which his persecutoroffered him could not pene t ra te Buddha 's au ra andcause any unpleasantness in the physical structure ofBuddha.

Remember, dear hear ts of God, your aura extendsabout your body as far as you can stretch your handsor your arms. In periods of deep meditation, it extendstwice as far and farther. When you are happy and aretruthfully in harmony with your fellowman, withoutenmity, your aura extends quite some distance, just asit is elevated in a spiritual manner through the stateof meditation.

Man's au ra is his shield of protection. Remember,man's aura is man's protection. When, through man'sthinking, the colors are kept crystal clear and radiatebrightly, m a n can walk th rough the abyss of Hadesand fear no evil.

Let he who is living the life of a mystic live in theprotection of his aura . In mortal thinking, when onedoes not accept the negativeness of another, the auraof the mystic remains his spiritual fortress. That is theshield and buckler of which the psalmist wrote.

The psalmist knew this when he said, "Yea, thoughI walk th rough the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for Thou art with me (the immutableLaw of Love). Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."If man of Ea r th were to have the proper understand-ing of t h a t which he recognizes as the scr ipture , hewould no longer wallow in the pit, the slime, or thegrime of fear. He would not be in ignorance of God'struth.

It is unfor tuna te t h a t the insp i ra t ions of theancient p rophe ts have been mis in te rpre ted . Listencarefully, dear hearts . You enter the silence of medita-tion for inspiration, do you not? And you receive inspi-ration quite frequently? So it was with the prophets ofold. They were spiritual beings clothed in habilimentof flesh, and they were led by the great teachers of theancient mystical White Brotherhood, after the Orderof Melchizedek.

Those who have chosen to follow will have everyreason to rejoice t ha t they have been called. For ourlove and spiritual affection for them becomes greaterand greater, for the reason that they have been toler-ant and endeavoring to the best of their ability to soorder thei r way along life's path . Also, because theywill never become beset with the erroneous desires toresort to subterfuge, t h u s misus ing t h a t power ofwhich they are an incarnate expression, the power ofGod.

"Let there be peace, and let it begin with me" Letyour thoughts ever be thus and should you perchancebecome alerted to the deception of others, never let itbecome a par t of you. Keep your aura bright, crystalclear, so tha t you will a t t ract from the aura of othersonly that which is as clear as your own aura.

When you see an overcast countenance in others,smile! When you see a distorted, emaciated physicalform in others , wi th your inner eye, see it s t ra ight ,strong, and stalwart. When you see the uncertain step,see it move with steadiness within the inner recess ofyour soul's consciousness. Then happiness shall be oneof your greatest rewards.

Remember, t h a t which you are p repar ing to dorequires patience and tolerance, and there shall be nonegat ive s t a t emen t , no "hopes" or "perhaps" and"maybe," for that which you are now doing is now per-fect. It is not physical; it is spiritual.

Therefore, no negative ideas shall enter, for nega-

tive ideas create a barrier. You shall find tha t patience

is a grea t rewarder . Humility, humil i ty is a grea t

rewarder . Humbleness of hea r t opens the door to

truth.All inspira t ion is of God. Tha t is a golden t ru th .

Man cannot afford to say, "I did it, I am doing it, it isme." It is always God in action.

In God, there is no retrogression. There can be noconfusion in God. Man, as you know, is spiritual, indi-vidualized in the presence of God. Therefore do notbecome mortally zealous in tha t which you are doing,but ra ther spiritually zealous, and your spiritual zeal-ousness shall never consume you, and the re shallnever be a quest ion of failure. There may be theappearance of strife, but strife is nonexis tent in thepresence of God.

Never be fearful of doing good. Let us go to theprophet Job. Remember when he said, "That which I have feared, has come upon me." Never be fearful.When man has an inspiration to do some good, let himuse it. Now, we come to the spi r i tua l impor t of thestatement of the Galilean when he said, "Unto he whohath, it shall be added unto, but unto he who hath not,it shall be taken away therefrom, even tha t which heha th . " Now, th i s sounds like a r a t h e r unjust s ta te-ment , does it not? Wha t is the impor tance of th isstatement?

The more you use of your talents, love, and inspi-ration, the more you shall acquire. The less you use oft h a t which you have, the sooner i t s t agna tes andcrumbles into the native nothingness. Use your inspi-ration, let your heart sing and your countenance radi-ate with a smile, with the joy of the song in your heart .Never become injured in your emotional reaction towhat seems an unkindness on the part of others. Manonly becomes injured in the m a n n e r in which heaccepts injury. In the non-acceptance, it is returned tothe one who is bent on injuring you through his speak-ing.

Man only becomes a part of that which he beholds( tha t which he t akes hold of— accepts as a convic-tion), nothing else. Never look upon injury, never,never. The cruelty or injustice or the misunderstand-ing, whatever it may be, is a lesson to be learned onthe part of the one who created the cruelty, the injury,the misunderstanding. And it is no part of you unlessyou accept it. Thus, you become a part of the bargain,and then you must appropriate its reaction.

There have been t imes when each one of youmomentarily deviated from the trodden path of spiri-tual realization; but tha t was only because the physi-cal or mate r ia l necessity so made i ts demand .However, you have quickly returned in humility, andinwardly avowed yourselves to the only t rue God youknow, the God of love. Thus , you have made t h a twhich is known to man of Earth a redemption.

How well you have served man of Ea r th shall berevealed to you when you are able to read the embla-zoned scroll, written in love, established by yourself toyour credit. You will remember there was a man calledPeter, and when, "he saw through a glass darkly" asthe apostle Paul referred to it in a moment of anxiety,he denied the Presence. Then, "seeing face to face,"s tanding in the real i ty of sp i r i tua l t r u t h , he wentforth, no longer a denier but a va l iant soldier of theChrist principle of God.

You no longer doubt tha t which is revealed to youas truth; because of the mental and physical infirmityof those who come to your a t t en t ion , you are wellaware t h a t the power of God is t h e grea t physicianand tha t through the renewing of the mind, man canexperience the fullness of spirit.

The name, Peter, coming down from the Aramaic,through Hebrew and Greek, the word was and is "pet-ros," mean ing light, and wha t g r e a t e r blessing canman of Ear th become to his fellowman, t han he wholights the darkened places? And who abides in greaterdarkness , t h a n he who abides or dwells in menta ldarkness, the darkness of superstition, ignorance andfear?

It was upon this "Peter or Petros", tha t the Christof God, incarnate in the flesh embodiment, of he whowas accepted and known as Jesus, founded the assem-bly of t r u t h . Tha t is the only church which theNazarene establ ished; not a bui ld ing of stone and

wood and brick, not made with hands, but tha t whichis eternal in the heavens.

You, dear ones, unde r s t and well, and you shallremember tha t He likewise said, "The kingdom of Godis within you." God is always in his heaven and wherethe kingdom of God is, so is heaven. Heaven thenbecomes a s ta te of consciousness. Never forget th i struth.

You will remember when the Christ incarnate inJesus appeared before Peter upon the troubled waters,he said to Peter, "It is I." And as long as Peter kept hissight steadfast upon the Christ light, he walked uponthe troubled waters. But when he removed his visionfrom the Christ light, he began to sink and cried untothe Chris t l ight for help. Yes, he cried; he called forhelp; and because he cried and called, he received.

The Christ light of God inspired the man of Galileeto make th i s s t a t emen t , "Seek and you shall find,knock and the door shall be opened, ask, and ye shallreceive." What has man to give to his fellowman? Thet ru th ! All else fails. And blessed is he or she whowalks in the l ight of sp i r i tua l t r u t h and can say totheir fellowman, 'You are a spiritual being, the imageand the likeness of God."

What grea ter comfort, what greater consolation,what greater succor can man share with his fellowmanthan shar ing the realization tha t in God, there is noseparation? Where there is light, there is no darkness.Where there is t ruth, there can be no error.

Blessed is he who believes and has nei ther seennor heard. God is unseen, God is impersonal, but hiswonders can be seen. God becomes personalizedthrough the radiance of the man or woman who, atlong last, has risen in consciousness and claimed with-out fault or failing his oneness with God.

