Requires the Use of theD20 Modern Core Rulebook,
Published by Wizards of the Coast
The future is a foreign country, impossibly complex and fast moving. Everythingis different in 2107, beyond just the obvious factthat an well armed pagan techno-utopia wageswar against a Christian theocracy using post-human supersoldiers as its primary weapon. Thedetails matter more.
Details of the Future is a FREE mini-sourcebook collecting these details. A collectionof system-free random creation charts that let
you randomly build minor NPCs, back groundevents and set dressing. Since these details aresystem free they are equally useful in a D20Modern based Otherverse America campaign, clinic management sims run using the upcomingFrontlines of Choice system, or any othermodern or near-future cyberpunk, espionage orsci-fi game you play in.
Traumatic Pasts
The happy childhood is a relic of the pre-War past. Most of 2107s teenagers were bornduring the last days of the Abortion War, andthough they came of age in the post-Treaty era, they still have dim, nightmarish memories of airstrikes and Powered assault warning sirenssplitting the nights peace. The 22nd Centurysadults have it worse: even those who didnt fightin the War themselves probably have scars. After
all, railgun rounds dont discriminate betweensoldiers and non-combatants.
So what went wrong with your life, anddid the pain give you the impetus to pick up thegun or go post-human? Roll d20 to find out. Roll2d20 if God really hates you.

Ubasti Details
The genetically engineered lions knownas Ubasti are one the most unique races inOtherverse America. Already instantly
recognizable as an alien, Choicer intellect, thesegreat cats make excellent player characters ortough, honorable and indomitable adversaries. Afew quirks of pelt color, the addition of unusualcyber-systems or other decoration can make oneparticular Ubasti particularly stand out in yourplayers minds.
As always, you can read d20 across thetwo columns, or roll twice. You can choose togive your Ubasti one, two or more traits.
Tattoos of theOtherverse
Body modification is a major theme of
Otherverse America. From inking Save Roe onyour bicep to having reflex augmenters implantedin your lumbar spine, if you live in this world, youll change your body in accordance with yourbeliefs. Need some ritual ink or prison tattoos fora NPC or want some inspiration for your owncharacters look?
The tattoos chart is broken into Lifer andChoicer tattoo columns, though nothing isstopping you from mixing and matching as
desired. Note that these tattoos arent segregatedby age: CEOs or street punks are equally likely towear them. If you want more variety from thischart, just play around with tattoo placement, color or other minor details.

Serial Killers &Sex Predators of the 22nd
Century
Serial killers and sexual predators make
ideal villains for mixed-allegiance campaigns. Most predators tend to be loners, unable tofunction in a working society, and onlytangentially connected to either of the pseudo-nations. Sexual predators also commit crimes sovile and disturbing that even the most fanaticalLifer or Choicer will work with the enemy tobring the predator to justice, however reluctantthe cooperation. Hunting a child murderer in thebowels of the Savannah Enclave is a good reasonfor a gaming group composed of a couple ofLifer gunslingers, a cybered-up satr clinicdefender, a Lifer Vindicator and a passionateyoung Midwife to get together, and maybe evenstay together..
As always, you can either roll d20 andread across the row, or roll multiple times andcombine the results for a more diverse crop ofmonsters. You should note this chart producescinematic serial killers rather than realistic
psychopaths. While most are male, theres quite afew potential female villains lurking inside thisbuilder chart.
Making MonstersOh, this is going to be sick. Lets roll up
three serial predators and see what kind of freakscome out of the woodwork.
7-15-10-8: Moving with unearthly graceacross Topekas low skyline, a fullymasked sniper (likely female) is killingand dressing out Ubasti. After she tookout Ramases Threelegs, one of the mostbeloved of all Kansas feline war heroes, ajoint APEX and Choicer task force beganhunting the nimble female stalker. Thekiller is secretly Hannya Lourdes, a
wealthy Choicer micro-grav ballet dancerwho bought superhuman DNA toimprove her performance.and to getrevenge on the culture who rejected herfor Philosophical training when hersociopathic tendencies became apparent.
5-3-6-6: Theodore Strugiss, formerlyThe Black Bonesaint of the GeorgiaPeach A.O.G., has become the nightmareof Choicer Atlanta. Using skeletal combatdrones, he invades the home of an unwaryChoicer woman, and the rapes dont stopjust because she dies. He carefully selectsvictims that wont be missed for a fewweeks, living with his victims rottingcarcass for as long as possible. The
Neverborn murderer claims to be, andgenuinely believes, he is more human inthe hours just after a kill.
12-6-3-10: Tommy Tsang has adangerous fantasy life where he is a suaveassassin, above the law and conventionalmorality. He kills any man or woman whocatches his eye, silently and mercilesslystrangling them with carbon steel garrote. He works as a DJ in San Antonio, CorpusChristi and Brownsville TX night clubs, and fakes allegiance to whichever sidewill keep him safest at the moment. He isequally familiar with Lifer and Choicerculture.

