2:15 pm – 3:15 pm The New Leasing Standard – What You Need to KnowCourse#: 161005 CPE: 1.0 Level: Intermediate/Advanced Prerequisites: None

On February 25, 2016, the FASB issued the new standard, Leases (ASC 842). There are elements of the new standard that could impact almost all entities to some extent, although lessees will likely see the most significant changes. Lessees will need to recognize virtually all of their leases on the balance sheet, by recording a right-of-use asset and lease liability.

This course will review the significant differences between the new and the current leasing accounting standard to include: Definition of a lease, build-to-suit arrangement, lease classification, balance sheet presentation, income and expense recognition, inception date versus commencement date, reassessment lessee, modification, initial direct costs, sale-leaseback transactions, lease versus nonlease components

3:15 pm – 3:25 pm Break

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Are we Really Ready for Value Based Care?Course#: 161006 CPE: 1.0 Level: Intermediate Prerequisites: None

To gain a further understanding of how the market place evolves when Value Based Care becomes the driving force. This session will contrast the major changes that come as the industry moves from a fee for service model to a Population Health model which will include forms of risk sharing and capitation. One will see the challenges that exist as a market makes this transition. This transition not only effects facility providers, but will impact all Medical providers working in these markets. The many moving parts including Insurance, traditional Part A and Part B side are all impacted by this transition.