We impose no task; the yoke is easy and the bur-den is light. Willingness in the service of God and theCouncil of the ancient myst ical Whi te Brotherhoodalways opens a channel for inspiration. Never be fear-ful. No one of you ever need be fearful to speak thetruth.

I t is not a lways possible to speak the t r u t h , asmany of your doctors of Ear th , who give sugar-coatedpills, have found out. Truth may sound harsh to manywho listen, and it may tas te a little bi t ter while it isbeing swallowed, but it shall ring a bell of happiness.As bit ter as the tas te may be when the individual isswallowing it, through the process of mental digestion,it shall become sweet as honey. Of course, not one ofyou are ever going to be rude, ever. That is not neces-sary, and neither shall you meet with defeat. The fur-ther along the path you travel , the greater degree ofsensitiveness shall you experience.

When man opens the inner recesses of his spiritualconsciousness, he shall unders tand all tha t which heperceives th rough his five physical senses to thedegree t h a t he shall be able to sepa ra te the whea tfrom the chaff. Ere long, the power of t ru th shall have

so grown t h a t the man shall no longer desire t h a twhich is contrary to t ruth.

Solomon was expediently wise when he s ta ted ,"Get wisdom, get unders t and ing , and forget it not;wisdom is the principle thing." The Galilean said, "Iand the Father are one; there are none perfect, no notone. Yea, not even I, bu t the Fa the r which dwellethwithin me." Here J e s u s was separa t ing the whea tfrom the chaff. Do not overlook t h a t fact t ha t , as a young child, He was tu tored by the pr ies ts of theLevitical temple, but in soul growth, He far surpassedthem in unde r s t and ing . Those who sought to teachHim, when He quest ioned them, the pr ies ts of thetemple became frightened.

As He grew into manhood, He walked the high-ways and the byways of life, holding the torch of t ru thaloft. He asked none to follow Him, but He held thetorch of t ha t divine unders tanding, incarnate in theflesh habi l iment of those who desired to learn; thenthey, of their own desire, followed Him. His wisdomhad become understanding, and thus the understand-ing shown forth as the divine intelligence of Jesus ofNazareth, the incarnate Christ of God.

Remember, there is but one light, the Christ light,the I AM of God. There is none other and though mor-tally, man may reject tha t light, the indwelling Christ(of which man is) cries aloud, "I would behold thelight; I would behold the light."

Mark you well, the time shall come when throughthe region of the solar plexus, in the soul's seat of thesun, though you stand there with your eyes shut tight,you shall feel those who are accepting and those whoare rejecting. Remember, nothing is ever permanentlyrejected, for that which is listened to, establishes a pic-ture. That which is looked upon establishes a picture.Therefore, it is wise for man to listen to the best andto look upon the beautiful.

The only th ing m a n possesses is t h a t which hefreely gives, and it costs nothing of earthly fare to givelove. The more love is given, the more the re is foraccumulated love. When m a n has given up the oldunders t and ing for the new unders t and ing , he shallthen be in agreement, for, "Behold, the old things havepassed away and all things have become new", again."When I was a child, I spake as a child, bu t when I became a man, I put away childish things. Then, I didsee th rough a glass darkly, now I see face to face.Faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of theseis love."

Oh yes, you will find tha t when man first begins togrow in the light of the Christ, and it becomes neces-sary for him to meet problems because fellow wayfar-ers along the pa th do not u n d e r s t a n d and arerebellious to the t ruth, it then may become a trifle dif-ficult to radiate love. Then let it radiate silently, andyou shall become the beaconlight upon a rugged coast.

As man wills to decrease his mortal will, it is thenhe says, "Thy will be done, O Lord." He is saying,"Increase thy image, the light of Divine Intelligence,the Chr is t mind, increase thy image in wisdom, inme." That is experiencing the regeneration; that is thesum total of humility. "Thy will be done. All there is inthe g rea t pa t t e rn of life has been, is now, and evershall be." Humility, humbleness of hea r t spells suc-cess.

Man is a spi r i tua l being; all t h a t the F a t h e r is,man becomes in his unders tand ing . He is t h a t now,but he experiences the fullness of the vastness becauseof his understanding of God.

All t ha t which mainta ins a perfect balance in lifemust have a center. The scales of life never balance bybut one side. As you are becoming interested in whatman has called the secrets of life, you will find, intruth, life holds no secrets. It is only as man does notapply himself. Silence, silence, and in the silence ofthe soul, desire to become conscious of the oneness ofbeing. Then further desire to become in greater con-sciousness, the fullness of being. Then with a furtherdesire to understand, all tha t which rests in the hear tcenter of the E te rna l Being. Then as Solomon said,"Speak to the heart of Eternal Being and say, "Give menaught but wisdom, Eterna l One, t ha t I may under-stand."

There is no such th ing as sacrifice. There is nosuch thing as suffering. Man has misinterpreted the

words "sacrifice" and "suffering:" they spell but toler-ance to circumstances and conditions in what you calllife's pattern, faithfulness to principle, but they knowno deprivation. Man of Ear th cannot deprive himselfthrough faithfulness. When the hour of achievementcomes, you will rejoice, and you shall become drunk,but wi th sp i r i tua l wine, which shal l not make youdrunken.

"Time is not, distance cannot be, memory holds itscherished reflection." All your journeys , all of yourprogress started with unfaltering faith, faith in othersas well as yourself. Fai th is necessary in every man,woman, every person that you attract to yourself. Bideyour t ime in faith, each step t aken in faith is neverlost. The m a n or woman who goes forth on life's seawith God as the captain, God as a partner , althoughthe path be across seas uncharted and whatever maybe his business, having God as a partner in everythingthat man espouses, that man or woman will never fail.

Woe betide unto the m a n or woman who says, "Ishall lift myself up by my own bootstraps." He will stillfind himself or she will find herself in the muck andmire of self-righteousness. We reject no man; we drawno line of separa t ion. It m a t t e r s not to us who manhas been; it matters not to us what man is, and we arelooking far beyond the contour of the flesh tenementand are beholding the Godman, perfect in the presenceof God.

As we have previously said, tha t looking beyond tothe spi r i tual s t r a igh tens every crooked road. Thecrooked body, so to speak, is a crooked road, throughwhich the soul has t raveled, but now mus t makestraight the way. That is common sense logic, is it not?

In the world of commerce, the re are men andwomen who are receptive to spiritual leading, but theyat t r ibute it to a wisdom of their own. Deception doesnot las t forever, you know. Jus t ice mus t reign andpeace among men in the commercial world mus t beestablished.

Liberat ion of the masses from ignorance mus tcome. Man must learn tha t he is one in spirit, one intruth, for t ru th is nonexistent without love. We, of theCouncil, of the ancient mystical White Brotherhoodlove you all, and when man of Ear th can do likewise,he shall have enriched the universe.

Go forth wi thout fear, continue the service youhave rendered, walk in the path of humility, and youshall meet the high price of the calling of God, which isvictory over the carnal mind, and the establishment ofthe Christ mind. This victory will come to you. Thosewho come to you seeking and all those who cross yourpath, will touch the aura of your garment , your con-sciousness, the righteous use of the consciousness ofthe Christ mind.

Remember, we love you and are every ready to leadyou upward to greater illumination.

GRATITUDE AND RETRIBUTION

We heard your call and came to share your love,and in accepting your love, will you accept ours? Weare happy to consider th i s ano ther opportuni ty toreveal and part the veil of the temple of God, that thelight may shine. Truly, he who is seeking and he whounderstands wends his way to the portals of our sanc-tum. This is no mystery, for in the light of God's eter-nal truth, there is no mystery.

All t h a t which you have experienced is but thebeginning. The end thereof you seek not. He whowalks the path of God beholds not the end of the road.He is but interested in the road and the experienceshe will encounter, as he travels the road. There is noweariness of the flesh to him who serves God, as onlyin his consciousness he would behold weariness.

There are teachers on our side of life, who wouldbe sent and wend their way to you. Man cannot seekto find t r u t h and be una t t ended . Truly, i t h a s beenspoken tha t the teacher shall be provided in due sea-son. There is no retrogression, it is ever onward, for-ward and upward. There is no turning back.

