KID’S BINGO & PIZZA PARTY FRIDAY, APRIL 8th

Come and join your neighborhood friends on Friday, April 8th at 6:30pm for a bingo pizza party in the social hall! We will be playing Bingo to win prizes while sharing pizza, popcorn and beverages. The cost is $3.00 per person. Please RSVP by April 6th.One parent must stay

with your children during the event.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL SATURDAY, APRIL 9th I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! Join us on Saturday, April 9th from 1pm -2pm at the Pool. We will have everything imaginable to make the best sundae ever! Serving all your favorite ice cream flavors and toppings! The cost is $2 per person; please RSVP with Andrea by April 7th.

YOGA CLASS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13th

Come to the Aerobics Studio on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:30pm, for Yoga Class, four sessions for $30, with Debra Berry a certified instructor! She will take you through the basics of Yoga and help you build core strength, lengthen muscles, and

achieve inner peace. You will be challenged, but not discouraged regardless of experience! Please RSVP with Andrea by April 10th or call Debra at 561-723-2543 for more information about the class and to register.

SPRING EGGTRAVAGANZA SATURDAY, APRIL 16th

Celebrate the arrival of Spring by joining your community in the biggest egg hunt ever! Saturday, April 16th at 11:00am, come to the Pavilion to find over 2000 hidden eggs and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny! Juice and cookies will be served after the hunt. Find the golden egg and win a prize!

Remember to bring your basket! This event is FREE and is for Springs residents only. Please RSVP with Andrea by April 14th, if you plan on attending this spring time event.

SCRAPBOOKING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20th

Do you have a scrapbook project you want to get started or need to finish? Bored by plain photo albums? Start a scrapbooking hobby to preserve your most memorable moments. Come to the Social Hall on Wednesday, April 20th at 7pm

and share your ideas with the other ladies of Canyon Springs on capturing your precious memories. Bring the project you are working on or purchase the pictured kit of the month for $34.50 by April 8th by contacting Sheryl at 561-716-2166. CHICK FLICK THURSDAY, APRIL 21st Ladies you deserve a Girl’s only evening! Come to the Social Hall on Thursday, April 21st at 8pm to enjoy a Chick Flick with your friends and neighbors. Bring your drink of choice because popcorn will be served! Please RSVP with Andrea by April 18th!

MY GENERATION - MEET AND GREET FRIDAY, APRIL 29th This event is for the young-at-heart; empty nesters and baby boomers looking to meet other resident’s in the community that share the same interests. Come to the Social Hall on Friday, April 29th at 7:30pm for a meet and greet. Dessert and beverages will be served. Please RSVP with Andrea by April 25th if you plan on attending.

CREATE IT! - KID’S POTTERY SATURDAY, APRIL 30th

Learn to express yourself while creating a lasting memory! Kids ages 7-11, Come to the aerobics studio on Saturday, April 30th at 1pm to create your very own pottery piece to keep or give to

mom for Mother’s Day. The cost is $20 per child (20% sibling discount); the price includes instruction, the pottery piece (lots to choose from), all supplies and firing of your art. Creations can be picked up after May 4th from Andrea, just in time for Mother’s Day! A minimum of 6 children is needed for this class, so please RSVP by April 26th by contacting Heidi to register at 561-578-0030 or [email protected]. KIDS CORNER

DANCE CLASSES Dance classes every Wednesday and Thursday for your children right here in the Canyons! Classes include Ballet, Tap and Tumbling, Jazz and Balance Beam. The cost for a 10 week course is $115.00 per child. New classes forming for 6-8 years old for ballet tap and jazz beginner and intermediate classes available. Dance recital in June in our clubhouse. Maryann has owned and operated her own studio for many years. She teaches tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe, clogging, acro, and ballroom. She has workshops throughout the country and judges dance competitions all over the United States. GROUP SWIM CLASSES Summer is right around the corner, so let’s get swimming!

Small Fish Big Fish Swim School has something for everyone! Babies & Me (6 mos-3 yrs) Thursdays- 3:30pm-4pm, parents and children learn together to increase a child’s comfort level in the

water and build a foundation of basic skills. Preschool Aquatics (4-5 yrs old) Thursdays-4pm-4:30pm, in this class the children are taught basic aquatic safety, survival and swimming skills. Classes start April 21st – June 9th, each level last for 8 weeks and the cost is $145 per child. KARATE CLASSES This program combines traditional martial arts training with high level charter development, building confidence through achievement. Senpai Fabian was certified in Japan and has provided superior martial arts instruction for over 12 years. By combining traditional values with

modern approaches he will help your child achieve great results both physically and mentally. Classes are every Monday and Wednesday from 5pm-6pm in the aerobics studio. MOMMY & ME MUSIC Help your child increase language development, improve artistic abilities and have fun at the same time. Join the Mommy & Me Music Class in the Kid’s Center every Monday and Thursday at 9:30am. This class is

