50% better impact sound insulation3)
The Schöck Isokorb® XT significantly reduces the transfer of impact sound from covered balconies and balconies into the building. In addition, in many cases further measures such as floating flooring are unnecessary.
Approved by the Passive House Institute4) Thanks to its 30% extra thermal insu-lation5) even passive houses can be constructed with free cantilever bal-conies without a problem. The new Schöck Isokorb® XT is approved as a "minimal thermal bridge design".
The new Schöck Isokorb® XTAs inventor and innovator in the area of thermal bridges and cantilever construction elements Schöck continuously redefines the state of the art. We therefore adapted the Schöck Isokorb® to the ever increasing demands for thermal insulation and sound protection, so that it already meets tomorrow's demands today. This means the new Schöck Isokorb® XT will also make a particularly effective contribution to consistent energy savings and impact sound insulation in the future. The Schöck Isokorb® XT therefore provides an efficient thermal insulation element with increased impact sound protection.
1) Kronolith is a registered brand of the Kronos ecochem company 2) Neopor® is a registered brand of BASF3) Compared with the corresponding Schöck Isokorb® types with d = 80 mm and a height of 180 mm with regard to ΔLn,v,w
Further information is available at www.schoeck.de/de/bauphysikvergleich4) Passive House Institute, Darmstadt, www.passiv.de5) On average for types KXT and QXT compared with the corresponding Schöck Isokorb® types K and Q with d = 80 mm with regard to equivalent Req
50% thicker insulating elementThe matching insulating element thickness contributes not only to improved thermal conductivity and increased impact sound protection but also to a thermal insulation layer which is as uniform and continuous as possible.
Optimised pressure moduleSchöck has further developed the core of the Isokorb® XT, the multi-patented HTE module. With identical cross-section and despite the modi-fied insulating element thickness of 120 mm and an optimised composi-tion, the module made from high-density micro-fibre reinforced con-crete with Kronolith1) guarantees the high thermal insulation of the Schöck Isokorb® XT. It therefore provides an unsurpassed combination of high load-bearing capacity and optimum thermal conductivity.
Improved insulating materialThe insulating material in the new Schöck Isokorb® XT consists of Neopor®2) (l = 0.031 W/m·K).

Schöck Isokorb®The Schöck Isokorb® with HTE module and an insulating element thickness of 80 mm offers excellent thermal insulation, documented safety and economic efficiency. It provides good protection against thermal bridges for cantilevered construction elements and significantly reduces the risk of construction damage and mould formation.
The secret lies in the pressure bearing – the HTE module. Apart from the building physics and structural benefits, the pressure bearing pad provides real advantages for installation. This is because the Isokorb® with HTE module has no projecting pressure bearing pad which could interfere while fitting it in the reinforcement. It is therefore very easy to install and enables ideal handling on site.
Improved insulating materialThe new insulating material in the Isokorb is called Neopor®1), a silver-grey polystyrene. The colouring is due to the addition of the material graphite which absorbs and reflects thermal radiation (l = 0.031 W/m·K).
Guaranteed safety The HTE module made from high-density micro-fibre reinforced concrete was perfected over 3 years by means of numerous structural, dynamic and building physics tests. A new composition using Kronolith2) improves the thermal conductivity of the Schöck Isokorb®. Its safety is certified by the approval of the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt ).
Very cost effectiveFlush integrated pressure bearing pad.No snags during installation on site or in the prefabricating plant. For rapid con-struction progress and excellent thermal insulation.
1) Neopor® is a registered brand of BASF2) Kronolith is a registered brand of the Kronos ecochem company.

Schöck Isokorb® For steel constructionPenetrating structural members, such as cantilever canopies or crossbars in frame systems have now become a popular construction principle in modern steel high-rise construction. However, the good thermal conductivity of steel can lead to disastrous side effects without a thermal break: the formation of thermal bridges and consequent loss of expensive heating energy.Free cantilever steel structures involve a further serious risk: the inside surface temperature drops significantly due to the increased outward flow of heat in non-insulated steel members. This can mean that the minimum requirements for preventing damp are not complied with even when the outside temperature is only -5 °C. The consequences are structural damage such as condensation formation, mould growth and corrosion.