You will ever be mindful of this, dear hear ts , tha the or she on the physical plane, who has dedicated hislife to the service of his fellowman, serves God. He orshe who goes forth to teach, leads man of Ear th fromthe wilderness of doubt into the light of understand-ing. With each lesson the teacher expounds, he or she,too, grows, even as the student. Growth is eternal. Asyour heart's desire sends forth the clarion call for guid-

ance, thus at tracting to you various teachers, you arerendering unto God a most precious service.

Why should there be a teacher, if there is no one tobe t augh t? Therefore we admonish you to cont inueyour quest . Whatever seeming disappointments youmay have experienced in that which you have learnedto call the past (disappointments because of the seem-ing expressions of ingratitude), were but at the t imewhen you were passing through the regeneration. Youwill remember, in previous discourses, we have men-tioned that the paths of men do not cross, one touchingthe other, but for the reason t h a t they have crossedbefore.

When has man given and when has man received?Volumes upon volumes have been wr i t ten upon thelaw of re t r ibut ion . Read as you may, t r u t h is bu trevealed through experience, and in no other manner.It is a blessing tha t all of the past is not revealed toman, lest he would live in greater self-accusation thanhe does.

It is but mortal to question why there is seemingdisappointment. Have we not mentioned, dear ones ofGod, t h a t each experience is a lesson? Have we notlikewise ment ioned, when appearance of advers i tymakes itself known, or shall we say, when retributionmakes itself known through the appearance of adver-sity, let man say to himself, "How have I earned this?I shall meet the challenge of life with love."

You will remember we have likewise spoken to youin this manner, whenever it becomes man's opportu-nity to render a kindness, it is but because somewherealong life's pa th , and the pa th is endless , there hasbeen a kindness rendered. Now that you have met thechallenge, and it has become your desire to follow thepa th of regenera t ion , you will find t h a t you will nolonger be deceived, as deception is understood.

Each one whom you meet shall carry a scale andupon tha t scale, in its balance, they shall weigh theirown worthiness or unwor th iness . We have told youtha t now, in this present incarnat ion, you have metwith those who expressed ungratefulness. We do notdeny having agreed with you tha t it was a lesson toyou also; therefore do not measure yourself short withthe yardst ick of judgment . Judge no one. You wereworthy, and you remain worthy, and the appearance ofunworthiness expressed upon the par t of those untowhom you bestowed your kindness can never destroyyour worthiness.

You will find tha t lesson beautifully na r r a t ed inthe 6th and 7th chapters of the book according to therecord of St. Matthew. "Let the dead bury the dead."Those who express ingrati tude injure but themselves.It cannot come nigh your dwelling, only as you acceptit, and you shall never accept ingra t i tude . It is notyours. Remember, you did not create it; your gracious-ness did not express it.

Shall you say to yourself (and I am speaking oftha t par t of life's path previous to this embodiment),"Where along the path could I have expressed ingrati-tude? It mus t have been, or it would not be soexpressed to me." Remember, dear ones, do not acceptingratitude as an injury. Listen: do not accept it as aninjury, for it has not injured; you have met the chal-lenge and the record is cleared and clean. The ingrati-tude expressed has not depleted your resources. Stopfor a moment and reason to the contrary. Dear ones,your increase has been multiplied.

Ingrat i tude cannot impoverish those who expressthrough love. Tha t is not in keeping with the law ofGod.

All t h a t man enjoys, even though he has experi-enced ingrati tude, is proof sufficient tha t the love heexpressed has blessed both himself and the one uponwhom it was bestowed.

Let's go back again to ingratitude. Cut loose, sendback tha t which does not belong to you, since you didnot create it. Send it back with a blessing of love, evenas you expressed yourself in love in the beginning. Forthe Master has said, "I shall not look for sacrifice, I shall have mercy." For every comfort and peace ofmind you are enjoying at this very hour, it is becausesome k indness expressed in love dropped from theextended hand, your hand. Remember, "Let the deadbury their own dead."

Look not over your shoulder at t h a t which mancalls the past, not even a peek. Moreover, say to your-self, "My ship of state is on the high seas. It rides inpeaceful wate rs and knows no storm." If m a n couldlook into the record book in the heart 's consciousnessof those who express ingra t i tude , m a n would say,"Thank God, I behold not such in the record of myheart."

You shall not labor in vain. The yoke shall be easyand the burden light. In t ru th , you shall not want. Int ruth , you shall be able to say, "The Lord (law) is myshepherd, I shall not want (all my needs are supplied).My Father, our Father, who ar t in heaven, hallowed,loving, adorable, revered in my hea r t is Thy name."Love is the precious ointment. It is the balm of Gilead.Love always expresses a happy appreciation when itsees love being expressed through another 's hand, forlove is the ointment from the a labas ter box of devo-tion. Love heals. Live, dear hearts , and help others tolive through the love tha t God pours forth, using youas the vehicle of his oil of love.

SPIRITUAL RICHES

One of the Brotherhood speaks:

To each one of you we bestow a blessing, and weare grateful for your continued spiri tual quest. Mancannot defeat the Law of God, and as man will use theLaw of God righteously, God shall continue to supplyall of man's needs. Therefore may I refer to the lonely,humble Gali lean when he said, "According to theriches of God, according to the riches in the glory ofGod, shall your needs be supplied."

At this very moment , na tu re , Mother Na tu re , isproducing and reproducing, producing and reproduc-ing, which is proof positive, t h a t the world is never

coming to an end. There may be an end of cycles; theculminat ion of periods of t ime, bu t the world shallnever come to an end, for God is endless.

There is nothing before God, there is nothing with-out God, God is all there is, the sum total of all life.Blessed is the man who followeth not in the seat of theungodly, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, for hisdelight is the Law of God. He shall be as a t ree ,planted by the rivers of the waters of life, and his leafshall not wither.

Unto each m a n of Ea r th , after his own desire,comes forth that which man has learned to call experi-ence. There was a time when we, too, trod the physicalplane of life. Some of our number experienced rebirthupon reb i r th . Now those of us who have been herethrough what you of Ear th call ages, single out thosewho now travel the mundane plane, t ha t their t imeshall be so employed that upon release from the physi-cal body, they shall find here, within our number, theirpriestly inheritance.

It is possible for members of our Council to workout to the minutest detail all that is necessary for man(physically incarna te ) to know. But it would meandepriving man of the necessary growth. Therefore weare desirous of planting tiny seeds, sufficiently largeenough, small as they may be, tha t man may nurturethem with his every precious goodly desire . In sodoing, see the seeds grow forth, expressing every pos-

sible beauty. It is well for man to think and his think-ing should at all times be constructive.

There are many on the mundane sphere of life whosay, "Why the necessi ty of prayer?" P rayer is b u tanother form of expressing thoughts. Prayer is a pro-found manner of thinking, particularly so when man'sprayer is a prayer of thanksgiving. While in a state ofprayerful meditation, man is opening the door whenceall wisdom may enter.

As s t range and myster ious as i t may appea r toman, when prayer is not immediately answered, it isbecause man has failed in his th inking to recognizethe goodness, the graciousness of all tha t which he hasexperienced.

All prayer is answered, even tha t which, at t imes,is not immediate ly supplied. For t h a t power whichm a n has learned to call God knows the answer toman's desires before they are expressed. Quite often,man prays for the g ran t ing of some favor, and t h a tpower, known to man as God, says, "My Child, you arenot ready for tha t , when you have grown, you shal lhave it."

Time passes, and in tha t which man calls the fardistant future, tha t request is granted, but man failsto recognize the source from which it has come. Hefails to recognize, in what he has called the long ago,the prayer for t h a t par t i cu la r favor. Whe the r heremembers or not, he shall graciously say, "I t h a n k

you, God. For out of the fullness of the heart of EternalLove, this has come to me."

Remember, all error is but temporary. That is true,but it retards man's growth. Therefore, in speaking tosomeone, in a iding someone with a problem, speakwords of wisdom wisely and carefully. Watch theexpression of the faces of those with whom you speakand you shall understand whether they are, or are notaccepting.

