Arlington-based Texas Health Resources is planning a 20 -acre hospital campus in Frisco that will be lo-cated on the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Cobb Hill Drive. It is scheduled to open in the third-quarter of 2019.

Texas Health’s new campus will house a 74 -bed, 325,000 square-foot acute care hospital, a 120,000 square-foot medical office building and a 90,000 square -foot multi-specialty clinic. The faith-based, non-profit health system operates in 16 north and central Texas counties, where it runs 17 acute -care hospi-tals, has more than 5,900 physicians with active privileges and employs an estimated 25,000 people. The new hospital campus will be its first in Frisco.

Hunt Realty Investments has purchased the 2,544 -acre Headquarters Ranch from the estate of Bert Fields Jr. The sprawling ranch stretches from Preston Road west past the Dallas North Tollway and all the way north to U.S. Highway 380.

Hunt Realty has formed a partnership with Dallas' Chief Partners LP, Legacy West developer Karahan Cos., CrossTie Capital Ltd. and the Fields estate to develop the huge property.

Hunt Realty and its partners intend to design and build a project including commercial buildings, offices, retail, single-family and multifamily homes, and educational facilities.

The Karahan Cos., led by Fehmi Karahan, will be a co -master developer of the property. Karahan was lead partner in the hugely successful $3 billion Legacy West development in Plano. "Frisco and the property deserve something special and different," Kleinert said. "We want to attract headquarters to Frisco." The partners in the development include some of North Texas' wealthiest and most experienced investors. The Fields property is one of the top sites that the Profes-sional Golfers Association of America is considering for its new headquarters.