Businesses & Minor
Mega Corps
The following businesses can be found inany suburban stripmall, shopping archeology orretail district. While these corps might have an
allegiance to either Lifer or Choicer, they usuallydo business with both sides, and try to stayneutral not out of tolerance or pacifism, butbecause selling to both sides is simply betterbusiness. A few companies are strongly alignedone way or the other, and are virtually unknownoutside their pseudo-nations territory.
First, roll 1d10 to determine the mega-corpspolitics.
1- Exclusively Choicer.2-4 Moderately Choicer but doesbusiness with everyone.5- Completely apolitical or Fed-Govaligned
6- Exclusively Fed-Gov.7-9 Moderately Lifer but doesreluctant business with outsiders.10- Exclusively Lifer.
After that, you can either roll d20 and readacross the row, or multiple d20s to generatea more complex mega-corp, as always.
So what does the corporate scene looklike, circa 2107? Ill roll up three random
businesses and find out. Note that the firstroll is a d10 check to find out what factionthe company pay allegiance to, and the restare d20 rolls.
8-14-17-13: Sandoz Small Arms is a Liferaligned firearms manufacturer, thoughChoicers unable to afford properfirepower sometimes carry their tech. Thecompany is constantly under investigationfor OSHA violations- the corporationcuts corners as much as possible, andminor workplace accidents are common.
2-10-3-6: Marcus Strone Automotive isan auto retailer in Choicer Sacramento.Like many local businesses, it wasincorporated using venture capitol fromStonecutter investors, and has a goodreputation among both human and xenocustomers.
4-19-18-3: A relatively new firm,Gargoyle Cybersystems incorporated in2105, but the medial cyberneticsmanufacturer has lined up a few juicysubcontracts with the Covenant. The firmis responsible for the maxillae articulatorsof Covenguard cyberhands, a contractthey won because Gargoyles CEO ismarried to a Woven Circle appropriationscommittee member.

Twenty StreetVendors
Street vendors can be found in designatedareas of most Choicer and many Fed-Gov cities-several blocks of streets where vehicle traffic isprohibited and a general fairground atmospherepredominates, at least on days where the weatherand the terrorists cooperate. These semi-permanent merchants are usually liscensed by thecity government and often found in the sameplaces. In Lifer cities, the working poor might set
up small, unlicensed stalls outside restaurants andchurch parking lots, hawking their (oftenuniquely Lifer) wares. Sometimes visiting FullPro-Life nomads or wandering Razor clans set upa merchant stall selling halfway inedible food, creepy Christian art, or second hand clothes orhand-me-down toys, and are off counting theirmoney before the cops show up.
Ten ChoicerStreet Vendors
1. The well-scrubbed, gleaming pink andsilver kiosk is the property ofSalon 73,and displays a dizzing assortment oforganic make-up, skin care products andlow tech beauty aids, as well as a fewself-guiding cosmetic genemod injectors. The kiosk is staffed by Hilde Hernandez,a seventeen year old Choicer clinicdefender, satr to look at her, proudly
displaying a thick golden nose ring andthe bruises of her last street fight. Shesvisibly embarrassed to be seen working apart time job at a Lifer owned kiosk, anddoes just enough business not to be fired.
2. A Mechanic post-human wearing a bigred name tag proclaiming him as George(real name Andrew Helikos) and

declaring that hes PROUDLYCHOICER is selling new and usedEscort Vests and Polychain at standardprices (see the Otherverse Armory) just afew blocks away from an impending clinicdefense. Light body armor hangs on neatracks, grouped by size. The armor looksgood (Spot/Perception DC 20+1d8) andthe sellers got a good line (+9 Bluffmodifier) but its factory-reject crap. Itworks as promised for 1d4 battles, beforefalling apart.
3. Thousands of tiny vials and airtightbaggies filled with ritual and medicinalherbs are arranged neatly across anarchaic, hand-assembled wooden desk.
The proprietor is a clean shaven, tanned50 year old dressed in comfortablesummer weight brown robes namedWinterhart Cole. Hes a low levelsuperhuman (Powered Hero (terraformer)3) from the Delight outcolony; if hedoesnt have the herb you want, he canflash grow it in specially made nutrientpots in less than a minute.
4. A smartlight cartoon carp swims in the airabove this tiny, one woman sushi stand. The owner and sole employee is a middleaged and moderately cyber-enhancedwoman (Jill Tokagai) who expertlyworks her knife in between compulsivelychecking political and stock market newsvia her internal Mesh card.
5. A fully water proof and mildly climate-controlled plastic tent encloses Cyber-
Stat, a compulsively neat cyber-electronics kiosk. Two clerks, oneMechanic (Suresh Devarajan) and onefull human (Trent Connell) work inside. They can diagnose common problemswith commercial-grade cybernetics andsmartlights, run standard virus scans, andperform basic implant cleaning and even afew minor repairs. For more complex
jobs, they refer clients to the companysmain office across town.
6. Daydreaming Data is an automatedstand that sells magazines and popularChoicer-penned fiction, in paperback ande-book format. It also prints out on-demand newspapers, using mediapreferences and interest tags uploaded bya customers smartlight or palmtopcomputer.
7. Katamia Kitty Markaros is anextremely distant third cousin of theruling family of the Choicer nation, and assuch her lunch time gyro stand is underdiscrete surveillance from a pair of very
low ranking Bedchamber Guards. Herside of the family hasnt spoken to aNicellos in ten years, at least, but she isstill a target, especially for Razor ransomkidnappers.
8. Primitive Dreams is an outlet for theproducts of a local art school, and adifferent student works the kiosk eachday. Today its James of the Wise Craft,a cocky 19 year old whose arms andnaked chest are covered in Choicertattoos. The store sells handmade leather, crystal, stone and ceramic amulets, pentacles cunningly woven from bloodred wood, and ceremonial stone athames, including a pair of silvery blades ofunknown alloy and unbelievable beauty.
9. The entrance to this claustrophobic kioskis draped in dark velvet half curtains.
Inside, amateur commercial geneticistValerie Heras Candle sells over thecounter genemods in self guidingapplicators, with an emphasis on sexualand contraceptive gene tech. She alsosells handmade ritual candles and soaps, some of which also contain rudimentarygenetech applications.

