    Sacrament of Anointing

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament to prepare the faithful before or at a time of surgery, serious illness, infirmity, old age, and in danger of death. It is a Sacrament to help a person be spiritually prepared and opened to the gift of healing through anointing of holy oil. The Bishop blesses this oil at the Chrism Mass every year.

Anyone anticipating surgery, is seriously ill or infirm can be anointed. The Priest should be notified well before the need if possible. Therefore, the Sacrament should be administered even before the person goes into a hospital. The Sacrament of Anointing should be prepared for by the celebration of the Sacrament of Penance (Confession).

In case of emergency, hospital personnel should be notified that a Catholic Priest needs to be called for the Anointing of the person in an extreme situation.

If you would like to schedule the Sacrament of Anointing for yourself or a family member, please call the parish office.

  • PENTACOST SUNDAY

All events are at OLMC Hall in Moriarty

--Food Pantry – second Thursday of the month at 11:00am

--Utility Assistance – every Friday 9:30am-11:30am

--Monthly member meeting - Third Sunday of the month

    after the 10:00 a.m. Mass.

We are blessed that we have several new members that

came to us after our recruitment meeting, and we thank

God for their presence. However, we need more members.

Consider attending a monthly meeting at our new time and

day which is shown above. Attending a meeting is not a

commitment, but only means that you are interested in

finding out more about our SVdP ministry, which is the

only outreach our parish has, to serve those who need our

    help.

Thank you to all the pantry volunteers who lovingly

dedicate their time to help feed our poor.

Thank you also, to those who continue to bring plastic

    grocery bags for our pantry.

Archdiocese of Santa Fe Annual Catholic Appeal

    2017 Theme is:

“His Mercy Endures Forever – Feed the Hungry”

The 2017Annual Catholic Appeal is a way to actively

participate in the Archdiocesan-wide effort to spread

God’s love and mercy through the work of all our

ministries. This means not only the actual giving of food

to people but feeding the spiritual needs of people as well.

Donating to ACA outreach helps spread the work of Christ

to our own communities – beyond our own parishes.

If you have not pledged to ACA in the past, please

consider doing so. Consider pledging an amount that you

can budget throughout the year as it is easier to make a

larger donation if you pay on a monthly basis. There are

ACA pledge cards and envelopes at the back of the

churches. Please return your card in the Sunday collection,

mail to PO Box 129, Moriarty, 87035, or bring by the

Parish Office. Please make out your checks to Annual

Catholic Appeal. Please call Cathy at the Parish Office,

832-6655, if you have any questions.

Thank you for supporting the Archdiocese of Santa Fe

    Annual Catholic Appeal.

If you are not receiving your Sunday tithing envelopes and

would like to have them, please call the parish office.

Electronic tithing makes your Sunday contributions

secure, convenient and timely. We accept Credit and Debit card payments. For information, please call Cathy

    at 832-6655

Giving of our time, talent and treasure is not about giving

until it hurts. Rather, it is about giving until you feel good

    about what you have given.

Only if I serve my neighbor can my eyes be opened to what

God does for me and how much He loves me.
