Moreover theatre possesses a playful dimension which will allow the children to work upon their difficulties while enjoying themselves. The idea is to forget one’s inhibitions to progress. The investment of the body strengthens the memorization and allows a lively contextualization of the vocabulary. Finally, the creation of a show together brings a tangible orientation to the class. The aim of the class will be to build this show but this shared experience will also allow the children to use French in a real context of communication. In a paradoxical way, theatre brings reality into the classroom’, Roxane Paire, AF French tutor and PhD student in Theatre Studies