MOMMY & ME PLAY AND LEARN Are you are looking for something meaningful to do with your child for one hour a week? Along with the teacher, the caregiver models activities such as circle time, story time, music and movement, free play, arts & crafts, and snack time while they encourage the toddler to become more proficient and independent in their play. Classes are Tuesday mornings in the Canyon Isles Aerobic Studio. Class A is from 10-11am for 15-30 months and class B is from 11:30-12:30pm for the 2-4 years old. SWIM LESSONS (INFANT/CHILD) You want your child to enjoy all the fun life has to offer, while ensuring those activities don’t compromise their safety or well-being. When it comes to water-safety and skills, Infant Swimming Resources (ISR) is the safest provider of swimming lessons for babies and toddlers between 6 months and 6 years old. TENNIS PROGRAM Jose Tenorio has 28 years experience in the game of tennis; he is a PTR and ITF professional and is Pat Etchberry certified in conditioning, strength and movement in sports. He has dedicated his life to the game of tennis and has coached around the world! He will introduce the sport of tennis to your children in a professional and fun way. They will learn good technique, coordination, mental strength, and all the benefits that tennis provides for a lifetime. Group lessons are divided by age and ability; and are limited to a ratio of 4:1. Lessons are Monday-Friday from 3:15pm-9pm, Saturday’s 7am-1pm and Sunday 8am to 11am. Please note that between 5pm-9pm daily, lessons are on the east court only and that during these hours the west court is for adult play. Tennis lessons run continuously throughout the year! WATER PLAY DATE FRIDAY, APRIL 22nd

Kids put your bathing suit on, grab a parent & a towel and let’s meet at the Interactive Water Play Area Friday, April 22nd at 3pm; we will share some splash time and Italian ices with our friends and neighbors! Please RSVP with Andrea by April 19th if you are

ACTIVITIES

BASKETBALL PICK –UP GAMES Join your neighbors every Sunday morning at 9:30am at the basketball courts for a fun game of pick-up basketball! All skill levels welcomed! Players will choose up sides and start playing. Remember to wear proper clothing and bring plenty of water. See you on the court!

EXERCISE PARTNERS Are you looking for an exercise partner to workout with at the club? The studies show true; you are more committed and motivated when you work out with someone a partner! Sign up to be matched with other residents to share the same workout dates and times. Are you looking for a morning gym partner 8:30am-10am Monday through Friday to work out 2 to 3 times a week, right now? Contact me and I’ll put you in contact with a partner.

POKER NIGHT Hey Guys want to get out and hang with the boys for a game of cards, then this event is for you! Come to the Social Hall every Tuesday night at 8:15pm! Put on your best poker face and join your neighbors for a fun night out! We will supply the snacks, so bring your drink of choice.

RUNNING / WALKING GROUPS Runners and Walkers meet every Wednesday at 8:30pm in front of the clubhouse. Studies show that Running and /or walking is an excellent way to keep in shape and it’s also a wonderful way to connect with your neighbors in the community. If you are interested in joining a group, starting a stroller walking group or interested in helping to coordinate these groups, please contact Andrea at the clubhouse.

CLUBS BOOK CLUB Do you enjoy reading? Then sign up for the Canyon Springs Book Club. This is a great way to meet other people that love to read! Club members will choose a book and will have about a month to read it. Please contact Andrea to join this club.

WEIGHT WATCHERS Looking to join Weight Watchers? We need 20 serious residents to get these classes started! The meeting would be right here at the clubhouse! If you wish to participate, please contact Andrea to be added to the list.

BALLROOM DANCING Are you interested in taking Dancing Lessons? Now you have no excuse, because dancing has come to the Canyon’s! You will learn Latin, Waltz, Foxtrot and Swing dances. The cost is $66.00 per 6 week course, Singles are welcomed! We are taking names for interest in teen and adult classes offering any phase of dance. Calling all fitness levels! Test your overall strenght and endurance at your own individual fitness level in this highly motivational workout. A new session is starting Saturdays, April 2nd from 9:15am-10am at the Clubhouse. The cost is $40 for the 6 week camp. Pre-registration is required! MENS GROUP TENNIS Want to improve your tennis strokes, your consistency, court coverage, and power. Join our men’s group tennis (maximum of 4 in group) the cost is $15.00 per lesson. WATER FITNESS FOR MOMS AND MOMS TO BE

Spending your pregnancy and post–pregnancy with aquaBelly is a sure way to feel great and look great throughout the coming months. Samantha & Kristy are highly trained and certified in Pre and Postnatal Fitness. Group, private and semi-private classes are available. Classes are every Sunday morning at 9:15am in the pool! YOGA WITH VAFA This 90 minute yoga class is a therapeutic, meditative approach to yoga, which is for all levels and ages. The poses will be modified based on your abilities. You will work out different muscle groups as well as relax your mind, body and spirit. PARTY RENTALS Are you interested in renting the Social Hall or Pavilion for your next event? Please contact Andrea at the clubhouse for rates, terms, and conditions. Only 4 rentals are permitted per month and rentals are available to Canyon Springs residents only.

GUARD GATE INFORMATION To call in your guests, please use the automated system by calling 561-736-3804 and then follow the prompts. To speak to the guard directly call 561-736-9797. The Guardhouse at Lyons Road will be manned 24 hours per day starting April 1st, 2011. All guests and vendors must enter the community through Lyons Road. The Acme Dairy entry gate is for resident’s use only, please note that the directory pad is only set up to be used to enter in your access code for entry; it does not have a call feature. Please contact Andrea or your Property Manager if you have any questions or if you need a form to change your gate directory information, or you can visit GRS Management at www.grsmgt.com to obtain a form.

If the event has a cost associated with it, the money needs to be collected by the published RSVP date listed for that event, only checks can be accepted, please make payable to Canyon Springs HOA. PARENTS EVEN THOUGH YOUR CHILD IS 16 YEARS OLD AND IS ALLOWED AT THE CLUBHOUSE, IT IS NOT A HANGOUT AND YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE WHEN CAUSING PROBLEMS.
