Golden Schools Athletic Sports Last Friday, all our 7-11 year olds took part in the Golden Bay Schools’ Athletic Sports,

which were held at the GBHS grounds.

We had been training the children up, as well as having our own sports the previous

week, so the children were well prepared.

The training certainly paid off with some great personal results as well as success with

getting placed in the top three in their age group at each event and some going

through to be overall champions.

The staff were rapt with the effort the children put in and the support they gave to

their teammates.

Overall Champions from Motupipi are:

7yr Boys: 1st- Rhys Williams 7yr Girls: 2nd-Amber Ray 8yr Boys: 1st-Guy Robertson 8yr Girls: 1st-Zoe Carlton
