French Day On March 18, fourteen Ridgewood High School students from French IIIH, IVH, and VAP aend- ed the fourth annual French Immersion Day at Montclair State University. Students parcipated in workshops presented in French by Montclair professors, including Paris est toujours une bonne idée (“Paris is al- ways a good idea”), and Harry Poer and Game of Thrones en français: Translang Best-Sellers, which highlighted the difficulty of translang works of ficon from one language to another. Another workshop featured short films on francophone themes submied by students from many local schools. The group was led by French teachers, Ronnie Friedman and Hélène Palumbo. FAST FACTS... According to research done by Common Sense Me- dia, 51% of teenagers watch TV while doing home- work and 50% are on social media. On February 19, the team once again skated to victory with a 3-0 win over the third seeded team in the tournament, Riverdell/Westwood. The game took place at the Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey. On March 18, fourteen Ridgewood High School

students from French IIIH, IVH, and VAP attend-

ed the fourth annual French Immersion Day at

Montclair State University.

Students participated in workshops presented

in French by Montclair professors, including

Paris est toujours une bonne idée (“Paris is al-

ways a good idea”), and Harry Potter and Game

Big North Patriot Cup

The ice hockey team of Ridgewood High School

won the Big North Patriot Cup for the third

year in a row.

On February 19, the team once again skated to

victory with a 3-0 win over the third seeded

team in the tournament, Riverdell/Westwood.

The game took place at the Ice Vault in Wayne,

New Jersey.

Ridgewood High School students pose on St. Patrick’s Day on March

17. In celebration of the Irish holiday, RHS’ Self-Advocacy Club held a

party with the help of students from the RISE program. Attendees

celebrated by making St. Patrick’s themed arts and crafts, and ate

classic Irish food, such as soda bread.

A Window Into Ridgewood High School AATG German National Exam Results

The American Association of Teachers of German’s National Ger-

man Exam is administered every year to 22,000 high school stu-

dents. The results have recently been published, and Ridgewood

High School would like to congratulate the following students:
