Once again, a very successful reunion took place over the weekend of 23rd to 25th March 2018

This year our guest was the Commanding Officer of 40 Commando Royal Marines Lt Col Paul Maynard RM together with his wife Nikki who was hosted by the association and the Chairman. The Commanding Officer gave us all a great insight into the activities of 40 Commando and said what we already knew in that the mighty 40 are still the "Mighty"And did a great job out in the Caribbean following the damage caused by the hurricane. The unit were awarded the Sword of honour for the great work they did. The same Commanding Officer is responsible this year for the provision of serving marines on each table and for the award being presented to the Hotel at this 2019 eventChairman.Brian Bartlett

A great deal of effort has gone into the planning of the 2019 anniversary 10th Reunion.

A lot of effort has been made by your committee members and we have spent somewhere in the region of £3,000.00 to make sure we had good entertainment for everyone to enjoy in this our 10th Anniversary Year.

A lot of effort has also been made by the Commanding Officer of 40 Commando Royal Marines in assisting us with the attendance of serving marines to man each table.

My thanks and that of the President and committee go out to Lt. Col Paul Maynard RM for his unstinting help and assistance with this special Anniversary event.

Confusion ReignsA lot of people who spot us on Facebook and online thinks that joining on Facebook makes them members of the Association. The only way that happens is if you complete a membership application form and submit to Membership secretary with your fee of £10 for a Full member or £7 for an associate member as per the rules and regs. Also, an annual fee of £5 is also payable preferably by standing order so as to keep everyone up to date. Pick one up today if you have not done this yet.Chairman