Put yourself in their position, remembering whenyou started your quest for spiritual knowledge. Whenyou see thei r brows wrinkled and their countenanceexpress r e sen tmen t , you shall know t h a t you havegiven a sufficient amount for that time. Then let yourconversation be in te rms in which they are familiar.T ha t is sowing the seed. You will see the i r counte-nance change, and inwardly, they are saying, "Now heis selling us something we understand."

As they open their thinking to tha t which they dounderstand, the seeds you have dropped fall into fer-tile soil, and they will be able to accept them. Theywill be able to accept t hem with t h a t which theyunders tand. The seeds will find lodgment in a fertilementa l womb. In due t ime, a new babe, a new ideashall be born.

Whatever your religious intentions have been, holdfast. Whatever your conception of God has been, let itnow become quickened in t ru th . How well you dearones of Ear th understand tha t the Infant (as you refer

to the lowly born body of Jesus) mus t learn . Yet, inconsciousness, the soul of the tiny infant body has allunde r s t and ing necessary, for it has t raveled life'ssands myriads of times.

But you will say to us of the Council, "Why does ithave to learn when it has all the wisdom necessary?May we be privileged to ask you, why was it necessaryto r e tu rn?" For the reason tha t mor ta l confusionproved to be a barrier to the expression of Divine Wis-dom.

It is never necessary for man to leave his body, tobecome wise unto the creative power of t h a t whichman has recognized as God. Therefore, it is our desire,at th is t ime, to lead you in the first s teps of h igherunde r s t and ing in t ru th . Man is a child of the g rea tcosmic universe . As man grows spiri tually, heexpresses the Great Oversoul, and he begins to realizethat reincarnation is a living t ruth and a reality.

It is for t h a t reason we desire collaborators andteachers with whom we may entrust lessons, with themessage of life. We would not speak in derogatoryterms of the many teachers who have endeavored toteach the story of life. When we do find a man orwoman who is willing, who will, with the regeneratedwill, forsake phantoms and fancy as well as fables, towalk in the path of God's light, we call tha t one. Again,we repea t to those who are answer ing the call andmaking the choice: it is they who become the chosenones of their own individual choice.

Learn this t r u th well and no longer will life be a mystery to you. Listen, dear hear t s , there is but oneGod. Regardless of how the myriad t eachers havetaugh t , the re is but one God; the re is bu t one life;there is but one manifestation in the absolute of God.

Would you meet the Chr i s t of God, as you walkalong the highways and the byways of life? As youbehold your fellowman, regard less of the ou twardappearances of the physical habi l iment , you beholdand you will meet the Christ of God.

For remember, t he physical hab i l iment cannotexpress life wi thout the indwell ing Chr is t of God.Creeds, ceremonies, rituals, and mant rums are not ofChrist, in the presence of God. Do not deny the LivingGod because of man-conceived r i tua ls . It is for t h a treason it became necessary for the birth of the Infanthabi l iment . Man has become deceived. Behold thelight, for the light dispels all darkness. The Galileancame to teach t ruth.

Man has erected shr ines , a l ta rs , and temples indedication to the humble Gali lean. The Gali leanwalked the road; he entered temples which man haderected for only one reason, to tell the story of the Liv-ing God. You will remember his words when he said,"And in t h a t day, when ye shall cry unto me, 'Lord,Lord, have I not healed the sick? Have I not cast outdevils? Have I not t hus and so, t h u s and so, in Thyname?' I shall say unto ye, depart from me ye workersof iniquity, I know thee not."

Now, when man expresses himself as "mixed up ina problem," who is mixing what you refer to as a prob-lem? Be still and be unpersuaded by mortal mind, andyou shall get the answers , j u s t as you have in t h a twhich you refer to as the past.

Humility, dear hear t s ! All the assurance of man-made forgiveness is worthless unless m a n forgiveshimself. For if man does not forgive, where is the reroom in man's thinking for the forgiveness, which theprefect or the potentate has assured man of?

Can you fill a vessel with water when it is alreadyfilled, without losing some of the water? You have a te rm for it, you say, "It is wasted." Wasted, wasted,wasted! Keep the chalice of your hea r t clean andbright, and as it is filled with the wine of life, which isGod's love, drink of it, share it with your fellowman,that there may be more room for more wine and never,never any of it wasted.

Our message to you, dear hear t s , is this : you a reGod's children. There is no man-made ceremony whichcan bring you closer to God than you have been fromthe beginning, and t h a t s t a t emen t is t r u t h . Be notdeceived. Evil communications corrupt good manners.

It does not pay for any individual to become emo-tionally disturbed. It is well for man to become con-cerned about the physical things of life, which are ofvery l i t t le consequence, as far as his physical well-being is concerned, or his peace of mind. We do notmean for man to be negligent, as the word negligence

is understood, but there can be much stress and strainplaced upon what man calls physical order.

There shall never be any task imposed, only themanner, mortally so, in which you may conceive of a service to be rendered as a task. Always remember,your fellowman has the same right to live his portionof life's pa t tern as you desire to live yours. The t ru thmay be ever so real to you as proven in life's pat ternbeyond every shadow of a doubt. Yet, never prosely-tize.

Long before you ever knew any th ing about theancient mystical White Brotherhood, you perhapsknew about it, but it was a hidden mystery. You werereceiving your inspiration and guidance. As you havereceived in the past, so shall you continue to receiveinspiration and guidance.

Quiescence is the key. When man is quiet, when heis happy with his neighbor and finding no fault withhimself and his neighbor, then he is s tanding on thethreshold of the door to the highest possible s tate ofmental ecstasy. Therein lies every treasure for man toclaim.

When you can share light with o thers , share it.When you can speak a word of t r u t h , speak it. Beevery willing and ready to share the story of life.

Humility will carry you well along the path. What-ever may be your rank or station in life, mortally so,never let it become a screen of deception, never.Remember, the physical habiliment, barefoot and cov-

ered with ta t ters and rags, besmeared and besmirchedperchance with the gr ime of the day, t h a t physicalhabiliment is the dwelling place of the Christ of God.

Now, why are we making these statements? Let ustake you back. As you were living life's pa t te rn , youwere not constant ly in a serious frame of mind; youmixed pleasure with contemplation, with the reveriewhich brought peace of mind and peace to your body.

There is a time for man to laugh, a t ime for wha the has called play and also for what he has understoodas serious time. Man can better relax, meditate, con-centrate, and be a trifle serious (if you care to call itsuch) after he has a bit of recreat ion. The physicalbody is justified in having recreation, for then one isrelaxed, happily so. Man was never intended to live a drab inharmonious life.

Consequently, you were able to relax, and let usremind you, please, quite frequently when you werenot expecting inspiration, it was there. Do you remem-ber? Yes, without seeking for it? Remember: a merryheart maketh for good medicine.

Spir i tual r iches a re ever tangible , never lost, asyou unders t and the word lost. Moths do not corruptspiritual riches. Neither can rust corrupt, nor thievesbreak through and steal. He who is spiritually rich isrich, indeed. All else is t ransi tory, constant ly goingthrough some experience, changing e i ther to themountain's heights or the valley's depths.

But when man of Ear th is spiritually rich, he shallhave sufficient light with which to hold fast to that ofworldly accumulat ion which has come from theFather. Remember, man does not dare to possess eventhe physical habiliment in which he dwells. Thereforethe Nazarene said to the rich young ruler, "Give allthou has t and follow me." Also, "Evil communicationcorrupts good manners." For the rich young ruler hadheard them corrupt his good manner , and his firstthought was of his earthly possessions, and he forgothis earthly possessions were not his.

What did the Nazarene mean when he said, "Giveall thou hast and follow me?" Give himself, for all therich young ruler possessed was himself. His earthlywealth was but loaned to him for a season because ofthe goodness and the abundance of God.

God is man's house, and though you are sitting inyour home, in a physical habi l iment , you know welltha t you are ever in the presence of God. Now, whenman has learned that lesson, he shall have no fear, foreven though his fellowman betray him, as you under-stand the word betrayal, he shall overlook the betrayaland behold the Christ of God, even in he or she whomhe calls a betrayer.

