From the Principal’s Desk Year 3 and 4 Camp Our Year 3 and 4 students leſt yesterday for Camp Rumbug in South Gippsland. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare for the camp and we hope that they have some reasonable weather. We are sure that everyone will have a great me and will return to school on Friday with many stories to share. Tracey Porter Cyber Safety Evening Next Tuesday the 30 th of August at 7:00pm, Tracey Porter will present to our community regarding online safety for our children. Tracey will also be presenng a very important online safety seminar to the children in years 5 & 6 at 2:30pm. Tracey is an expert in the field and will share strategies to support our students to safely navigate the online world. If you haven’t already, please RSVP by Monday the 29 th of August. Transion We have a comprehensive transion program at Balwyn North Primary School, which allows students to familiarise themselves with procedures, environments and physical learning spaces to ensure a seamless transion to their new year level. The formal transion program in preparaon for 2017 will begin on Monday 29 th August, where students move to the class levels they will be in 2017. Students will move in their current home groups on this day as classes for 2017 have not yet been determined. These transion experiences support students to feel more comfortable about moving to a new environment and help facilitate a smooth start to the new school year. The program on Monday will run from recess to lunchme. Athlecs Sadly, the weather was not on our side again last week for our second aempt for the Athlecs Days (both junior and senior). From the Principal’s Desk

Year 3 and 4 Camp

Our Year 3 and 4 students left yesterday for Camp Rumbug in South Gippsland. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare for the camp and we hope that they have some reasonable weather. We are sure that everyone will have a great time and will return to school on Friday with many stories to share.

MONTHLY LUNCH

The PFA would like to warmly welcome all parents to our monthly lunch. It is

a chance to get together, have a chat over a meal and get to know some other

parents in the BNPS community.

This month, the lunch will be held at Tassal Kew, 339 – 343 High Street

(opposite KFC) (booking under Jean) at 12pm on Monday 29 August 2016.
