‘art�:screen fest�’ is a fest�ival whose main concept� is t�o invit�e curat�ors from different� video art� event�s and fest�ivals from around t�he world t�o curat�e screening programmes. And t�o provide an int�ernat�ional plat�form for net�-working and co-operat�ion possibilit�ies bet�ween curat�ors.

This years fest�ival offers 16 screening programmes, 5 video inst�allat�ions and one work-shop run by t�he Swedish art�ist� couple St�ina Pehrsdot�t�er and Niclas Hallberg. The fest�ival also offers 2 official lect�ures focusing on art�ist�-run init�iat�ives by t�he curat�ors Emeka Ogboh from Nigeria and Wilfried Agricola de Cologne from Germany, which will provide insight�s int�o t�oday’s world of video art� and moving image.

During t�he fest�ival t�here will be a Web TV st�udio run by Christ�ian Immo-nen and St�efan Bedin, Sweden report�ing from t�he fest�ival act�ivit�ies, t�hat� could be follow t�hrough a mobile phone, Ipad and PC.

The fest�ival is organized by ‘art�:screen’ which is a plat�form t�hat� show-cases cont�emporary video art� and moving image from Swedish and in-t�ernat�ional art�ist�s. ‘art�:screen’ is for many art�ist�s, t�he window for showing t�heir work in Sweden and Europe.

Johan Pouset�t�e holds a posit�ion as Cooordinat�or for Cont�em-porary Art� at� Riksut�st�ällningar (Swedish Exhibit�ion Agency), an expert� body promot�ing collaborat�ion and development� wit�hin t�he exhibit�ion field.
