Far exceeded Adequate Yearly Progress in Reading & Writing
Exceeded by 24% in Reading Exceeded by 14% in Writing
Lower Elementary:
Made TREMENDOUS strides in Reading & Math
Upper Elementary:
5th Graders grew in Reading and Writing and are outpacing the district and state in Science
6th Graders showed HUGE growth in Math & are outpacing the district and state in ALL subjects
ALL THIS WHILE GROWING 18.7%!

Continue on towards our goals of… Aligning our curriculum with new state standards Aligning our instructional practices throughout all classrooms within a department
Implementing a rigorous curriculum for Writing and Math that addresses the diverse needs of our students
Researching to ensure instructional innovation that both supports and challenges our students
All of these become a part of our Unified Improvement Plan
What we’re already doing to set the course
Providing teachers extended planning to individualize instruction via weekly early release
Implementing Montessori math and supplemental math curricula with fidelity to assure quality and continuity of math instruction across grade levels
Implementing the Write Tools instructional program while increasing daily writing practice and assessing monthly to guide next step instruction
• Introducing departmental Instructional Leaders to coach and support teachers
• Introducing Learning Coaches to individualize instruction according to student need
