Sanctuary Flowers
The flowers in the sanctuary on October 7 are dedicated to the glory of God
and placed in memory of D. B. Jay, a founding member of First Baptist
Church, by Gene and Lydia Mason. D. B. Jay is the great grandfather of
Lydia Mason.
We have FILLED ONE position but are still in
need of ONE MORE paid nursery worker. If

If you would like to give to help with the relief
efforts in the Carolinas due to the recent hurricane
and storms, please do so. We are partnering with
our Baptist friends who are offering relief in these
weather torn regions. Just mark you giving “Hurricane Relief”.
Abundance Ministry
Thank you for continuing this ministry in our community. We
are excited that the residents at Lifecare have a new Social
Director and she is working hard to keep the residents active
and seeing that their needs are met. With the money you give,
we are able to help with some of those needs as well as provide treats for
them. You can bring chips, snack cakes, drinks, etc. or you may donate to
the Abundance Ministry and the things that are needed will be purchased.
The Bridge Sunday School Class will have a Tail Gate
Event on Friday, October 5th beginning at 6pm in Burch
Hall. Please mark your calendar and don’t miss this time
of food and fellowship with family and friends!
Coat, Tie and Belt Drive for FHS Capstone Students
We are collecting men’s ties (any type), coats and belts
for FHS students to have as they formally present their
senior capstone projects at the end of each semester.
Each project is presented to a panel of judges and the
student must dress formally. We will be collecting until
October 21st. Drop by your donations to the church office or leave them in
the Narthex on Sunday mornings. Please help us support our local students.
From Dr. Jerry I hope everyone will be here this Sunday for our
