This week’s theme is: “Consequences” School Informaon Technology Policy The current school ICT Policy is up for review and I am asking for parent input into the revised policy. The policy covers the use of all technologies in the school including the use of iPads and the current pracce of all children in the upper school bringing their devices from home. The current ICT Policy was discussed at last night’s staff meeng and we will connue the discussion with the aim of presenng a new policy to School Council at the November meeng. Parents can respond in wring or through conversaon with me. Cricket Carnival Last week three teams of children in grades 5 and 6 represented the school at the Kanga Cricket Tournament. I was really impressed with the manner in which the children competed and the atude they displayed in games. They were great representaves of our school. Remembrance Day The children in grade 4/5 and grade 5/6 will be aending the Remembrance Day service at the Nathalia Memorial Gardens on November 11th from 10.30 - 11.30am. We will be making wreaths for the children to lay on the day so I ask if parents can donate flowers and foliage from their gardens to send along to school on the morning of the eleventh. Long Weekend Next Tuesday the school will be closed because of the public holiday for Melbourne Cup Day. The school is also closed the day before as a day in lieu for the early start for staff in term one. Teachers began the school year a day before the scheduled start to meet with Educaon Department staff. RACV Energy Breakthrough Challenge Preparaon for the RACV Challenge is well underway with the Nathalia Primary School team working hard with Mrs Hill every week. We are grateful for the generous donaon of $300 from the Nathalia Lions Club that was presented to the school last week for the RACV Challenge. Thanks, Chris McCallum—Principal