The RWTH Aachen University in Germany carried out detailed research comparing various application examples for preventing thermal bridges in steel construction. The results are clear: none of the current solutions met the statutory requirements for thermal protection and energy conservation with one exception - the Schöck Isokorb® KST. The Schöck Isokorb® type KST was the only thermal break element for steel construction to meet all the guidelines, thus providing 100% safety for planning, minimising energy costs and preventing structural damage.
The Schöck Isokorb® type KST is available in two load ranges (KST16, KST22). The insulation material thickness is 80 mm. The essential steel component for transferring the forces in the Isokorb® consists of stainless steel (l = 15 W/m · K). This reduces thermal conductivity to a minimum.
Freedom of designwithout elaborate constructions or restrictions in planning and implementation
Heavy dutywithstands high bending moment and shear force loading
Design safety thanks to structural standards, comprehensive planning documents and competent advice
Easy assemblyas in conventional faceplate connections - for all current structural steel shapes
Modular configurationthanks to separate intermediate insulation elements for individual adjustment of the height on site
Top qualityand reliable corrosion protec-tion due to all non-rusting steel

Product group 38Schöck Isokorb® Types KST and QSTSchöck Isokorb® type KST: The thermal insulation element for connecting free cantilevered steel components to steel structures. Consisting of a KST-ZST module and a KST-QST module. The element is for the transfer of bending moments and shear forces and consists of non-rusting steel with an integrated insulation layer. The steel structures to be joined are supplied fully pre-cast by the steel fabricator. Due to the high level of prefabrication at the steel construction works, the installation time for the steel structures on the construction site is considerably reduced. The element is joined by simple screwed connections.
Schöck Isokorb® type KST-QST module: The thermally insulated element for connecting supported steel components to steel structures. The element is for the transfer of shear forces and normal forces and consists of non-rusting steel with an integrated insulation layer. Moments can also be absorbed when using several elements which in combination form an inner lever arm. The steel structures to be joined are supplied fully pre-cast by the steel fabricator. Due to the high level of prefabrication at the steel construction works, the installation time for the steel structures on the construction site is considerably reduced. The element is joined by simple screwed connections.

Schöck Novomur®Non-insulated foundations create a significant thermal bridge effect. Effective insulation is essential in order to avoid the effects associated with this, such as the risk of mould and increased thermal losses. Schöck Novomur® and Schöck Novomur® light display a high level of thermal insulation combined with high load-bearing capacity. Added to this is the water-repellent property of the elements which guarantees that practically no moisture can penetrate the thermal insulation elements and the wall base, even during the shell phase when dampness can be a problem. Altogether this results in very efficient insulation of the thermal bridge in the foundations. Due to the water-repellent property, a high level of thermal insulation is present from the start – the elements do not need to dry out for years on end in order to attain the intended level of thermal insulation.
In terms of load-bearing capacity, Schöck Novomur® is designed for use in apartment buildings. Schöck Novomur® light is the ideal insulation element for single-family houses.
Simply completeAvailable for different wall thicknesses: 11.5 cm, 15 cm, 17.5 cm, 20 cm and 24 cm. Exact brick/block widths. Outer and inner sides cannot be mixed up.
Strong stuffStone strength class 20 for Schöck Novomur® and stone strength class 6 for Schöck Novomur® light. Dimensioning based on the simplified procedure speci-fied in DIN 1053/1, A.6.
Top protection against dampBoth elements are practically non capillary absorbent. Classificationaccording to DIN 4108, Part 3 as water-repellent.
Approved by building control authoritiesFor lime-sand brickwork with normal mortar or thin-bed mortar and for solid brickwork (acc. to DIN V 105) with normal mortar.
Sure and safeInterlocked joint without mortar. Ensures easy and exact installation.
Powerful insulation High load-bearing capacity – powerful insulation. λ = 0.268 W/(m · K) for Schöck Novomur® and λ = 0.193 W/(m · K) for Schöck Novomur® light.
Very easy to handleElement length 0.75 m for convenient handling. Based on standard masonry grid dimensions.

