Materials: Indiecita Baby Alpaca 4ply cream colour 100 1 x 50gmIndiecita Baby Suri Silk Brushed- cream colour 100 1x 25gmFor a thicker cowl this can also be knitted with Double Knit Baby Alpaca and Suri/Silk howeveryou would need 2 balls of DK and 1 of Suri/Silk
One Size: Bottom edge circumference 106cm, neck edge circumference 70 cm, depth 35cm Knitted inthe round on circular needle size 6mm or size to get tension approx. 15sts and 28 rows per 10cm. Tensiondoes not need to be exact. Garment uses all the yarn.
20 Row Pattern Repeat:Knit up from bottom cast on edge.Rounds 1-4: With 4 ply knits as garter stitch - knit rounds 1 and 3, purl rounds 2 and 4.Rounds 5-8: With Suri, knits as stocking stitch - knit all 4 rounds.Rounds 9-14: With 4 ply, knit eyelets. Knit round 9. Purl round 10. Round 11- * yo, k2tog*rep to end.Round 12: Knit.Round 13: *yo, slip1 (the YO from round 11) Knit 1, pass slip stitch over* repeat to end.Round 14: PurlRounds 15-20: With Suri - Knit all 6 rounds.

With Alpaca 4ply, cast on loosely, 144 sts and join in round, taking care not to twist cast on edge.Place a marker at join.Work the 20 round pattern twice, then work Rounds 1 - 4.On Round 5 with Suri, decrease 24 sts, - * Knit 4, k2tog * repeat . 120sts.Continue pattern and on the next Round 5, with Suri, decrease 20 sts - * Knit 4, k2tog* repeat. 100 sts.Work pattern until garment measures approx. 35cm.Cast off loosely with 4ply on Round 4 or 5.
