• 종교, 언론 및 출판의 집회및 청원의 권리

• 연방의회는 국교를설립하거나 자유로운종교행사를 금지하는 법률을제정할 수 없다. 또한 언론, 출판의 자유나 국민이평화롭게 집회할 수 있는권리 및 고충사항의 구제를위하여 정부에게 청원할 수있는 권리를 제한하는법률을 제정할 수 없다.

종교의 자유 (Freedom of Religion)

• Americans are free to worship—or not to worship—as they wish. No government official can dictate if, how, when, where or why they pray.

• The Supreme Court has made it clear that students are not to be coerced at school or school functions to join in any form of religious activity.