Schöck Tronsole®Tranquillity is a basic need. In an age of rush and noise in particular, people increasingly long for quiet and relaxation. That is why sound proofing within buildings is no luxury, but more of an urgent necessity. Planners should pay greater attention to this especially when it comes to staircases in apartment blocks. Because noisy stairs are a frequent or even daily area of conflict. And legal disputes in particular convey a clear message.

type P-SST, Schöck Tronsole® type F-SST 1.0, Schöck Tronsole® type B-SST 100 x 35) on the prefabricated staircase elements either on-site or in the prefabricating plant. We recommend applying the adhesive with a large adhesive spreader (approx. 8 mm) over the entire precast element surfaces.
The Schöck joint slabs prevent sound bridges across joints. For maximum impact sound insulation, Schöck Tronsoles must be used in conjunction with Schöck joint sheets. The adhesive tape supplied with the sound proofing package makes it easy to install the stairs without any sound bridges, based on the installation instructions.

BAR®
In highly abrasive environments such as bridge end beams, multi-storey car parks, industrial floors and industrial plants as well as construction components affected by sea water, significant damage due to corrosion occurs when using reinforcing steel.
In such cases, the innovative Schöck ComBAR® reinforcing bar can be a cost-effective long-term alternative to reinforcing steel (in construction components with crack-bridging coating) or stainless steel. This high-strength material made from glass fibre reinforced polymer is extremely durable, linearly elastic up to failure, does not conduct electricity or heat and is also easy to machine.
Schöck ComBAR® handles like conventional reinforcing steel for the purposes of design and ordering as well as on site.

The use of steel has been tried and tested in concrete reinforcement for decades. But there are still applications where alternatives are needed. This is where Schöck ComBAR® comes in. Schöck ComBAR® is a reinforcing bar made from GRP and presents unique benefits in comparison with steel. Schöck ComBAR® is non-corroding, chemical resistant and easy to cut and has an extremely low thermal conductivity.
The Schöck ComBAR® cavity wall anchor provides prefabricating plants and architects with a construction material which is a cost-effective thermal bridge-free alternative to conventional anchoring solutions for insulated double and sandwich walls.
Simple to installThe Schöck ComBAR® Thermoanker can simply be inserted into the pre-drilled insu-lation. No need for expensive filling of the spaces between the joints with foam as is required with conventional mesh grid connections.
Only 1 connection elementThe outer facing shell is only connected to the inner supporting shell by means of the Thermoanker. Spacer and tie rod in one product.
Comprehensive serviceTechnical advice in the design phase and on-site support in the prefabricating plant.
EconomicalOnly approx. 5 anchors with 12 mm diameter necessary per m2 (acc. to structural requirement). Stainless steel lattice girders are no longer required. There is no need for additional connections.
Dimensionally accurate deliveryThe dimensionally accurate and ready-to-install anchors for each wall thickness are delivered to the prefabricating plant. (Unit = 200 items)
Fire resistanceFire resistance meets the current EU standard.
Approved by building control authoritiesFor double and sandwich walls Z-21.8-1894
Thermally insulatingExcellent thermal insulation due to low thermal conductivity. Right from the planning stage, the Schöck ComBAR® Thermoanker can guarantee an outer shell connection in double and sandwich walls with almost no thermal bridge. Schöck ComBAR® = 0.5 W/mK; non-rusting construction steel = 15W/mK; steel = 60W/mK

1 General Conditions The conditions specified in the following shall be deemed as agreed upon for all contracts, deliveries and services. They shall also be ap-plicable to all future business transactions with the customer. We do not accept provisions that deviate from these conditions unless explicitly approved in writing. This shall apply in par-ticular to the customer's conditions, even if we have not expressly objected to such conditions or have undertaken delivery unconditionally. Any modifications of and supplements to a contract as well as subsidiary agreements shall only be binding if they have been confirmed by us in writing. If our conditions are modified, the conditions shall be applicable in their changed version as of the date on which they were first received by the customer.
