PASTOR’S CORNER
This week there is another Marian Feast, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Empress of the Americas. Our Span-ish-speaking members are gathering for Mañanitas and prayer in St. Serra Hall from 4:00 until 7:00 the morning of December 12th. Beginning at 6:00 that evening they will gather in church to serenade the Virgin, to pray the most holy rosary, and to celebrate Mass in Spanish at 7:30 PM. Social follows Mass back in St. Serra Hall. All are most welcome to join in this celebration.
Thursday, December 14th , we will gather in Our La-dy’s Chapel at 7:00 PM to join our brothers and sis-ters from St. Paul Episcopal Church for Advent Les-sons and Carols. Through Scripture and song will trace God’s preparation of humankind for the Incar-nation of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please give yourself this gift of a ONE hour respite from the busy-ness of daily life. Lectors and EM of Holy Communion are strongly invited to see this as ful-filling your periodic formation and “retreat” time.
Special Advent information is on the cover of the bulletin where the Mission Statement is usually found. Please note the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass schedules. The number of Masses is re-duced this year for a variety of reasons including: Historically low attendance at some of the Mass-
es in the past several years Wear and tear on the priests and deacons with
the Fourth Sunday of Advent being also Christ-mas Eve
Limited number of ministers, especially for mu-sic, which is an integral part of good liturgy, es-pecially on a Solemnity like the Nativity of the Lord Jesus
Thank you for your kind understanding of this pasto-ral decision.
Continue to focus on the Advent themes of being awake, attentive and ready to welcome the Lord in the various ways he comes to us!

La información del advenimiento se localiza en la portada del boletín donde generalmente se encuentra es-crita nuestra misión. Tenga en cuenta los horarios de Misa de Nochebuena y Navidad.