Betrayal is a mortal weakness. There shall neveranything cross your path, dear hearts , but what it is a lesson, a lesson disregarded in a former incarnation.Man of E a r t h has never endured an advers i ty butwhat he has earned it; do not overlook tha t fact.

When you claim your spiritual riches, you shall beable to meet any adversity which may thereafter fol-low. When man comes closer to God, the path becomesbright with the light of God, and the peace of Godcomes to man's thinking and fewer are the adversities.Man only becomes disappointed because he expects toomuch. Remember the words of the apostle Paul, whenhe said, "These three, but the greatest of these is love."

We are looking into tha t which man of Ear th hascalled the future; therefore in accepting any dut ies ,whatever they may be, there may be moments whenyour physical assis tance is necessary, in addition toyour spir i tual aid. Humili ty is ever the watchword.Let it be understood that any duty is never in the wayof a command or a demand. We do not desire at anytime to deprive any of our dear collaborators of theirtime necessary to the peace, happiness, and welfare oftheir own individual manner of living life's pattern.

Accept your part or pattern of service, regardless ofwhat it may be, without feeling or accepting any injus-tice or injury to yourselves, individually or collectively.Remember, the field is heavy with grain and the gar-ners are few. The vines are heavy-laden with theripened fruit.

As you labor in love, in peace, and harmony, withhumil i ty ever your watchword, you shall place theripened fruit in the storehouse where it shall benefithumani ty . You shall ga rne r the grapes which hangupon the vine and place them in the winepress of life.

From them, you shall bring forth the sweet nectar ofpeace and happiness to your fellowman.

The whea t and the blood of the grape, and t h a twhich man of Ear th in dedication to his God rendersunto his fellowman, br ings spi r i tua l r iches. All thewealth of the universe is meaningless, without spiri-tual riches. When the fruit of your labors brings peaceand comfort to some troubled hearts , you shall be richindeed, rich unto the richness of God, as well as therichness unto the marrow of your bones. Remember,unselfish loving service, as un to the Father , everrenews the strength of the body.

Now, remember, tha t of service you render is to beconsidered always as "unto God." As you render it inhumility and love, you render it unto your fellowman.What is t he first requis i te of humil i ty? The lowlyGalilean understood this when He said, "Of myself, I am nothing. I t is the F a t h e r which dwelleth withinme." This is surrender in dedication, and humblenessof heart .

Now, those of you who have hea rd the call andanswered, you may yet t u r n your a t t en t ion in theopposite direction, if you so will, if you feel t ha t ourlessons, our admonitions are too difficult to accept. Ifyou yet will follow on with the choice you have made,you will pass through the gate to the illumination ofthe great white light of the Eternal Cosmos.

Within the innermost depths of your heart ' s con-sciousness, you avow yourself, not by word of lip to

man of Earth, and not by lip to God. For God hears theunspoken word, and you shall speak it in the silence ofyour heart 's consciousness. Remember, beloved, shouldyou at any t ime, as you u n d e r s t a n d t ime, desire towithdraw, we, of the Council, never forsake you nordisavow you; because at some time along life's pa th ,which is endless, you shall again pick up the threadsupon life's loom. You shall finish the pattern.

Woe unto the man or woman who seeks fame andfortune without spiritual riches, for he has become assounding brass and a t inkl ing cymbal. He yet seesthrough a glass darkly and has not yet arisen in con-sciousness, where he sees face to face with his God.Remember, humility, humility is ever the watchword.

Happier is the way, however, when you walk in thelight of t r u t h . We as su re you, you can keep youravowal, for you have all a s sumed grea te r mor ta lresponsibili t ies and have kept them very well. Fearnot; remember, "His rod and His staff shall comfortyou."

There are many who are seeking for health of bodyand peace of mind. There are those who are knockingupon the door of the storehouse of God's infinite sup-ply. There are those who are ask ing and those whoshall continue to speak, to knock, and to ask. This isthe reason we seek and search for collaborators, forteachers , th rough whom we can open the way, t h a tthey shall not need to seek long; they shall not need toknock in desperation and anxiety. They shall not have

to ask in a pleading, beggardly manner, for God hasalready provided. You shall not labor in vain, for youare not accepting your labor as a task, but more as a duty; not as an imposed task, for you have graciouslyaccepted through patience, for devotion is patience.Patience always reveals sincerity of devotions.

We bless you in your path of service. Mind youwell, the path of life which you have trod has not beenstrewn with roses and each one of you has sipped froman unsweetened cup. It is only he, who has felt thepangs, who can feel the pangs suffered by his fellow-man. It is only he, who has sipped from the empty cup,who knows of the emptiness thereof. Listen andremember the words of the Galilean when, after hehad been scourged, spat upon, vilified, persecuted andoffered the bitter cup, said, "Father, forgive them, forthey know now what they do." The oil of God's lovenow anoints you and the tapers of righteous illumina-tion burn in your heart's consciousness, as you haveignited it. Let your light shine. We bless each one ofyou; rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is yourreward in heaven.

And the Galilean said, "Know ye not that the king-dom of God is within you?"

With this assurance, God is not afar off. Silentprayer is the manner in which you talk with your God,and in silence, you hear the answer. Never in commo-tion, confusion, never; silence ever. Silence is theavenue that leads to God. Silence removes chaos and

confusion. You hold the key which turns the lock in thedoor to the storehouse of God's infinite riches. Use it!Bless you ever, world without end.

We walk the street called Straight.

We are happy to greet you, beloved, for there is anopen door to the Father 's house. You now stand beforet h a t open door, h a n d s outs t re tched. You now seebeyond tha t open door. There are anxious faces, tear-stained eyes. Weary, worn bodies wait. They wait foryou, dear ones, to lead them through the open door.

Restless become the thoughts of he or she who, inhis soul's consciousness, does say, "Father, you havecalled; I have chosen to follow," and then leave thestreet called Straight . As man is called and the manchooses to follow, he is not asked to sign a scroll norspeak his vow. He but ascribes himself to his God, ashe beholds his God on the street called Straight.

Man is not bound, he is forever free. With the samefreedom tha t God gives man, let man never at tempt todeny his fellowman equal freedom.

Beloved, there is an altar. It is within your heart 'sconsciousness, and upon tha t al tar rests the pricelesst reasure . It is as a newborn infant; it shall grow andhe who does not have the patience to endure with the

growth of the infant, let him, with honor in his hear tsay, "Father, I desire to release myself."

God holds no man in bondage. And when the manwho tastes of the bitter cup in that which he calls thebi t ter past and empties it to the final dregs, only tohave it filled with the blood of the sweet grape,becomes impat ient , t hen let him pass his cup toanother who is willing to dr ink of it. God does notbind; there is no bondage in God.

God's will is free, and to understand the freedom ofGod's will, man makes no imperfect mold and casts noimperfect die. God's will is the die which cuts the t ruepattern. God's will is the mold in which man molds hisperfect portion of life. Let no man of E a r t h measurehis future by the measuring rod of discrepancy, of tha twhich is known as the past.

Impat ience is the measur ing rod of discrepancy.Impat ience has caused every evil which has everbefallen man. Is it too difficult for man to be tolerantwith truth? Is it too difficult for man to walk the streetcalled Straight? What shall man do?

Let man say, "What have I to do with this?" Manmeets nothing along life's pa th but what he has cre-ated. That which man beholds through the five physi-cal senses, man becomes a part of. Therefore we havein our previous visits admonished against covetous-ness. You are about to experience a great revelation,but it shall not serve i ts purpose unless it is lookedupon with love.

We shall not deceive you, you are precious in thepresence of God. Each child is worthy of all that whichhe possesses. Let no m a n of E a r t h say it is God'sdesire t h a t man should deprive and deny himself toserve God.

Serving God brings abundance into full fruition.Man finds it as he walks the street called Straight. Itis God's will, the perfect will, tha t man's heart 's desirebe plentifully, abundantly filled.

The God of t ru th is not cruel; does not rule with a rod of wrath; does not deceive. Remember, evil commu-nications corrupt good manners. The teachers of Earthwho teach a God of cruelty should be mindful, lest theGod of whom they teach measures unto them the man-ner in which they teach.