2 Offer/Offer Documents a) Our offer shall be subject to change unless otherwise stated in the order confirmation. A cus-tomer order which constitutes an offer in terms of section 145 of the German civil code (BGB) may be accepted by us within 2 weeks. If no order confirmation is issued, the order shall be deemed accepted by the respective delivery or invoice.b) We reserve ownership and copyrightsto any and all drawings, illustrations, calculations and other documents. Any disclosure of such documents to third par-ties by the customer shall require our explicit written approval.
3 Prices In the absence of special agreements, our prices shall be interpreted ex works, including works loading. Prices are subject to value-added tax at the statutory rate.
4 Delivery timeThe delivery period shall commence upon dis-patch of the order confirmation but not before final clarification of all order details. The same shall also apply to delivery dates.b) Should the customer fail to timely fulfil any contractual obligations – also with regard to cooperation and accessory obligations such as the provision of documents to be furnished by the customer, payment of a deposit or similar – we shall be entitled to reasonably postpone our delivery periods and dates in accordance with our production processes’ requirements. c) The date of shipment of goods ex works or warehouse shall be the decisive factor for com-pliance with delivery periods and dates. Should we fail to timely ship the delivery items without any fault on our part, the notification date of shipping readiness shall be applicable instead. The delivery period shall be reasonably extended in the case of measures taken in the course of industrial action, particularly strikes and lockouts, as well as upon the occurrence of unforeseeable obstacles that are beyond our control, as far as such obstacles have a demon-strably significant influence on the completion or supply of the delivery item. This shall also be applicable to cases where our sub-suppliers suffer such occurrences. In important cases, we shall inform the customer of the start and finish of these kind of hindrances as soon as possible. e) Should the specified delivery date be ex-ceeded, the customer shall be entitled to grant a reasonable period of grace. Should no delivery be effected by the expiry of such grace period, the customer shall be entitled to withdraw from the contract by means of a written declaration. Should the delivery delay be founded on an intentional or grossly negligent contractual violation on our part, we shall be liable in ac-cordance with the legal regulations and – except for cases of intentional actions – limited to the foreseeable and typically accruing damage. We shall be entitled to fulfil orders in the form of partial deliveries which may not be rejected by the customer as long as the remaining deliveries are supplied within the specified delivery period or the partial deliveries made are of reasonable benefit to the customer. In case of mutual commercial transactions, each partial delivery shall be deemed an independ-ent business transaction.g) No call orders shall be acceptable for special goods.
5 Passing of Risk a) The risk shall pass to the buyer ex our works or ex our delivery warehouse, including in respect of partial deliveries undertaken.b) If the goods are shipped to the buyer's ad-dress or sent to a different location upon request of the buyer, the risk of the goods' accidental
loss and accidental deterioration shall pass to the buyer upon the goods' delivery to the shipping agent (section 447, clause 1 BGB) or, at the latest, upon the goods leaving the works or the delivery warehouse, irrespective of which party bears the freight costs. This shall also be applicable if the buyer is a consumer in terms of section 13 of the BGB and the goods are shipped to a different location than the place of delivery upon his request. Section 474 clause 2 BGB shall not be applicable in this instance.c) Should we – in whole or in part – bear the freight costs, we shall be entitled to specify the shipping route and the shipping type. Should the buyer request a different shipping route or type and should we accept this request, the buyer shall bear the extra costs compared to the cheapest shipping option.
6 Loading Passable transport routes shall form a prereq-uisite for free construction site deliveries. Such roads shall be passable using loaded, heavy truck trailers. Should such roads not be avail-able, then any damage which may result and unloading times in excess of one hour per truck trailer shall be borne by the buyer.
