Freemasons Victoria Order of MeritFreemasons Victoria Order of MeritFreemasons Victoria Order of Merit is designed to reflect a contemporary style service award where a vast range of conduct constituting worthy meritorious service can be recognised and awarded.The Order of Merit consists of awards that are tiered, each with different criteria. Awards are designated according to a tier, as either ‘member, fellow or companion’, with appropriate post nominals and a distinctive form of recognition provided.

The Companion category is awarded to a Freemason who has positively advanced the Craft’s interests, for example overcoming a significant organisational problem or contributing in a measurable way to the organisation’s growth and longevity.

The Fellow category is awarded to recognise service that is fundamentally important to the desirable advancement of the interests of the Craft, that although not necessarily novel or jurisdiction wide, they form an essential pillar of desirable conduct.