Let man think before he speaks. Hasty thinking,hasty speech, hasty action! Uncomfortable conditionsarise and that is the manner in which man makes themold and casts the die. How frequently do we hear, "IfI had only known differently."

Beloved, now you know, now you see. Temper yourwisdom with understanding. Lift your physical bodiesin heal th, s t rength, peace and power. Live with yourGod in His heaven, the re lies the s t ree t calledStraight.

There is an old hymn man used to sing: "Take timeto be holy, speak oft with thy Lord." How is man to dothis? It is not difficult, it perhaps is so simple that it isoverlooked.

Breathe a part of your life into your fellowman, soto speak. Remember, dear hea r t s , t he re is bu t onePresence in the universe . For t h a t which m a n h a sused as a weapon of destruct ion shall be convertedinto a mant le of protection. Thus shall come to passthe s ta tement as i t was written, "Man shall beat t heswords into plowshares and till the soil, for in t h a tday, the sword of wrath shall be sheathed forever." Forthere is a God on the street called Straight.

In the Holy Writ, you will read of the M a s t e rJe sus , called the Chris t . He said, "I mus t wi thdraw,but I shall leave with you a Comforter." Tha t Com-forter is but the enlarging of one's own individual self,the spiritual self.

T ha t i s the Comforter m a n shall share , whe resharing is a necessity, spiritually so. For the greates tsharing is spiritual. When man shares spiritually, allneeds are supplied. When needs are supplied, wan t snever become known.

Let man become wise unto God's wisdom. There isan old hymn tha t man used to sing and some still do:"There are no d isappoin tments in heaven." Now,where is heaven? It is within man 's consciousness.When man becomes spiritually awakened, spirituallysatisfied, there are then no disappointments.

When peace, like a river, at tendeth my way,When sorrow, like sea billows roll,Whatever my lot, thou has taught me to say,It is well, it is well, with my soul.

When m a n unde r s t ands t ha t soul and spiri t areone, and being one, are indestructible, the infirmitiesof the flesh vanish. God speaks spiritually.

In the beginning was the Word and the Wordbecame flesh. And the Word continued to become flesh.Woe to man of Ear th who says to another, "It cannotbe done, you cannot do it. You will never heal yourbody." That is a word, is it not? Should man be proneto accept tha t word? Whether he speaks it audibly ornot, he is using that word, is he not? He is creating theflesh within his temple, either tha t of dis-ease, if it becontrary to t ru th , or wholeness of the body, if it is inharmony with t ruth.

God is the perfect word. Hence, the t r u t h of theNazarene , "Man liveth not by bread alone, but byevery word which proceedeth from the mouth of God."God speaks t ruth. God is positive. Now is the acceptedtime. There is no tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes today.Yesterday was but another day. All the good is to beremembered. Whatever has been contrary to good is tobe forgotten, if it was ever recognized. Now is theaccepted time.

Remember, each one of you, this is the working ofthe Law of God. Listen carefully, should anyone be inneed of ass is tance , ask them, "What do you desiremore t han anything else in the world?" You who feelthe weight of their chaos, their desire should be peaceof mind, heal th of body, these two. With peace of mindand health of body, all needs are satisfied.

Health of body is the child of peace of mind. Hav-ing peace in God, for having peace of mind in God ishaving peace wi th God. When man 's t h ink ing is atpeace, he reaches forth into the fullness of the EternalCosmos, which man has learned to call God.

Mind you well, dear hearts, there is only one mind:the mind of God, and so as man rises in consciousness,free from all tha t which is sordid and troublesome, hetouches the mind of God. The greates t desire in theworld, the greatest treasure, is peace of mind.

Listen, each one of your fellowman is entitled, byright of birth, according to his choice, his desire to fol-low t h a t pa th of his choice. Man, mortally, is to behelped. Regardless of the path he pursues religiously,grant it to him, g ran t it to him. Be he of the Romanfaith, the Anglican faith, etc., it matters not, as long asexpressing faith in wha t he believes will aid him tofind his God.

But do not proselytize. Every man has a r ight tobelieve in t h a t which he desires to believe. There isonly one desire that you should have, and tha t is help-ing m a n to u n d e r s t a n d t h a t God is a living reality.Also, tha t he shall ever bow mentally in humble genu-flection before God. It is, therefore for tha t reason wehave likewise said, "No negative thinking." God is myfortress; God is my shield and buckler; God is my all ofeverything, tha t is, I am God's child."

O yes, there may be the appearance as man under-stands it, with a twinge of pain or some other manner

of physical defect. You know, dear hear t s , the bell ofthe belfry of a church rings forth calling man to wor-ship. Go and commune with the Father.

The sages of the Fa r E a s t sound the i r cymbals,calling the i r own to worship. So what is pain in thephysical body; how is man to unders tand it? It is thebell in the church belfry r inging forth, "Come let usworship; I am not afraid; I live, I live, I live, t hankGod, I t h a n k you, Father ." Rest and claim it: yours t reng th and oneness with the Fa the r ; claim it, forthere is much work to do.

You are g leaners , ha rves te r s in the field. Claimyour birthright, live in the fullness of God's light andlove; let nothing discourage you, for you are co-rulerswith God now.

DEDICATED TO THE PRESENCE OF GOD

One of the Brotherhood speaks:

There is but one Presence, the Pres-ence of God the good.

There is but one Presence in theuniverse, God the good.

I am now immersed in Perfect Being,God the good.

The created Presence of God in allmankind of Earth,

I behold God the Good.May I ever see in spirit and in t ru thThe Perfect Being! God the good.

For eons of time, the masters of the ancient mysti-cal White Brotherhood have waited for the opportu-nity of sha r ing with you the l ight of t r u t h . As theNazarene has spoken, so it has become evident in yourlife when he said, "I have come tha t they might havelife and have it more abundantly." Also, from the penof a poet has fallen the following:

Would you have life abundant?Love doubles for All you give;

There is a means no surer thanhelping someone to live.

In th is very hour, when many are in te res ted indestruction, your lives have been dedicated to life andlife more abundantly. As you lay your head on its pil-low of rest, lay it there, dear ones, with the assurancethat your waking moments have not been wasted, norlived in vain.

There are many dear souls who have a desire toreincarnate and return to the Ear th plane as teachers.

Thus the vacancies they leave shall be filled by thesouls tha t have served on the inner plane, who are onour side of life wait ing, having been instructed, andready to move forward.

There are no plans to be made for immediate pro-cedure, for remember, plans are not necessary whendesire is righteous. As we have previously discussed,plans quite often savor with the misguidance of theunregenerated centers. You have acquired knowledge,and the knowledge which you have acquired has ledyou into the pa th of wisdom. Now, the Godman, ofwhich you are a part, is beginning to enfold you in thefullness of divine principle.

Man never knows the length and b read th or thedepth of the words he ut ters , but it eventually comesto pass and at an unexpected moment, you hear thegreat tidings of good news. As you have walked alongthe path of life, you have lifted many who have beenburdened.

The joy of living is the joy of giving. When the word"giving" is mentioned, the average individual thinks ofshar ing something physical or mater ia l , and t h a t iswell. However, the grea tes t giving and the grea tes tsharing is more often in the speaking of a kindly word,a silent prayer. Such is never lost and the seeminglyintangible becomes the tangible; tha t which is spiri-tual never perishes.

Remember the words of the lowly Galilean, "Ouryoke is easy, our burden light." You will never hea r

from any member of the Council these words, "Youmust , it is our command, it is our demand." You willnever hear that . For according to the richness of yourdesire is the glory or the beneficence which you experi-ence. You shall always be willing and ready in full sur-render and love to tell the story of tha t which sustainsyou, prospers you, and keeps your every affair in per-fect order.

For those of you who are so desirous to dedicateyourselves, we shall be wai t ing to lead you throughthe gate of illumined consciousness to the full aware-ness of your divinity and t h a t of all mank ind . Con-tinue to follow the light of life as it is now.

