By the present I would like to bring more Aloe Vera Whole Leaf
Extract knowledge to enrich Prop 65.
We are a Pharmaceutical Laboratory established in Canary
Islands, Spain from 1995. We are specialized in R&D,
manufacturing and commercialization of Canary medicinal plants. We
manufacture Aloe Vera Pure raw material for cosmetic, alimentary,
textile, etc… industries under our brand Aloveria®. We have
developed a exclusive formula to preserve all the elements inside
the plant are. Our R&D works from years have been developed in
collaboration with worldwide institutions. Canary Islands is the
richest biodiversity area into Europe territory. Here Aloe Vera
uses are well known from centuries.
SOME HISTORY.When Spanish colons comes before America
discovering, Franciscans monks wrote about Aloe Vera and others
medicinal plants that Ancient Canaries knew. Then Franciscans carry
on Aloe Vera to America. Aloe Vera also grown in North Africa and
South Asia, in a latitude close to parallel 28°. Since Egyptian
Ebers Papyrus times until now there are lots of writings which
talks about wonderful properties of Aloe Vera and its uses,
internal (drink juice) and external (skin care). More recently,
between centuries VIII and XV, Muslims extend in South Europe
(Spain) Aloe Vera plantations to obtain latex to drink as a
powerful laxant. That is why today in the Aloe Monography of
European Pharmacopeia, only Anthraquinones identification is done.
Due to this monography, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) is identify in
European Pharmacopeia by Anthraquinones content, expressed in
Barbaloine. Otherwise, other products without Barbaloine content is
not Aloe Barbadensis. Today, several civilizations in Africa, South
America and South Asia eats Aloe Vera dried leafs as a natural
laxant.
I try to explain that traditional uses of Aloe Vera Whole Leaf
internal and external and its properties are well known since
thousands years ago, until now.
RESEARCH AND STUDIES.
Since the middle of century XX researcher have been studied Aloe
Vera content trying to find which elements cause health benefits.
They found that Aloe Vera Leaves contain 96% water and a lot of
elements in the other 4%. It has been identified more than 200
elements among vitamins, mono and polysaccharides, enzymes,
minerals, amino-acids and anthraquinones. All of them in a small
quantity. No one significant. So, there are many opinions, but
where most researchers agree is that it is the combination of all
these elements which produce a synergistic effect.
Certainly empiric properties of Aloe Vera Whole Leaf are well
known. However in most of the studies conducted researchers have
used derivative content of the plant (dry extracts, solutions,…),
processed in different ways that alter the delicate balance of
natural chemicals.
Since 1995 we have made more than 40 qualitative and
quantitative studies about our Aloe Vera Pure (Whole Leaf)
Aloveria. If you are interested we can send you some of them about
anti-oxidant properties of Aloveria in human and animals cells,
in-vitro and in-vivo.
In case of Proposition 65 about INTERNAL USE of Aloe Vera Whole
Leaf Extract, it would be very important that you

· “Exposure data do not identify the type of product used by the
many consumer”: Really there is a identification problem in the
most of the products in the market due to inadequate regulation for
the declaration of purity of the Aloe Vera products. So, there are
lots of derivate and adulterate Aloe Vera products in the market,
but all of them use the Aloe Vera Whole Leaf properties. So, the
problem is the labeling norm for raw materials for industry and for
finished products for consumers, because the most of finished
products are manufactured with Aloe Vera extracts, not with Aloe
Vera Whole Leaf. So, they are Aloe Vera derivates.
· “…increased incidences of adenoma and carcinoma of the large
intestine”. There are lots of studies which demonstrate some
healthy properties of Aloe Vera Whole Leaf with Athraquinones. See

Dear Sirs,
Additionally to my email dated 05/14/2015 I send you some two
interesting references about the uses of Aloe anthraquinones.
No one scientific study confirm the genotoxic effect of ALOE
VERA WHOLE LEAF. In contrast, numerous studies conclude positive
results on the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant
and antioxidant activity of Aloe anthraquinones.
Only in some cases where mice or rats were treated with overdose
of some isolated and concentrated hydroxyanthracene derivatives
were found a toxic effect. This effect is possible to achieve with
many other isolated and concentrated chemical elements, meanwhile
they are healthy in its normal status while on a daily food.
ALOE VERA WHOLE LEAF: it is a natural product with more than 200
elements content in a very few quantity, well balanced and safe. I
