Round 7: With C, repeat round 6 of large square.Round 8: With B, repeat round 6 of large square.Round 9: With right side facing, join a in first ch-1 space to the left of corner on either short end of rectangle, ch 1, sc in each ch-1 space and in each dc around working in corners 1 and 3, (sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in corner ch 2 space; in corners 2 and 4, (2 sc, ch 2, sc); join with slip st in first sc – 43 sc on each long side and 1 ch at each end = 45 sts. 29 sc on each short side plus 1 ch at each end = 31 sts. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

assemblyWith right sides facing, using whipstitch through back loops of sts, sew all motifs together from corner ch to corner ch. Arrange all motifs following assembly diagram, balancing out colors. When sewing together small squares to large squares, count joining seam of small squares as a stitch. Sew rectangles through 31 sts at top or bottom to 31 sts of large squares. Sew sides of rectangles and join small and large squares tog (45 sts on rectangles to 46 on large and small squares) easing in extra st on joined large square and small square side.

BorderWith right side facing, join a, in first sc to the left of top right corner ch-2 space.Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each sc, each corner ch-2 space at seams and in each joining seam around, working (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner ch-2 space; join with slip st in first sc – 159 sc on top and bottom edges; 235 sc on each side edge).Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc, *skip next 2 sc, shell in next sc, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * around working at corners 1 and 3: skip 1 sc, 6 dc in corner ch-2 space, sc in next sc; at corners 2 and 4, 6 dc in corner ch 2 sp, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc; join with slip st in first sc.