There shall be a day, however, in the advancementof mor ta l man , when guidance from the world t h a tman now calls the unknown, shall be accepted in itst r u t h and entirety. Man uses the t e rm, "Historyrepeats itself," and in t ha t experience of mortal manwhich man of Ear th refers to as the Dark Ages of thepast , mor ta l m a n then relied upon t h a t which wasgathered from the so-called "world of the unknown."As man advances, he again shall come to the realiza-tion that there is nothing hidden.

There is an E te rna l Source of Wisdom, and it isfrom the Eterna l Source of Wisdom (call it what youwill) tha t all revealings come forth. It is for tha t rea-son t h a t disembodied m a n finds mor ta l m a n in a receptive or what is known as a passive state. That is

brought about in man's thinking, mortal man's think-ing, in order tha t the contact be properly established.

There is no wisdom other t han Eterna l Wisdom,there cannot be, for m a n is an e ternal being. Whenmortal man makes a careful analysis of the wisdom ofthe masters, man will find the wisdom has its origin inone eternal womb. Call it God, Nature, call it what youwill. Let man of Ea r th not be interested in labels ort i t les or any par t icu lar categories. Let man becomeinterested in the Eternal Source and then man shallnot be misguided.

We of the Council can explain it briefly in th i smanner. There is but one mind, what man has learnedto call the mind of God. Mortal man must make con-tact with t h a t E te rna l Mind. How does m a n accom-plish t h a t contact? Through but one known avenueknown as thought.

It is therefore a s ta tement of t ru th that , "as m a nthinketh in his heart, so is he." As we have mentionedbefore, the h e a r t of m a n is found in the uppermos tpar t of the h u m a n form known as the head or cra-nium, commonly referred to as the brain. Now, God, orPrinciple, resides in the brain only as man th inks inte rms of God mind or Godlike. Regardless to w h a tdegree man is in contradiction with that statement, itdoes not make it of less value in t ruth.

When m a n th inks Godward or Godlike, he isclaiming the power of tha t which is known as super-conscious mind. In his constructive thinking, he has

tapped the eternal source of supply. Hence, rebirth ist ru th . As mor ta l m a n uses the t e rm, "eventually,"eventually, man shall be one with the Infinite.

To those dear ones who are continuing their pur-suit in spir i tual light here and now, in this incarna-tion, this pursuit annihilates all desire to re turn againto claim another physical habiliment, to finish the les-son; you can finish it now.

The greatest barriers to the great illumination arecriticism, doubt, intolerance, and self-gratification.The last is the greatest of those barriers. Therefore wecontinually suggest humili ty. Again we say, call itwhat you will: God, Nature , Supreme Principle, it isnot the name, the t i t le , the category in which i t isplaced. It is the recognition and then the application.

Whatever is acquired in man's sojourn along thephysical highway of life, the recognition of these, bethey mate r ia l weal th or t a l en t s , i t shall be done inwise, "Through whatever avenue I have acquiredthese, whether it be by the sweat of my brow or by myleisure, I have acquired it because of the abundance ofthe oneness with the Eternal Principle of life."

If we, of the Council, were to mention our regard,our respect, our love, our admirat ion for the variousphysical channels we a re permi t ted to expressthrough, we could express it, not in many words, butwith one word, humility. I t is the humble soul t h a tbecomes the receptive channel, the soul that is not car-ried away by self-gratification. Humility is the key of

the receptive soul and sincere prayer of gra t i tude isthe first approach to humility. "It is not I who doeththe work, but the Father , the Divine Presence, whodwelleth within." "I and the Fa the r are one." TheDivine Presence: "All I am is of the great I AM," onewith the Father, the eternal, Divine Principle within.

Always remember the principle known to man ofEarth as Father, is Father and Mother. Therefore manof Ear th shall learn to say, "Father-Mother God" and"All I am, all I possess is of the Father."

How many men and women of your mortal planehad the rude awakening to find themselves (as it is soexplained in the mortal plane) penniless, because theyhad been used to fabulous sums and never gave recog-nition to the Presence as the source through which thefabulous sums did come? They were unable to mee tthe mortal crises and resorted to t h a t which m a n ofEar th knows as "taking their own life."

When mortal power, mortal prestige, mortal rank,mortal station were removed, all were only tangible,and the spiritual had been neglected, there was noth-ing for man to cling to. Therefore when the humbleNazarene was breaking his farewell crust of bread, hesaid, "Before the cock crows twice, I shall be denied, I shall be betrayed, I shall be forsaken."

Each of the chosen twelve said, "Is it I, Lord, is itI?" Pe te r said, "Master, I shall die with thee." ButPe te r thr ice denied before the cock crowed, J u d a sbetrayed, Thomas doubted, and the man Jesus stood

physically alone before Caiphas, his accuser. From theouter court, Peter listened, ashamed and afraid to beknown as a disciple of the humble Nazarene.

J u d a s be t rayed Je sus , and in so be t raying,betrayed his own b i r th r igh t with the Presence , forth i r ty pieces of silver. Yet they had lifted the cuptogether, they had broken bread together, a physicalact in which they had pledged the i r sp i r i tua l alle-giance, but they beheld it not in consciousness.

When the spir i tual presence t h a t once t enan tedthe physical habiliment of the man Jesus , when tha tspiritual presence entered a room through doors thatwere locked and barred, there were but eleven disci-ples left, and they cringed in terror. J u d a s haddestroyed his physical habil iment. How does man ofE a r t h lock himself away from the Presence? How?Through the act of self-r ighteousness, not spiri tualr ighteousness , which is a dedication unto the Pres-ence.

Again, may we repeat, God is no respecter of per-sons, and God can only become personified throughthe m a n n e r in which morta l man, in his th inking,desires to rise into the height of Godmind and person-ify the Godmind in his portion of life's pat tern as it isallotted to him to live. It is as simple as that .

That is the message we are desirous of passing toman through the physical collaborators whom we calland who choose to follow. Man can only be as Godlikeas he, in his thinking, desires to be, and desire creates

the pat tern. Man lives the pat tern as he created it inhis desire, be it one incarnation or many. For in DivinePrinciple, a day is likened unto a thousand years anda thousand years unto a day.

Though there may be persecutions and rejectionsof t r u t h and of those who reveal it, t he re shall everremain the chosen. What do we mean by chosen onesof God? God has chosen all his creation, but when mandecides to choose t ru th from error, r ight from wrong,he has chosen the path of good or God; for it is his con-scious awareness of the t ru th of being that makes thechoice.

Man's consciousness i l lumined from the torch oft ru th is well worth whatever manner of persecutionyou may endure. Man is led step by step because hequestions his ability to understand. Questioning one'sability to unders tand proves to be a smoke screen, asit were, before the al tar of revealing.

Man accomplishes nothing, mortally, tha t is worth-while. All t h a t is accomplished is done so from thepower of God. When man shall live at peace with him-self and live at peace with his fellowman, there shallno longer be destructive criticism in his thought struc-ture. He then shall ascend through the regeneration,beyond the confines ( the nar row confines, if youplease) of the mortal.

When educators of schools and universit ies shallcease to denounce God, they shall accept God. Whenthat day dawns, they shall discover tha t all education

they know anything about came from the one sourceand the center of life: God.

Can man create a blade of grass? Can man create a rose? Can man create in his tes t tube, or otherwise,the glory of a physical habiliment? When he can createt h a t th rough morta l achievement , which he shallnever be able to do, man can sustain life but man can-not create life, so let man search his knowledge, spiri-tually.

God is not a form. God is not a creed. God is truth.There is but one light in the universe, the Christ lightof God. Man may climb over the wall into the sheep-fold, but he could not enjoy the peace and comfort ofthe sheepfold because he did not have the experienceof passing through the door.

Man lives in the physical habiliment because he sochooses to do. His choice to so live in the physicalhabi l iment is but to have the physical experience ofpassing through the door of the sheepfold. In so doing,he is undoing the mistakes of the past.

Life is eternal , and well t ha t it is. For when manbecomes obs t ina te with himself in his th ink ing , i twould be merciless if he had not other incarnations inwhich to overcome himself and his unmerciful actswith himself and his fellowman. There are many peo-ple who are groping in da rkness , da rkness of thei rown will and desire, because they know no other way.Perhaps you may say to me, "Can all mank ind bereached?"