7 Terms of paymenta) Invoices shall fall due for payment no later than 30 days after the invoice date without any deductions, unless a different credit term has explicitly been agreed upon. We shall grant a 2% cash discount on the net value of the goods for payment within 14 days. Such cash discount shall, however, only be granted if no payment arrears from earlier invoices is outstanding. b) In case of belated payment, we shall be entitled to charge default interest without prejudice to the assertion of any further dam-age in accordance with section 288, clause 1 BGB (5% above the base rate of the European Central Bank) or, with mutual commercial transactions, in accordance with section 288, clause 2 BGB (8% above the base rate of the European Central Bank).c) Any cheques and bills of exchange shall only be acceptable subject to security and on account of payment. Any and all discount and note charges shall be borne by the buyer.d) The buyer shall only be entitled to offset counterclaims that are either uncontested or have been recognised by declaratory judgement.Should the buyer's financial situation deterio-rate or should circumstances arise which justify any doubts as to the buyer's capacity to pay, particularly with regard to bill of exchange or cheque protests, payment delays, payment arrears from other deliveries or slow payment, we are entitled, without prejudice to any and all rights otherwise enforceable on our behalf, to request immediate payment of any and all outstanding unsettled claims or security and, as far as payment or security does not ensue within a reasonable period, to completely or partially withdraw from the contract. The buyer undertakes to honour any and all bills of exchange and cheques provided to us for pay-ment, irrespective of their maturity. Likewise, we shall be entitled to withhold our services until the payment or provision of security should we obtain knowledge of the customer being subject to any of the above-mentioned circumstances after order confirmation. Any non-compliance on the part of the buyer with the payment obligations or improper disposal of supplied goods shall entitle us to discontinue any further deliveries to the buyer without prejudice to any further claims enforceable on our behalf.
8 Securities The following securities shall be granted to us until the settlement of all claims (including any and all current account balance claims) which we may be entitled to for any cause in law against the buyer now or in the future:a) The goods shall remain our property (reserved goods). The buyer shall be entitled to process and sell the reserved goods within the scope of orderly business transactions as long as he is not in arrears. Any pledging or transfer by way of security is prohibited. Should our (co-)ownership cease due to union, it is hereby agreed that the buyer's (co-)ownership in the common object shall pass to us in proportion to its value (invoice value). The buyer shall keep our (co-)ownership safely free of charge. Any and all claims arising from the reselling of the reserved goods or on the basis of other legal grounds (insurance, un-lawful acts) referring to the reserved goods shall
be fully assigned to us for security purposes. We herewith revocably authorise the buyer to col-lect the claims assigned to us in his own name and for our account. The buyer shall be obliged to disclose the assignment upon request and to provide us with any and all information and documents relating thereto.b) In case of third party access to the reserved goods, particularly with regard to pledging, the buyer shall point out our ownership and imme-diately inform us accordingly. The buyer shall be liable for any and all costs and damage.c) In the case of the buyer acting contrary to the terms of the contract – particularly with regard to late payment – we shall be entitled to reclaim the reserved goods at the expense of the buyer or, if applicable, to request the buyer’s assignment of his claim for return against third parties. All reclaimed goods shall be utilised and the utilisation proceeds shall, reduced by reasonable utilisation costs, be offset against the buyer's liabilities.d) Should the reserved goods be installed as a fixture on a third party's property by the buyer, the buyer shall immediately assign any and all claims for compensation which will become due to the buyer against such third parties or other interested parties to us in the amount of the reserved goods' value, including all ancillary rights such as the right to the granting of a debt-securing mortgage (section 648 BGB) or rights resulting from rendered securities (section 648 a BGB); we herewith accept such assignment. Upon request, the buyer shall be obliged to inform us as to whether and when the supplied building components are installed. The buyer shall be entitled to obtain the registration of a debt-securing mortgage himself, but shall be obliged to transfer any and all rights from such mortgage to us upon request. e) Should the value of the securities due to us exceed our overall claim by more than 10%, we shall, upon the buyer's request, be obliged to re-transfer the respective amount, while the securities to be released shall be selected at our sole discretion.f) Any cash payments, bank transfers or cheque payments effected against the provision of a bill of exchange issued by us and accepted by the buyer shall only be deemed as performance in accordance with sentence 1 if the bill of exchange has been honoured by the drawer and we have thereby been exempt from bill liability.
