March/April 2019
Dear All,
This year, the National Library Week Theme is “Libraries =
Strong Communities” [April 7-13, 2019] and we are all proud to
be active members of the very lively Island Trees community.
My staff and I have enjoyed participating in many events and
celebrations with such groups as the Levittown Community
Council and we look forward to forging new partnerships as
new members of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce.
As an integral part of the community, we have also heard many
of your concerns over the rising cost of living, especially taxes.
This year, on April 16, join us as we vote on our budget with a
0% increase – that’s right, we are not raising taxes this year.
Peace,
Michelle Young - Director