When man or woman becomes sufficiently in ter-ested in his fellowman or the spiritual entity and for-gets about outward appearances or mannerisms, andbeholds his fellowman as a spiritual entity as God cre-ated it, then all mankind can be reached.

Woe unto the one who feasts upon his own know-ing and with his idle hands folded upon his bosomsays, "I am secure; let the other fellow find his ownway." Woe betide him, for as we have repeatedlystated, the harvest is great, but the gleaners are few.

Man of Earth has created denominations, not God.Man of E a r t h has created groups, socially, which isanother barrier. Social aspiration may be all r ight inits place, but when it causes man to deny his fellow-man, then it is no longer of God.

Tyranny has accomplished nothing in any individ-ual 's life. Therefore let no m a n of E a r t h , nor anywoman of Ear th , ever become tyrannical with them-selves in their thinking. It is sufficient to be able toovercome one's own individual mistakes, but it is withgreater difficulty that man overcomes the mistakes ofhis fellowman, which he, himself, perchance is t h ecause of his fellowman making. Think th is th roughwell.

You are familiar with the prayer, a part of which isin this wise, "Give us this day our daily bread," mean-ing spi r i tua l sus tenance . You have correlat ive pas-sages of Scripture, "Man liveth not by bread alone, but

by every word which proceedeth forth from the mouthof God."

When the daily bread becomes established in con-sciousness, which is of God, man becomes Godlike asin spirit, he is.

Therefore when he speaks, he speaks with themouth of God. He speaks in truth; he speaks in love;and he speaks with authority, spiritually so, and thereis no fear to be entertained. When man of Earthreceives inspiration, he quite often expresses himselfso, "I do not know why I think this..." He has receivedhis great inspiration, even when he cannot account forit, as to why he so thinks, or why his deep conviction.We are speaking of that which is constructive, youunderstand, then worry not, nor become weary in welldoing. Spiritual power is a tangible power which can-not be destroyed.

We desire, please, to have the truth of the LivingGod, not a living God, for there is but one God, theLiving God, to be shared man to man, as brother tobrother.

As you, dear ones, and all mankind of Earthexpress themselves, there is yet time, for we, of theCouncil, to give expression to truth, which shall eman-cipate man from the darkness of superstitious teach-ings.

There are many highways and byways where the mes-sage of truth must be given and where the barnaclesof error and deception have fallen away into the depthof oblivion, and peace and harmony are being estab-lished. The sea that was rough is now becoming calmand peaceful. All this is being accomplished throughmessages of truth and love.

To those who have dedicated themselves to thatgreat immutable principle of life, which God soordained to be, there is no greater service than that ofservice to one's fellowman. Love is power. Love is light.Love is life.

A teacher of ancient age and one of the supremeteachers of the ancient mystical White Brotherhood,after the Order of Melchizedek, wishes to extend thismessage to you:

"This moment is very precious to us; the fields arerapidly ripening; we are in need of spiritual laborersin the field and in the vineyards. Our decision to callyou to follow with us has not been a decision of a sud-den moment, as you reckon time.

"Do you ask me what is needful in your life, in yourthinking, to sur render t h a t you may serve with us?And I say with us, for we serve with one another. Wemake no demands of surrender . Should you find in .

your th ink ing such thoughts as govern your dailythinking and conduct, an obstruction to your service,we rest assured tha t you shall discard them. Such isour abiding faith with you, our confidence and ourtrust.

"We are not advocates of abolition, for it hasbecome our experience t h a t in due season, throughreasoning and the desire to serve in a greater capacity,whatever shackles that may be binding will fall by thewayside. We rejoice with you, we rejoice with you.

"You are not leaving the mundane sphere of life,quite to the contrary. You are becoming a greater partof your fellowman than ever before. Whatever discrep-ancies may be revealed in your fellowman, you shalllearn to bless. You shall lift the fallen and you shalllead those of unsteady, uncertain pace. The troubles ofhear t you shall learn to comfort, in the same mannerthat you have accepted comfort.

"Each service rendered shall br ing you closer tothe greater Eternal Cosmos of the universe, the LivingGod. Unders tanding shall be the cornerstone of yourtemple and upon tha t altar of your temple shall be thelight of love, unfed by human hands. All of love whichhas been shared with you shall become magnified a thousand times ten thousand.

"Blessed a r t thou, precious ar t thou. The yoke ofthe Father is light and chafeth not the heart. The willof the Fa ther maketh no bearing of distress. Easy isthe yoke, light the burden. Enter in, beloved.

"In the secret chamber of your soul's consciousness,you shall dedicate your honor. You are not bound byoath to man of Earth. You are not bound by oath to theFather of Fathers. Your yea shall be yea to t ruth, andyour nay shall be nay to error, as thou deemest wise tolive.

"Unto thee, I grant peace of mind. For he who ha thpeace of mind knoweth no t roubled hea r t . He wholoveth hath peace of mind.

"Think you not in strangeness of this visit. Man ofEar th had made of me a brazen image, a molten idol!Thou a r t Christ ' s of God, as are all of the Fa the r ' shouse. "Unto thee, I grant thou shalt enter through faith-fulness into the oneness of life, where thou shalt con-sume fur ther desire to ever again t e n a n t anotherphysical body. This unto thee I grant, so shall it everbe. As a hen covereth her young, come unto my breast,in the fullness of the Father 's house. It is finished."

You, dear ones, have conformed to the law of manthat you may render a service to God and your fellow-man. What can hinder you? Naught but your desire toforsake that unto which you have espoused yourself.

He who remains s teadfast is God's ambassador .Disquieting hours come to man, but because of disqui-eting thoughts, it cannot be otherwise. There shall beno disquiet ing thought among you. The m a n n e r inwhich you give of your service, and the cause untowhich you have espoused, shall express love of God.There may come moments when you, dear ones, shallmeet with criticism, only on the part of those who donot unders tand . The reason tha t they do not care tounde r s t and is because of the infancy of the i r soulgrowth, for we are reading the record of thei r unfin-ished scroll of life. Bless you; bless you.

AN ANCIENT ONE SPEAKS

Greetings, sons and daughters of Lux.

Ages before the first stone was laid in the founda-tion of Solomon's Temple, you were bui lders , O sonsand daughters of Lux. It is for tha t reason and noneother tha t you have been guided and guarded from oneembodiment to another so tha t in this hour, you shallbuild a greater temple than tha t of Solomon.

Builders are needed; craftsmen of the Living God,architects of the living, undying, Principle of Life. Youshall only fail should you become confused with thecarnal ideas of mor ta l man , and t h a t we zealouslyguard against.

We have undertaken to lead you, step by step. Youare never commanded to serve. Love inspires you; loveis unselfish, and any m a n or woman in physicalembodiment who learns to t read the unselfish path,travels the path of God.

We are now assembling the pillars of the new tem-ple, O sons and daugh te r s of l ight, t he originalEssenes, the master masons, builders.

Your faith in God, first and foremost, shall neverpermit the selfish arrows of mortal man to ever pene-t r a t e your h e a r t s . These a r rows e m a n a t e from themortal thinking and are sent forth from man's bow ofselfish persecution. As you have faith in God in onemeasure, you shall have faith in God in all measures.

When the confusion of mor ta l t h ink ing crossesyour path, in the stillness of your soul's consciousness,you shall say, "I am no part of you, for I am a daughterof light; I am a son of light."

You shall be like Buddha; you shall not accept theunrighteous act or gift. You shall be like the humbleGalilean; you shall also say, "Get thee behind me, O thou evil." Also, as Buddha and as the Galilean, youshall behold and bless the Chris t light of God in theconsciousness of the one who would disturb the peaceand quiet of your soul.

Remember, likewise, the words of the Nazarene ,the chief elder teacher of the ancient mystical WhiteBrotherhood, after the Order of Melchizedek, when he

said, "I send you forth among wolves in sheep's cloth-ing."

Ever be firm in t ru th , steadfast in your faith andunde r s t and ing in God. Thus you shall remove t hesheep's wool from the ravening wolves and you shallmake of the wolves, lambs. The lambs shall grow intosturdy healthy sheep of the Father ' s pasture.