410. Changs Coffee, run by Ray Chang,
serves decent coffee and pre-packagedpastries. Its known for its Half Grey andStonecutter brews (at least those drinksthat most resemble coffee and are mostpalatable to humans), and has a large andloyal non-human clientele. For manyxeno-immigrants, the coffee stand is oneof the few places they can find nativedrinks.
Ten LiferStreet Vendors
11. The Cahill Razor clan, out of
Mississippi, is selling beer andsurprisingly good BBQ cooked on threetiny grills in the back of their pickup. Thetruck itself is a battered old behemoth, atleast 75 years old, crudely converted to ahover drive, and plastered with sun-fadedanti-abortion bumper stickers andanimated holo-foils depicting a ruin offetal tissue being transformed to a beatificNeverborn toddler. It takes a second, butyou realize the undead toddler is the girl(Baby Judith Cahill) grilling beef fajitason the trucks far side, now seeminglycollege-aged.
12. Two short blocks from an impendingrescue, a fat old grandmother (GeraldineDoughty), is selling tied bundles of whiteroses, irises, lilies and tiny baby bootiesdesigned to be placed on a ceremonialgrave of the unborn, not worn. She did
five years combat service with theArkansas AOG from 2061-66, as proudlyannounced by her monogrammed purpleand gold hat.
13. The Abilene Horrorshow has come totown. The crew operates out of aconverted semi-truck painted a purple sodark its almost black and airbrushed with
scenes of terrified, weeping Choicersinners and red-armed cartoon Midwivesfleeing the judgment of a warrior Jesus ingleaming golden armor. Inside, 8-10actors ranging in quality from genuinelygood to laughably amateurish act out thetraditional roles and scenes of a Lifer hellhouse for the price of a ticket.
14. An ancient, leathery Hispanic man(Sergio Gonzales) sits in the cab of hisrickety pickup truck and reads Spanish-language celeb-manga, while his ten yearold grandson Paul Espinosa conductsbusiness. The two are up from LiferFlorida with half a ton of non-geneticallyengineered oranges for sale.

The art is collected fromLifer dedicated rescuers doing timearound the country. Bachman sells on
consignment- the convicts family getsabout 25% of each high-dollar sale,Bachman herself pockets the rest.
17. Defiance Defense, a regionally knownarmorer has set up a sleek, masculine, allblack market stall selling nickel-finishknives, conventional ammunition (9mm,.45, .38, ect, nothing too exotic) and

power cells for energy weapons, and guncleaning kits. The store keeper is an oldschool Lifer vet (Bill Wayans) whosomehow finished the War with his rightsunhindered by the Treaty of Boston, andwill occasionally sell ceramic or cellulosecombat knives or even a light energypistol to somebody he knows, beyond ashadow of a doubt, is a Lifer gunslinger.Defiance pays off the local cops to lookthe other way, and mostly slips under thepolitical radar.

Citizens of theCovenantNeed to quickly populate a Choicer city, orrapidly build up a roster of sympathetic Choicerinnocents to defend when the restaurant theplayer characters are eating at is besieged by aLifer Ghost? You can do so with a few rolls. Youmay either roll D20 once and read the results
along a single row, or roll three times to build amore complex bystander. The fun in creating charts like these is
rolling on them, and seeing what characters andstory hooks emerge. I roll three times, and get.
12-9-12-15: Lady Esmerelda Williamson, aprivileged teenager who grew up on thehuman Embassy on Kor, and is morecomfortable in the howling, windswept andhellish deserts the Stonecutter species calls