9 Liability for Defects In exclusion of all further claims, we shall be liable for defects within the statutory periods specified in section 438 BGB as follows: a) Goods whose usability turns out to be un-serviceable or whose serviceability turns out to be significantly impaired due to circumstances which have originated prior to the passing of risks – particularly due to construction, fabrication, quality, surface quality or other workmanship deficiencies – shall, according to our reasonably exercised discretion, either be repaired or newly delivered free of charge within a reasonable period in exclusion of the buyer’s option right (subsequent performance).
aa) The quality shall be based on the average quality of the manufacturer's production at the date of delivery.Colour deviations are technically unavoidable and shall be excluded from liability. ab) Any references to DIN standards shall generally contain a detailed goods description and shall not constitute any warranty as to any specific condition of the goods, unless such condition has been expressly warranted in writing.ac) In view of constant technical progress, the illustrations and descriptions contained in the catalogue and the price lists and on our homepage shall be non-binding and shall therefore not justify any expectations on the part of the buyer with respect to any specific properties of the goods which may lead to the assumption of a material defect in accordance with section 434 clause 1, sentence 3 BGB.b) The customer's compliance with his obligation of inspection, notification and rejection in accordance with section 377 of the German commercial code (HGB) shall form the prerequisite for our liability for defects. Notification of obvious defects shall be given in writing, including a specified description of such defects, within a period of 10 calendar days after receipt of the goods. The same notification period shall apply to latent defects or defects occurring at a later point in time, calculated from the discovery of such defects.
Should no notification of defect be submitted or submitted belatedly, the warranty obligation for the respective defects shall cease to apply. c) The buyer shall be solely responsible for the goods' inspection regarding any damage during transport as well as compliance with the ordered quantities. Should the goods not be inspected upon acceptance or unloading and faulty or similarly deficient goods are then installed, we cannot be held liable for such installation. Any and all defects shall require a written acknowl-edgement on our part. Replaced parts shall be returned to us upon request.d) Should we refuse to offer supplemen-tary performance or should supplementary performance repeatedly fail, the buyer shall be entitled to withdraw from the contract or to reduce the purchase price.Any and all claims for damage brought forward by the buyer for damage which has not oc-curred in the delivery item itself as well as any claims for damages founded on entrepreneur recourse (section 478 BGB) shall be excluded). Such exemption from liability shall not be applicable to cases involving intention and gross negligence by the seller, his legal repre-sentatives or his agents. Such exemption from liability shall furthermore not be applicable to cases involving defects of specific properties of the goods warranted or guaranteed by us, given such warranty or guarantee was aimed at safeguarding the buyer against the damage which has taken place. However, claims for damages shall, in all cases, be limited to predictable, typically occurring damage.
10 Product Safety We shall not be held liable for any damage re-sulting from any faulty application or improper installation of our products. We expressly point out that the goods may only be used for the contractually specified or normal intended purpose of the product. In this context, all applicable constructional regulations as well as all potential applications and design guidelines contained in building control approvals, type certifications and technical documentation shall be strictly adhered to. Any and all enclosed or attached processing or mounting instructions or – in the absence of such instructions – the utilisation of the products in accordance with state-of-the-art science and technology shall always be complied with.
11 General Restriction of Liability a) As far as the above provisions contain no specifications to the contrary, we shall only be held liable for damages brought forward on the grounds of the infringement of contractual or extra-contractual obligations in cases of intent or gross negligence. This shall also apply to cases where the compensation of useless expenditure is claimed. We shall, however, only be held liable for cases involving the intent and gross negligence of non-executive agents if such agents have neglected essential contractual obligations. b) The limitation of our liability for damages shall likewise be applicable to the personal liability for damages of our employees, repre-sentatives and agents.c) Any and all claims in accordance with the German product liability law shall remain unaffected. In such cases, the customer shall be obliged to bring forward his claims for dam-ages within an exclusion period of six months after discovery or the constructive notice of the liability grounds.
12 Place of Performance, Place of Jurisdiction, Choice of Law a) The place of performance for our delivery obligations shall be the location of the delivery works or the warehouse from which we deliver; the place of performance for the buyer's pay-ment obligation shall be our company headquar-ters in Baden-Baden. The place of jurisdiction for both contractual parties shall be Baden-Baden. We shall also be entitled to file actions at the buyer's general place of jurisdiction.b) The German text of the present conditions as well as our order confirmation shall be authoritative. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall be applicable to the exclusion of the applicability of the uniform international trade law (CISG).
